Part 21

Two weeks relaxation came to an end...

Roli online classes started for final exams...

Roli was thinking... Oh God... i was not even able to get closer to him...

Before that these classes got closer to me...

How many times i tried to express my wish to Siddhant...

But where that tube light understand...

Atleast i was able to go to temple or cook for for him these days...

But now.. i am not going to find time for anything...

Siddhant saw Roli lost on the thoughts...

Siddhant; Roli... concentrate and study well...

Roli; yes i am doing...

She replied and diverted towards the book...

When Siddhant noticed she is gazing at him...

Siddhant; Roli.. i got some work.. you continue to study...

Siddhant goes out leaving her alone...

One day...

When Roli was studying sitting in the sofa...

Siddhant was sitting beside her leaving some place looking at his laptop...

It was early morning time & outside was dark...

Suddenly light went off...

Roli; Siddhant...

Roli who got scared lean on his shoulder and hold his hand tightly...

Siddhant; Roli.. relax.. i am here right...

He console her...

Roli tighten her grip on his hand and closed her eyes to feel the closeness...

Siddhant; ROli.. let me bring candle...

He took her hand from him and went from there...

He came back with the candle...

Siddhant; Now there is nothing to fear... just wait for a while.. light will come.. or anyway.. after sunrise.. you will get sunlight..

Roli: As if i dont know...

She murmured expressing her helplessness...

Siddhant smiled...

One day..

Siddhant was asking her questions...

Roli who was replying suddenly stopped and started gazing at Siddhant...

Siddhant who lift his face as she stopped replying noticed her...

Siddhant; Roli...

Roli; Hmm...

Siddhant: What happened... did you forgot the answer... then how you will attend the exam...

Roli: no Siddhant.. i know the answer...

Siddhant; then why you were struck without replying.. Roli you remember you are going to right civil service exam...

Roli: I know Siddhant...

Siddhant; When you know.. you should be more cautious Roli..

Roli: Ok Ok.. let me tell you...

Roli continued replying him...

Siddhant with corner of his eyes looked at Roli and continued hearing her answer...

Part 22

Roli finished her classes...

Then came out for lunch.. While Siddhant didn't came for lunch...

Roli; Maaji.. He didn't came for lunch...

Yes.. this is the way of talk of Roli now a days...

Sujatha; Siddhant told he is doubtful to come for lunch.. as he got some work...

Roli; Then what he will do for lunch...

Sujatha; Dont know.. at times he do like this.. but not sure what he do for lunch...

Roli: How he can stay without having lunch.. shall i take lunch for him...

Sujatha: Sure Roli.. if you want to take lunch.. then you do it...

Roli took lunch in a box and started from house...

While starting.. she took a shorts & tshirt too...

Roli went to field in search of Siddhant...

Siddhant was surprised seeing Roli there...

He rushed towards her...

Siddhant; Roli.. you didn't study today.. you have come to field...

Roli: Siddhant... i completed studies.. you know i am doing that only daily.. for a change only came here...

Siddhant; But Roli.. what is the need...

Roli; Siddhant.. please...i bring food for you.. come lets have lunch..

Siddhant; I will have.. keep the bag there & go... i will have later...

Roli: But Siddhant.. i wish to have with you...

Siddhant; You mean.. you too didn't have yet...

ROli; Yes.. i didn't...

Siddhant; But i am dirty.. i need to take bath...

Roli; Ok... i will wait.. you take bath & come...

Siddhant; Ok.. wait.. i will come quick.. then you can have food and go back to study...

Roli: ok...

Siddhant was about to go...

ROli; Siddhant...

Siddhant; Hmm...

Roli... shall i take bath in the pond...

Siddhant turned towards Roli...

Siddhant; Roli.. what are you talking???

ROli; What different i told.. i just want to take bath in the pond...

Siddhant; But you know swimming...

Roli; Yes i know.. i used to go to swimming pools...

Siddhant; But Swimming pool is different from pond.. here depth will be more...

ROli; So what.. anyway.. we are going to swim in the top only right... dont worry...

Siddhant; Still Roli..

Roli;Siddhant.. anyway.. you are there right.. to take care of me...

Siddhant; Roli.. i got changing dress here.. but what you will wear...

ROli; I bring shorts & tshirt to wear while taking bath... then i will change again to this dress...

Siddhant; It seems you came prepared...

Roli; Please...

Siddhant; OK.. change your dress and come...

Roli went inside the room and came back wearing shorts & tshirt...

Siddhant swiftly looked around and checked whether no one is there...

Still gave the towel to wrap on her...

Roli with a smile wrap on her his towel...

Siddhant; Come quick...

Roli & Siddhant went to pond...

Siddhant removed his shirt and jumped into the pond...

While Roli dropped the towel and jumped into the pond...

Roli & Siddhant started swimming in the pond...

Still.. Siddhant was going away from Roli...

While Roli was trying to come closer to Siddhant...

Siddhant did noticed that and tried to go as far as possible...

Roli got upset... She think for a while...

Roli shouted...

Roli; Ooch.. Siddhant...

Siddhant who went far rushed towards Roli...

Siddhant; Roli.. are you ok.. what happened...

When he was asking her tensed.. Roli gave a mischief smile...

Siddhant understood.. she fake and fool him...

Siddhant; Roli..what is this..you know how much i was scared when you shouted...

Roli; When you have that much concern.. then why you went that far from me...

She ask leaning on his hand... and holding his hand...

Siddhant; Roli.. lets go to have lunch.. i got work...

He removed her hand from his hand and went out of the pond...

Roli: I really cant understand this man...

Roli too came out of the pond and wrapped the towel like she did while coming...

