Crossroads…
Back to Squared One.
She kissed him goodbye and walked slowly back into a solemn reality of who she was and where she came from. It seemed as though every moment she spend with Angad, everything time he held her close to him, every instance that he kissed her, with his hands caressing hers arms and neck all seemed to slowly evaporate from her being. She walked as though it was death she was to meet, her heart beating so fast that she could no longer feel it's presence in her body. Kripa was home…
She hand was shaking as she knocked on the door, quickly she heard footsteps running towards the door and a voice from the back. It was her mother. Nandini quickly opened the door and gasped as she saw Kripa standing before her. Almost immediately the eye's of both mother and daughter filled with tears of joy and sorrow. Nandini held her daughter in her arms and cried all the tears she had held in for so long. "Where did you go? Why did you go Kripa? We were so worried…so scared," she cried as she brought Kripa in the house. Nothing changed in Kripa's house, it still smelt the same, the carpet still felt the same, the window near the kitchen was still broken, and just as he sat before she left…her father, Karan sat on the rocking chair with his broad shoulders holding his head up high. Kripa walked in almost about to faint when she finally met her fathers eyes.
Angad's day wasn't half as drastic as Kripa's day was. Angad already trained everyone in his life to not bother to much about and him or to ask too many questions. Where he went, why he went, with who and all of that good stuff has never and will never be asked to Angad. This trip was more then a vacation for Angad, it was his last few days of freedom. Soon, he'd have to join his fathers business and from then on, his life would no longer be his to live. Angad was walking up the stairs to his room when he heard a voice call him from behind. "Welcome back son," said his father. Angad just rolled his eyes a continued back up the stairs. "I hope you had fun," said his father. "Because this was the last time you ever go on these crazy adventures for a very long time," he added. Angad turned around and walked up to his father. "Excuse me," he asked
"You heard me right son, congratulations your getting married," Angad's father congratulated him. Angad's mouth dropped in shock, before he could say a word his father yelled out that they'd be going to the girls house the coming morning. Angad called his a** of a father up right away to make one point perfectly clear.
"If you think your going to tell me to go to go and get married to some dumb dumb rich girl, and I'm just going to jump and do it then your wrong. There is no way I'm going to see anyone one!" he yelled into the phone.
"We'll see," said his dad, and hung up the phone.
Kripa spent the entire day explaining everything to her parents, from why she ran away to everything that happened to her, back to why she returned. Everything except Angad. Her parents listened, they cried and they tried their best to understand even when they didn't.
"Well, I guess I'll call Kunal and call of the marriage," said Karan. Nandini looked at Karan with her eye's wide. "I mean, you did all this because of that right, Kripa, I could lose me honor but I can never lose you again. Nothing is worth that," said Kripa's dad as he stood up to make the call.
Kripa sat there thinking as her dad walked away. His words kept replaying in her mind, I could lose my honor…This was so unfair! After all this drama, Kripa just went back to square one. What was she to do? Kripa couldn't think, everything was happening so fast, she just couldn't think. Before her mind and heart could do anything, Kripa's mouth opened.
"No baba! I'm ready to marry….that boy, um Sunny," she said making a face as she said S-U-N-N-Y.
Karan turned around and walked back up to Kripa. "Bt, I thought you…Kripa are you sure?, He asked. "Yes, I am. I just wanted to live for a while, just wanted to see the world outside these four walls, I did that now…I'm ready to marry Sunny," she said confidently. Karan hugged his daughter tightly and expressed how happy he was. "I love you Kripa, I love you," he said and it melted Kripa's heart.
Kripa knew what she had to do now, she had to live for her parents just as she did before. She had to forget her love and herself…but first she had to call Angad.
She dialed the number quickly, and then hung up even quicker. Why couldn't she just not call him, maybe he'd just forget about her then. No, he knew where she lived and knowing Angad, he'd be here within two days. She loved him so much, maybe she could just have an affair after she got married, no that wouldn't work. She just wished she was tell her parents the truth, but she couldn't. Her fathers word, his honor was more important, everyone in our circle knew she was to marry Sunny, she couldn't back down now. She rang him again and took a deep breathe. Her heart began to race when she heard his breathe on the phone, and right away his voice, his strong, masculine, perfect voice. It sent chills down her spine.
"Hey, I've been meaning to call you," he said happily. "So, how'd the rents take it?" he asked then.
"They were calm, I guess…um Angad there's a problem. I cant talk for too long, but…," she just could say it. What was she going to say? Sorry dude, road trip's over and so are we. No, no, what was she going to say?
"I miss you," he said after a pause. "I mean, I really miss you, like a lot," he added. Kripa could vividly picture his face as he spoke, he was so handsome, so sexy…so…sigh.
"I…I…cant..,"
"What are your parents around? Just say I love God if they are, for some reason they get happy to hear that," Angad joked.
"Angad I cant see you anymore, I'm getting married," she said quickly. "I'm sorry, I just, I cant fight them anymore…I cant," she cried. "I love you so much, but…I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Angad…," she stopped as she heard the phone click. Angad just hung up. Kripa sat on her bed and cried her heart out.
The night came quickly and after ours of conversation with her parents about just about anything, Kripa went to bed teary eyed. She was so horrible, she hurt her parents, and Angad, and now she was most likely going to make S-U-N-N-Y'S life hell too. But then she didn't really care for Sunny anyway.
To Be Continued…
Coming up- Angad Comes to see Kripa and convince her to leave with him
