Major Chandra: You are right Raj. There was a woman in Naveen's life when he was arrested. And it could crtainly be Ritu. There's only one way to find out. You have mentioned that she's tried hitting on you many times. Reciprocate and convince her that you love her.
Raj: I really don't feel comfortable doing that.
Chandra: Raj. She isn't an innocent woman.If anything she's a dangerous spy.
Raj reluctantly agreed and within a few days his relation with Ritu had thawed. He hated acting to be in love with her. He hated being nice to the woman who had hurt Naina so many times.
Ritu called Raj over for drinks. They were sitting and drinking wine when suddenly there was a knock on the door. Ritu opened it.
Ritu: Oh come inside! I am so glad you came.
Raj was shocked to see Naina walk inside. Naina was equally shocked and a bit upset.
Ritu: How did you like my surprise guys? Naina come sit down. What can I get you? Raj and I are having our favorite Red Wine. Oh how stupid of me. I forgot you can't drink in this condition.
Naina: That's ok. Water will do!
Ritu: So how many weeks more?
Naina: Six or Seven
Ritu: And what's tha plan after? I heard you cleared your bar exam. Congratulations.
Naina: I won't practice till the baby is at least 6 months old.
Ritu: I mean you could afford to not practice for years. Getting 50 lakhs from your ex-husband helps doesn't it. So what's your relation with him? He is the baby's father. How involved is he?
Raj: raghav isn't involved. Not one bit. And he never will/
Ritu: Naina I am sorry if I hurt you. In fact I have been mean to you in the past as well. I am sorry. I was jealous. I felt that you were stealing Raj from me. But since he told me that he loves me, i realize how stupid I was.
Naina turned white.
Raj: RITU!
Ritu: Come on Raj. Naina's your best friend. She should be the first to know.
Naina: Congratulations ritu! Congratulations captain rajveer! I am sorry but I need to leave. I am not feeling too well.
Raj: Are you ok? I am coming with you.
Naina: NO. STAY HERE WITH RITU.
Ritu: Raj! Go... Naina needs support and help. Plus you have already been spending too many nights I mean time here.
Naina rushed ahead paying no heed to Rajveer's shouts. She had almost reached the house when she tripped. She was headed for a nasty fall when Raj steadied her.
He then scooped her in his arms and carried her inside.
Naina: Leave me Raj. If your girlfriend sees us like this she'll go crazy. Probably call me a s**t and wh**e again.
Raj: Naina. listen to me, Ritu has made mistakes but she's a nice perosn.
Naina: Really Raj. What did she ask me today? What is Raghav's role in my baby's life? What is my rapists role in my life.
Raj: Naina...
Naina: Why Raj why? How long has this been going on? Weere you in love with her when you proposed to me
Raj (hesitating) YES:
Naina broke down crying.
Naina: I shouldn't have trusted you so much. Made you so important in my life.
She ran inside her room and slammed the door shut.
A few minutes later she came out with packed bags.
NainaL I am leaving. Dont come after me unless you want to see my dead face.
Naina walked away and Raj stood there helpless with tears in his eyes.
Raj was called to the Delhi HQ a few hours later. He kept calling Naina but she didn't pick up.
A week later he reached KMA and bumped into Shalini
Shalini: You and Ritu?
Raj: How do you know?
Shalini: Ritu has told the entire campus.
Raj: Shal I...
Shalini: I am really not interested. Raj I know things have been rough with Naina for the past week but can you please talk to her? She had an appointment three days back. She didn't come and hasn't been responding to my calls or messages.
Raj: But Shalini, she lives in your house... Oh no! Damn it. I always assumed she went to your house after she left my home.
Shalini: I asked her to. But she refused. She's staying at her old house - where her Baba used to stay.
Raj: But that's crazy! She's almost 8 months pregnant. She shouldn't be living alone.
NAINA'S house
Raj knocked but no one responded. He got in with the spare key. He realized Naina wasn't at home. He began packing Naina's things.
Naina walked in.
Naina: Raj, how on earth did you get in? And why are you packing my things?
Raj: You won't live alone. You'll live at Shalini's place. And what's this nonsense of not showing up for appointments. Think of yourself and your baby!
Naina jerked away Raj's hand!
Naina: That's none of your businuess.
Raj: Your anger is with me. Don't take it out on yourself.
Naina: Leave! You don't have a right to interfere in my life. My baby. My body. My life.
And you are a nobody. A nobody in my life.
Raj: I am nobody in your life? I thought I was your best friend? AND this baby? I love it as much as you do.
Naina: You should have thought about this before dating her.
Now please leave.
After Raj left Naina sat on the sofa crying for several minutes.
Naina (to the baby): It's only us. We are all alone.
The weeks passed. Raj started getting more and more relevant information from Ritu. The only downside was the she wanted them to get engaged. To avoid suspicion he head to reluctantly agree.
Raj and Ritu were out shopping when they bumped into Naina. Raj hadn't seen her in weeks and his heart jimped with joy on seeing her. She looked great. Her face had a strong glow and she wore a soft white dress. She was almost at term, ready to deliver any time.
Ritu: Naina, wow! Why are you here in this condition.
Naina: Some basic errands,
Ritu: I am glad we ran into you. We wanted to share some great news with you.
Raj and I are getting engaged.
