The SHO is reflecting the thoughts of many that a man (husband) here and can beat up a woman (wife) and others have no business interferring stopping it. The woman should not be encouraged to raise her voice to this injustice..as it really is not unjust.!!!

So no wonder he is looking to nail Vi whichever way he can. Be it why she was at their house, works with underage and illegal workers...

and completley sidestepping the slaps (my assumption is there is no physical evidence).

Vi is right and passionate and her natural reaction was to use a pillow to push Babu and free his wife. But one is fighting an ingrained mindset in society....as she will continue to work with them in future it should be to call the useless cops..not physically intervene. Let see what Babu wife says will she accuse her husband or not~ Will not be suprised if she denies it.

Viv is already disappointed with her not getting into the PhD program.

Now with this unpleasant police incident, I am concerned if it will have any negative impact on her NGO work.

This NGO work is what keeping her strong after the doctorate program rejection. I just hope things get resolved without much drama and negative impact.

People like Atwal are there everywhere.

It's going to be lot of rebalancing for everyone involved. Raanav and Satyen will have to come to accept that she's going to be caught in a fracas like this given her cause. She needs to realign her work style a bit to not to get confrontational with the cop sleaze that's kind of become a norm.

There's a dialogue from page 3 that has stayed with me. You have to stay in the system to fight the system. People who can learn to balance have achieved their greatest learning.

The system that supervises and governs the SHO's is actually a parallel system where the rustic belt are feeders and kingmakers. The SHO works for this parallel system that has the blessings of the political system. It's a deep rooted evil that we all are aware of.

That nagging feeling Viveka has, she better act on it and call for help. She is within her legal rights to get help and that help is not anywhere outside of parashar home.

Hot & Hers

Lekha's mom hates the Parasher house? Has Smrita heard this? Its good that Lekha and Viveka have nothing in common. Less is better in this case.

Viveka did get the hot dude. A hot dude that loves sparring.

Gift of love

Satyen's gift to Viveka was very thoughtful. Smrita wanted it to be monetary so she could gloat about it. Plus a monetary gift would not build a strong bond. The prospect of her husband and son getting attached to Viveka terrifies Smrita.

Raanav did not want to show his gift, so it must be something very personal.

Unintended/Unexpected Activism

Mr. Atwal is a prime example of the attitude present in the mindset of many. The woman is the problem. The woman who gets beaten, or the woman who intervenes. The man can do no wrong. Babu got a booboo and he is so concerned about it. Has he looked at what happened to Pihu? Viveka is getting the third degree with no concern about Pihu.
