Today's was a good game, though I don't hv any favorites. I don't take to any tackle sports well , open field or the ones in ring. They are not easy on the eyes.

Roger Federer was awesome last week. India have been brilliant vs SouthAfrica. They are good on the eyes as there's no combat.

Green Lantern

Teeku was busy trying to put G I Joe, Green Lantern Batman and Inspector Gadget's head back where it belonged as Chandan had mixed them up

"Teekuuu Meeta nudged her

"Subah se khaaya nahi... dal mein itni mirch thi dopahar ko Teeku was hurt

"Mwwah... sorry sorry... cho chweeet, chalo dekh aao aap, phir hamare saath kha lena Meeta blew air kisses

"Kinke saath? Teeku asked standing straight, no longer bending over Chandan

"Khade hain na, vaqeel saheb Meeta cracked herself up

"Seriously Bhabhi? Teeku was not amused

She was not goingt o beg him to show her the house she thought.

"Do kamre tayyar ho rahe hain, aapke liye, aap chun lena aapko jo pasand ho, lehenga bachaake haan? Alka held her cheeks and instructed

"Umm... Chandan ka room kidhar hai?

"Umm.. kaise samjhaaye aapko... ghar bahut purana hai, square nahi hai, har bada room actually 3 room suite hai, bade room se do room nikalte hain, Chandan unme se ek room mein hain, Ma Babuji ke kamre ke saath

"Aapne sirf neeche dekha hai na? Alka smiled

Avantika was amazed by the description

He had his back to Avantika

"Le jaayen! Alka ordered

"Where? he asked

"GHAR DIKHAYEN Alka laughed amused

"Jaayen Alka nudged Avantika

"Chandan ko le jaayen hum? she asked

"Nahi le jaayen... bilqul nahi... Alka said sternly

"Chandu... maasi house dekhne ja rahin hain she bend down to tell him

"Will u sleep here tonight? he asked wiping his runny nose

"Umm... no... umm.. I don't know she lied

"Maasi I want to come

"Chandu... aapke liye Garima kuch laayin hai Alka yanked Chandan's grip from Avantika's wrist

"Maasiii he began to scream and weep

Harit turned around to check if she was following him

"Chandan is crying she whimpered

He looked on blandly

"Umm she meant do something about it

But Alka had by now smothered him with a toy or a sweet, his scream was a muffled moan now

Avantika caught up to him

He didn't say a word

The house was like a homage to its colonial ancestors high ceiling, cross beams, every room with tall rectangular windows with an arch on top. The floors looked like a red slate. The furniture similar to downstairs. A mix of different styles placed along the wall in every room.

The house smelled like marigold and incense to her, a couple of help froze and gawked and folded hands in namaste

"Not sure what you want to see he said after the first couple rooms

"Chandu's? she said tentatively

His lips twitched in a mocking acknowledgement

"If its far its OK she said

He walked across the long circular hallway with giant white pillars.

He extended an arm to make her lead the way

She wandered as if she knew, until he paused and called her name

"Avantika he said and pointed to the room on the right

It had a giant four poster bed in the center in cherry or walnut wood with mosquito nets and tall cherry cupboards lined one wall, and lots of family pictures and pictures of baby Krishna adorned the walls

He walked inside confidently and into another room, it was the best kids room she had ever seen

Like an ad for a toy store floor to ceiling

The bed was a bunk kind.

"He sleeps by himself? she asked shocked

"Can u tell from the bed? he asked

It hadn't been touched

She lowered her gaze

"He sleeps in your room? she asked eagerly

"No he said firmly

She didn't ask to see his room

He didn't offer

They walked out

"Did u want to ask me anything? she asked fidgety with her lehenga

"Do you have a boyfriend? 😳he asked coolly, looking at the Green Lantern Batman

She turned bright red, that unfamiliar flutter that was trapped in her chest had turned into a thud now

She looked at him in shock

"Umm... NOOO!! she said breathlessly outraged, her tone a "is that even seriously a first question?

"Hmm!" he nodded

They lingered for a second. She was too lost in the motive behind his question to ask any of her own so they walked down and joined the family.😆

She's awkward and nervous around him but chalo at least she tried. But his first question ?? What a bummer for her. Looks like he's still carrying his black coat with him. Prying without giving away too much of his motive. Once an attorney always an attorney.

It's all going to sink in for her when she gets bk home. There's a lot happening and it's going to hit her when the din is down. Her plea to Harit to do something about Chandan crying was kinda cute. The man's asking am I even there in this equation. Hmmm !!! Long winding road ahead before they hit the destination. 😊

There was quite a lot in the update left to read and interpret. Lovely description of the House that's undergoing renovations to be more accommodative , one that is seeped in traditions , the red slate floors, arched windows ,the architecture all adding to its grandeur.

But think think what lies ahead...If every big room is a set of three branching to two comparatively small rooms,then chandan's room is within that arrangement of the senior Vaidyas Master bedroom. How is Avantika going to be subtle about her presence in chandan's room after her wedding.,Ab her unka' toh very firmly has communicated that " no he doesn't sleep in my room making it very clear as to what lies ahead for her 😳

I think Harit is warming up to this wedding now .He did start off by telling his parents that they better not expect him to be like how his bhaiyyas are with their wives , but I do get a feeling that though he is not very expressive, he does want it to be a decent one with Avantika. His parents, his brothers and his bhabhis are constantly ribbing him and it's making him think about his to be wife .

He stares at the Green Lantern toy of Chandu's still clutched in her hand and her lack of interest in him. He is wondering if there's anything else he should be aware of, if there is anyone else in the picture other than chandoo. Even when Himani Gupta's padded up for her daughter to counter Bani's foot in the mouth saying Avantika's not just missing Chandan only, One got the feeling that it's what he wanted to hear.

Chandu is his nephew too but Harit is perfectly right in his place . Which man would want to be just a furniture in this whole equation ? Harit is going make sure that he's not. Hmmm...It's all looking interestingly placed for Teeku. 😊

Thanks to the brilliant storytelling, we start believing that we're actually living those moments. It's such an immersive experience Nisha. I can feel every thud of Teeku's heart. Harit is another R&B. It's too soon to judge him. I'm sure there are layers to his character that are yet to be lifted. His brother's sudden death for instance. No one knows how it impacted him. What emotions does he feel when he looks at Chandu? Why did he decide to settle in Bareily; having travelled/studied in the UK, he must have a different view of life from his parents.
