Um, "hoist on its own placard" ... is that a misquotation or a deliberate change to make "hoisted on its own pétard" sound more dignified?

Whether the anti-equality Government is figuratively blown away by its own explosive in its effort to punish sexual/gender minorities, or exposed by its own hypocritical statements, it's good to see its arguments demolished.

Urban elitist.. refer to my response to Tia, two or three posts above. Basically the govt is like shadi vadi sab moh maya hai.. if you gay. That's why it is urban elitist concept, cuz grassroots wale toh bechare survival ke liye hi pareshan hai na.

The first generation of human rights is civil and political rights. The second generation of human rights includes economic, social and cultural rights and the third generation of human rights are called solidarity rights or rights of communities.

The LGBTQ+ community in India has first generation rights but social acceptance is limited to "urban" strata, which has no supporting data.

This is going in a good direction. This gives me hope for the LGBTQIA+ community. I am glad the judge said that the govt has no data to prove that same-sex marriage is an "urban elitist" concept. I was so furious when I read Center said it was.
