“They took Papa’s store, they never paid us. Do you care?” Nidhi knew where she was going

“I WAS going to meet with Sharma Purohit next week, they want to do it legallu, now that I am going back I don’t know….”

“Matlab?” Nidhi was hopping mad

“I told him if I find the conveyance deed I will keep the store”

“YOU will keep the store”

“It was a MANNER OF SPEAKING Ma”

“I told him I still want the store back” she was tearful

“So we wont get the money?”

“I will ask him, for money, but we have to promise not to spend it so we can buy the store back when we get the conveyance deed”

“What confusing nonsense is this Tarooo?”

Nidhi was really agitated

Pallavi couldn’t understand either

But both Taaruni and Pallavi were sure it had something to do with Gaurav

“I am going to sit down” Taaruni was exhausted

She was getting heavier, and tired-er. Her life was a mess, her mother was charging after her like a raging bull

“ We are getting paid for the store ma, one crore something… I will ask them to wire it to you.. I don’t want it, PLEASE hang on to it, don’t spend it, I want to buy Papa’s store back when I locate the deed”

“Taroo tumhara dimag sahih ai? WHY?”

“Because I want Quill back where it was”

“Tumhe itna sab kuch honey ke baad bhi aqal nahi aayi?”

“PAPA chale gaye Taroo. He doesn’t care”

Taaruni cried hard

“I care about you three. Mera ek bacha suffer kar raha hai”

“Will you give the whole thing to him?” Taaruni was horrified

“TUMHE us se kya? Papa left it to ME”

“We don’t know that… I cant let you… the money and the missing deed are the only ways to recreate the store”

Pallavi was upstairs calling Tushar

Tushar was furious with his mother when he returned

He told Taaruni she should just leave for Delhi

Taaruni packed a bag from her parents house, locked up Tushar & Gaurav’s room with as many locks as possible.

Went to the new shop, gave instructions to Sunil and Deepak. Called Harkeerat Uncle and asked him to manage the store on her behalf.

Now that he had been promised money in the legal settlement Harkeerat was quite eager to be Mr Goody two shoes

Taaruni realized she had quoted 1 crore to her mother

Whatever her mother will potentially receive WILL include Harkeerat’s portion she realized.

She had mis calculated

She texted Tushar about it

“Tu ja Dilli aur rest kar”

The flight was 8, she went to Pradyut’s hotel at 4, and found the food he had ordered for her last night

The EXACT same thing Pallavi had cooked baingan and karela

She wanted to give Pradyut a hug

She ate and showered and slumped in bed, with Harold sleeping by her feet

“Taara… ready to go?” he gently shook her

“Hmm… thanks for the food, I ate it an hour ago”

“We missed the flight, we are leaving at 9:45

“No, I was late getting back” he smiled

“Bike still parked at your parents?” he asked

“I can drop it off at ur brother’s” he winked, “Before we head out to the airport”

He was incorrigible

But he was what her bruised heart wanted at this moment she thought

“I am not going back there” she said quietly

Very sad for Taaruni 😔

Sumedha is in her corner a lot more than Nidhi. Thats just sad.

If Gaurav is in pain, he deserves it. He brought all that on himself. Its not like he didn't get any money. He did. He stole and sold the books, and even got money from Gopal. What was the result? Even if all the books are sold, store is sold, he will run through all that money in no time. Then what?

Nidhi has an easy fix for Tara. Go back to your husband and everything is good. Then there is an easy fix for Gaurav too. Get a job and man up.

I am not sure if it’s only me who thinks this way but there is stark difference in the way atleast North Indian parents react to achievements/wrong doing girl child and male child.

The other day happen to visit a very nice family and they were very welcoming.
both son and daughter are achiever’s but father only was talking about the son.
daughter I know has done remarkably well to reach where she is but the pride in her was missing.

similarly I feel Taaruni though is no saint but the criticism she gets from Nidhi is coz of her biases she has.

What I have seen is boys getting priority treatment. Girls have to be perfect because they will have to abide by another family when they marry. Boys will call their own shots so that can do whatever. Boys will take care of the parents when they get old, so make nice with them.

Boys get away with a lot more. Their mistakes are glossed over.
