Sujal and Kashish groaned but Mahek came to their rescue
M - you guys go and rest, I'll take care of her
Sujal, Kashish and Rishi went to sleep while Mahek and Jaspreet played with each other

Jaspreet ran around the apartment with Sujal behind her, she giggled as he picked her into his arms and tickled her
J - dad stop!!!
Sujal stopped tickling her and put her down, she kissed his cheek and ran out of the room, Sujal went to his room where Kashish was standing in front of the mirror, he hugged her from behind and put his head on her shoulder
S - I'm tired
K - you just woke up
S - I know but 10 minutes of playing with my princess tires me out
Kashish smiled
S - I'm starting to think she needs someone else to play with....i don't know maybe a brother or sister
Sujal looked at Kashish naughtily, he kissed her neck
S - and since we're here....we might as well take advantage
K - Sujal.....behave
S - what behave? I'm not saying it for myself, I'm saying for our daughter
Kashish looked at him sternly
S - ok I may be saying it for myself a bit...only this much though
Sujal held up his hand and gestured a small amount, Kashish laughed at him and put her arms around his neck
K - ok....here's the deal, you persuade Rishi and Mahek to keep Jaspreet here for this weekend.....
Sujal's face lit up
S - and we can go have our honeymoon?
Kashish giggled at his enthusiasm
K - yea that's one way of putting it
S - great
Sujal kissed her cheek and turned to leave the room when.....
K - but.....
Sujal turned around and frowned
S - I knew there was a catch...go on what is it?
K - when we go back to India, we don't go home, instead we go to Nanital to see nanima
Sujal got down on one knee and held her hand and kissed it
S - your wish is my command
K - you do know that we took 4 weeks off
S - so?
K - so I want to spend at least one in Nanital
S - we will
K - yeah which means we can only stay here for 3
Sujal saw her point
S - I'll talk to her
Kashish smiled, Sujal left the room and went into the living room where Jaspreet was watching cartoons with Rishi, he sat next to her and scooped her into his arms
S - princess
J - ........
S - princess!
J - what dad?
S - we need to talk
J - I'm watching Tom and Jerry dad, later
S - bachaa we need to talk now
Jaspreet looked at Sujal, she knew that he only called her bachaa when he had bad news
J - what is it?
S - well.....i have good news and bad news
J - what?
S - the good news is you are going to stay here with Rishi chachu while me and mom go somewhere else for the weekend
J - yaaay!!! .....what's the bad?
S - your mom wants to visit her nanima in Nanital, so we need to leave one week earlier
Jaspreet frowned, Sujal cuddled her
J - but dad....then we won't have as much fun as we wanted
S - I know princess, but we can have fun in Nanital
J - no we won't....mom said that everyone has to speak hindi there
S - what's wrong with that?
J - I don't know a lot of hindi do i.....you and mom always speak english
S - yea you're right......but don't worry it will be ok
Sujal kissed her cheek
J - dad?
S - yea?
J - are we going to go before or after my birthday?
S - after of course
Jaspreet smiled and kissed her dad's cheek, he smiled and let her continue watching tv. two days later.......
K - ok here's the number of the hotel we will be staying at, here's a list of her favourite food, oh and make sure she sleeps on time, and not that much cartoons, ....and....oh yes make sure when she sleeps she has fluffy beside her, she cannot sleep without fluffy........
R - chill bhabhi!
Kashish and Sujal were all set to leave for the weekend and Kashish, like any mother who had never left their child with anyone else was obviously being overly-concerned, she was giving Rishi a list of things which Jaspreet needed
R - bhabhi come on, you're going away for two days...not two weeks, just go....have fun
M - yea Kashish, you have nothing to worry about
K - ok we're leaving, bachaa come here
Jaspreet hugged her mom....well more like Kashish was suffocating her, Sujal pulled her away, Kashish frowned and kissed her cheeks
K - ok now be a good girl, and listen to your chachu and Mahek aunty ok? and don't watch too much tv, ok bachaa, mummy's going to miss you
Kashish kissed her again
S - ok...let dad have a turn now
K - oh..here
Kashish stepped back as Sujal pulled Jaspreet into a cuddle
S - you going to miss me?
J - yes.....
S - I'm going to miss you too, but we'll be back before you know it, and i'll call every night before you sleep
J - promise?
S - promise princess
Sujal kissed her forehead and stood up and picked up the bag
S - ok dude, call us if anything happens
R - I know bhaiya, go...
Sujal smiled, Kashish gave Jaspreet another hug and followed Sujal out of the apartment and into the taxi, they waved goodbye , Kashish kept turning around
S - Kashish stop it....we can't even see the house now....chill
K - I'm ok...
Sujal put his arm around her
K - what if something happens? and we're not in the hotel?
S - then Rishi knows where the hotel is he will come and get us
K - yea you're right......but what if something happens to Rishi? you know what lets just go back....we can wait until she's older
S - Kashish! just calm down, tum tho aise kar rahi ho jaise ke hum usse kabhi nahin dhekne vale
K - kya karoon, I'm her mother
S - I know....and i'm her father, please calm down......if you're like this now, what will you be like when she gets married?
K - you'll be worse
Sujal chuckled and hugged Kashish, he closed his eyes, Kashish was right, he would be worse when Jaspreet got married, but there was plenty of years left for that, Sujal smiled to himself as the hotel arrived, the cab driver took the luggage out of the car, handed it to Sujal and took his fare. Sujal and Kashish made their way to the receptionist
S - hi, we have a reservation, Mr and Mrs Garewal?
Rec - oh yes sir, you're in room 207, on the second floor, the bellhop will show you, here are you're keys
Sujal smiled and thanked her, the bellhop took their luggage and led them to the room, once they got there Sujal flopped onto the bed, he took off his jacket and looked at Kashish who was on the hotel phone
S - Kashish who are you calling?
K - Rishi
S - why?
K - to see if she's ok
Sujal moaned and took the phone receiver off her
S - we are here to have fun! ok stop worrying please
Kashish relaxed in his arms, they hugged each other for a while when there was a knock on the door

Sujal opened the door, shocked at who he saw

S - oh my god.....Archie
Archie (Urvashi Dholakia) pulls Sujal into a hug, Kashish clears her throat and Sujal pulls away
S - err Archie, this is Kashish...my wife, Kashish this is Archie, we used to go college together
K - I see
A - nice to meet you
S - so you work here?
A - yea, i'm the manager
S - you always did want to manage a hotel
A - yep....anyways I came here to invite you to join in the hotel's celebrations, its the 10th birthday
K - thanks....what time?
A - it starts at 8pm, in the lounge...dress code is formal
K - we'll come
A - ok anyways it was nice seeing you again Sujal
Sujal smiled and shut the door and faced Kashish
K - so why haven't I heard of this Archie before........?
