Kripa: I'm so happy to see you!! I missed you so much. But what are you doing here?
Josh: aww! I missed you too so I decided to come and see you but I might have come at the wrong time I can see that a party is going on. Both of them now realize that something is wrong as there is complete silence in the room. They glance up and see that everyone is standing there looking at them questioningly. Angad frowned upon them whereas Aaliya simply stared at Josh dreamily. Kriap's mom came forward and voiced the question in everyone's mind
KM: Kripa beta who is this? Josh bends down and took her ashirwaad. She was taken back by his principles but smiled and blessed him.
Josh: Auntie I happen to be this monkey's friend he says teasingly.
Kripa: what? Who are you calling a monkey you donkey? And hit him on the head. She then chased him around the house till she caught upto him and made him beg for her forgiveness.
Josh: okay! I'm sorry please forgive me and gave her a sweet look.
Kripa: hmm!! I'll have to think about that. Now come on and meet the gang. She dragged him up to Aaliya and introduced the two.
Kripa: Josh this is my best friend in the whole world Aaliya and Aaliya this is my close friend Josh from Toronto. Hes the sweetest guy you'll ever meet and also the biggest flirt.
Josh: oh stop it Kripa. All these compliments are making me blush. He then turned to Aaliya and gave her his irresistible smile. So you are Aaliya. I've heard a lot about you from this monkey here he said pointing at Kripa. Tell me are you the same Aaliya who Kripa tied upto a tree during a game of Indians and forgot all about you?I always wanted to meet you and ask you how you put up with her! I'm sure you must have been very happy when she went away.
Aaliya: no of course not! I really missed her. But I have to admit it was really boring without her, she puts the spice in life
Angad: We all missed her. He extends his hand towards Josh. Angad Khanna

The time passes away quickly and soon everyone starts leaving. Kripa stood at the door to bid her friends and family goodbye. Josh had been invited by her parents to stay over as their guest and he had accepted gladly. Aaliya and Josh had hit it off and she could sense some chemistry between them. She turned around to bid her last guests Angad and his family.
Kripa: thank you so much for joining me. Hope you all had a pleasant time. To Aaliya I'll see you tomorrow.
Angad: It was great seeing you again.
Kripa: likewise. And muttered under her breath, hope I don't have the pleasure of seeing you again. Angad flashed his charming smile to show that he had heard what she had said and moved out without another word. Kripa retired to her room to relive the awful memory of the last time she and Angad had been in the same room.
Flashback
Kripa and Angad had been going out for 2 months and Kripa had already built up many hopes and dreams of getting married to and settling down with Angad. She had a sweet innocence that led her to believe that Angad might one day propose to her and she would be Mrs Angad Khanna. Oh how she longed for that day to come and had visualized 100 different scenarios where Angad proposed to her.
It was the wedding of 2 of her close friends, Simone and Prithvi who had been friends of Angad and Kripas since childhood. The wedding arrangements had been done and Kripa came bounding downt he stairs dressed in a beautiful sea green lengha looking like an angel. She came up to Angad and hugged him from behind.
Kripa: Angad all this is so beautiful. I hope that everything will be just like this when we get married
Angad: WHAT??
Kripa: err.. I mean when we decide to get married. It will be so perfect. I love you so much
Angad: Kripa did I ever give you the slightest bit if indication that I wanted to settle down and get married? Did I ever let you think that I would one day propose to you? No then why in the world would you say something like this?
Kripa is deeply hurt by what Angad said. She runs out of the room Angad made no attempt to follow her rather he head towards the bar for a drink. However all this was witnessed by Aaliya who ran after Kripa to comfort her but Kripa was too distraught. Finally Aaliya managed to calm Kripa down and dragged her along with herself to talk to Angad. They searched the whole house but couldn't find him. Finally they went into the garden and the sight that they witnessed made Kripas heat stop beating. There she saw Angad sharing a passionate kiss with another girl without another thought she went up to him a gave him a resounding slap.
Kripa: How dare you? How dare you play with my emotions? You made me look like a fool. Here I was head over heels in love with you but for you it was all a joke a mere fling. You betrayed me.
Angad: don't you dare accuse me of betrayal. I never promised you marriage or a permanent relationship and now I think its time to end it. I was getting a bit bored of you anyways. Hearing this Kripa turned pale and ran off.
Aaliya then did something she had never thought she would ever do she went upto her brother and gave him a slap.
Aaliya: Bhai! You were my idol I used to worship the very ground you walk on but now I'm ashamed to call you my brother. I never knew that you were so cold and callous. You have hurt my best friend in the cruelest possible way. I hope some day you get to realize what you have done and she ran off with tears of remorse running down her cheeks.
Kripa was shattered. Her life and all her dreams came crashing down leaving her empty. She wanted to escape the painful memories, to hide from all the pain inflicted upon her so without another word she packed up her bags and decided to leave for Toronto. She had enrolled into a course for hotel management but she had decided not to go because of Angad ironic wasn't it that the same person who she had been willing to drop the course for had driven her to accept it. She left a note for Aaliya and caught the very next flight to Canada.
There she had found comfort and solace in her one and only friend Josh who had tried to cheer her up and to him she had confided this miserable tale of her life all her tears and woes. Josh had taken an immediate liking towards Kripa and had hated to see his friend sad. He had been a sympathetic listener, listening to her but not talking and pretty soon the two were inseparable. Many people mistook them to be lovers or sometimes husband and wife but they were infact close friends who knew and shared everything with each other. Aaliya and Josh were the only people who were aware of what had happened between Angad and Kripa.
