Two months later:
Kripa: Mrs. Brown, I'm going out for a walk. I'll be back soon.
Mrs. Brown: Heavens! Honey how can you think of going for a walk in this sweltering heat? Why don't you sit down in a shady part of the park? You will be able to enjoy the light breeze. And make sure you are away from the blaring heat of the sun.
Kripa nodded in assent. She as living in Kaavya's cottage in Paris with Mrs. Brown a bustling housekeeper who tended to Kripa's needs and fussed over her like a mother. The pregnancy had given Kripa's skin a fresh pallor and a healthy glow. There was still no sign to give away her pregnant state except for a slight bulge in the middle.
Kripa was dressed in an oversized t-shirts and tracks. She stepped outside the house and took in a breath of fresh air, taking a step forward but stopped dead in her tracks when her eyes saw the figure that had been haunting her dreams; Angad. Kripa pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming but he still there Angad, her Angad in the flesh but he lookedā¦. different somehow. There were dark circles under his eyes, he looked tired, and the shirt that had once clung to his body was loose on him.
Angad looked at her with such need in his eyes that she rushed towards him but stopped a few paces away. She could not let go of her emotions, not now.
Angad: KRIPA! He rushed forth to embrace her but Kripa moved away. Angad was hurt but hid it. He surveyed her closely, she looked considerably well, healthier, and more radiant and she had put on some weight. He wanted to put his arms around her and tell her how much he had missed her, the sleepless nights spent looking for her and the joy and relief he had felt when he got a phone call concerning her whereabouts.
Kripa: How did you find me?
Angad: Mr. Granger the hotel manager at the hotel saw you at the mall the other day. He followed you here and called me.
Kripa: What are you doing here Angad? She asked sitting down on the porch. Angad did not answer her. He grabbed her hand and examined the wedding band. Kripa pulled her hand away. The close proximity was unnerving.
Angad: I missed you. Why did you leave? Please come back with me.
Kripa: I can't. Please go away Angad. Move on with your life. You don't need me.
Angad: I have something for you. Would you please wait here till I get it for you? Kripa nodded in assent. She stood there in the blazing heat, sweating because of the heat. Mrs. Brown came outside.
Mrs. Brown: Tsk Tskā¦ Kripa dear I asked you to stay out of the heat. It's not good for you or your baby. Angad came up as soon as she uttered the words and stared at Kripa incredulously.
Angad: Baby? He stared at Kripa in disbelief. Kripa paled when she saw him. Oh no! he knew. She swayed and Angad rushed forth to grab her before she hit the ground.
Kripa opened her eyes and Angad's concerned face swum into view. He placed a wet cloth over her forehead.
Angad: How are you feeling?
Kripa: Angad I'm pregnant not sick! She exclaimed vehemently. All I need is a little water.
Angad: How many months?
Kripa: 2 and months
Angad: Why didn't you tell me?
Kripa: You said you hated children. I didn't know whether you loved me or not. I didn't want to tie you down with the baby.
Angad: Kripa, I am so so sorry. You had to go through so much alone all because of me. Kripa stared at Angad confused. Ever since the first time I met you, I was attracted towards you.
You were so different from all the girls I knew, you were unique. Needless to say, the attraction grew into something else, something deeper.
But I was scared. No girl had ever had such an effect on me and I wasn't sure I wanted that. I wanted to forget you, I tried to forget you but I was hooked.
He smiled at her. Kripa stared at him, scarcely breathing, allowing a small flame to build within her.
Angad continued, believe me I never meant to hurt you but hurting you hurt me more. When you went off, my life returned to normal but you were always there in a corner of my mind.
When you came back, I knew I wanted you and was coming to terms with the fact that I possibly loved you when Kaavya entered the picture.
God! I was so scared of loosing you to him. I was determined to make you mine but was unsure of your feelings so I cornered you into marrying me.
Every single day I spent with you is so dear to me. It broke me up when you left.

Kripa: I love you too. She flung herself in his arms, sobbing her heart out and time lost all meaning as their lips met and clung together. They had an eternity to make up or lost time and were eager to start.
EPILOGUE (1 and years later)
Angad looked around and saw his wife approach him with their 1 year old son, Krish. He smiled at her with such love and warmth that her eyes filled up. She went up to him and intertwined her fingers with his.
Angad: Ladies and Gentlemen! We are here to celebrate to grand events today! The inauguration of our hotel as well as Krish's birthday. I am so glad that you came so without further ado, he picked up the scissors and both Angad and Kripa clipped the ribbon. The two exchanged a kiss and all went inside to enjoy the party.
Kripa looked around at all the people she loved. Josh and Aaliya were there with the almost one year old daughter Aisha. Prem and a heavily pregnant Mukti Kaavya and Anjali were away on a second honeymoon.
Kripa picked up Krish in her arms who was fast asleep and put him in the crib. She went to her room and started to take off her jewelry. She smiled as Angad came up from behind and hugged her, snuggling in his arms.
Angad: You know, we still haven't got a gift for Krish yet.
Kripa: Talk about yourself I already have the perfect gift for him.
Angad: Really? What is it?
Kripa: You'll have to wait another 9 months to find out. Angad let out a whoop of joy and picked Kripa up in his arms.
Angad: I love you Mrs. Khanna
Kripa: And there is a definite possibility that I might love you too Mr. Khanna.