Then went to the room...

Siddhant; You first change and come.. i will change next...

Roli changed her dress & came while Siddhant went next to change...

When he return.. Roli was waiting with the lunch...

He sat to have lunch while Roli sat beside him much closer...

Siddhant took his food and got up from there...

He started having food standing there without giving change for Roli to sit beside him...

Roli had food with upset face... which was noticed by Siddhant...

Still Siddhant remain as unnoticed and completed the lunch...

Siddhant; Roli.. go back to home...

Roli; Siddhant.. why you are telling as if getting rid of me...

Siddhant; Nothing like that Roli.. i got work right.. thats why..

Roli: Ok.. i understood you got work... bye...

Roli got tears and moved from there towards their house...

While Siddhant was standing looking on the way she was going...

Part 23

Roli was feeling very bad...

All her tries to get closer to him went in vain...

She was unable to understand.. why he maintain distance with her...

Earlier he used to her tell.. its for her wish he wont come to her...

But now.. When Roli was trying hard to go to him... Its Siddhant who is avoiding her...

He always insisted her to concentrate on the studies...

She wont tell its wrong..

Of course he is telling for her exams only...

But can she study all the 24 hours forgetting everything.. specially forgetting Siddhant...

Is it even possible after the longing inside her heart...

But now she is used to it...

She realized he is not interested in Roli getting closer...

She stopped her tries...

Now she started concentrating fully on her studies...

Atleast she can succeed on her ambition when he is least interested on her...

Though she stopped her tries... what she can do with the longing heart towards him...

Roli took it as her aim...

She diverted all her energy towards studies...

Now their relationship itself has become just very formal...

Like biz meeting... with a formal greeting... formal gestures...

Roli was fed up with everything...

No. she is not going to get weak thinking about something which she is not getting...

Instead her studies is there in front of her...

Roli got ready for the exams...

Like Preliminary exams.. The final exam was in the city as well...

Siddhant booked the rooms and took Roli the previous night of the exams...

Roli remembered receptionist asking them whether they want decoration...

Roli looked at Siddhant...

Siddhant didn't express anything and started walking towards the room...

When entering into the room... Roli noticed he took care that its two separate single bed unlike double bed like previous time...

She kept her bag herself in the wardrobe and lay down in the bed turning side against him...

Siddhant; Roli... lets have dinner...

Roli; No.. i am not feeling hungry.. you have...

Siddhant; But you have exam tomorrow...

Roli; I know that very well.. i can handle it...

She replied without even turning towards him...

But in a while Siddhant switch off the light and lay down on the bed...

It showed he too didn't went to have dinner...

Roli was thinking.. why you too skipping dinner.. for what...

I didn't had as i got no interest.. but why you are staying hungry...

I know you cant stay hungry...

Roli got up from the bed and switch on light...

Roli; Lets have dinner.. no need to stay hungry...

Siddhant with a smile went to have dinner with Roli...

Exams were all given...

Roli & Siddhant return to their village...

Still the same continued...

Sujatha did noticed the dullness on Roli..

Earlier she was thinking.. its because of stress of the studies...

But now she even finished her exams...

And finally she asked that to Siddhant...

Sujatha; Siddhant.. why Roli is so dull...

Siddhant; Nothing like that maaji...

Sujatha; NO Siddhant... all these days.. i thought as she is studying.. now even after exams.. why she is like that.. is it because.. she didn't wrote exams properly...

Siddhant; No maaji.. she wrote exams very well...

Sujatha: Then what is the problem...

Siddhant; Nothing.. just leave it.. everything will get alright...

Sujatha; Whatever... take care of her.. she is your responsibility...

Siddhant; Yes maaji...

Days were passing...

Finally the much awaited result has come...

Yes... Roli pass in the IAS exam...

Siddhant came home with the sweet box...

Siddhant took the sweet and tried to feed Roli...

While Roli didn't open her mouth...

Then he dropped the sweet and forward the box...

Roli: This is for what...

Siddhant; This is for my wife got passed in the IAS Exam...

Roli; Oh ok...

Yes.. this was her expression for the success on her aim.. ambition...

Sujatha; Roli.. you have achieved something great.. while just telling 'Oh ok...'

Roli; As i learn from someone that only that much should be expressed...

That is when Roli parents entered into the house...

Meena; COngrats Roli...

She rushed towards Roli & hug her...

But she cant find any happiness from Roli...

Jamanlal: Siddhant beta.. you know she was not believing that she can do this after marriage & you made it to happen..

Siddhant; I didn't do anything.. Its all her hardwork...

Meena; Now she need to go on training for 2 years right...

Roli didn't even wish to sit there...

Roli got up and went inside her room...

Jamanlal & Meena looked at Siddhant surprised...

Jamanlal: Siddhant beta.. what happened... why is ROli like this... THis was her ambition and she achieved it.. then why such happiness missing on her face...

Meena: Thats what i am wondering.. leaving that.. she was not even interested to see or talk to me... her own mother...

Sujatha; I was also asking Siddhant about her dullness only.. I really cant understand..

Siddhant went near their room and locked it outside...

Then Siddhant talk with all elders for a while...

All were shocked...

Siddhant; Hope you all understand now... SO let it go on the way it is going...

All agreed...

Siddhant opened the lock and looked into the room while Roli was on the bed with a dry look...

Siddhant looked at Meena...

Siddhant; You go and talk to her in general.. she may feel better...

Meena went inside and sat beside Roli...

Meena; Roli...

Roli lay down on her lap shedding tears...

All the suppressed expressions came out as tears on her mother lap...

Meena caress her hair and tried to console her...

Siddhant who saw it slightly opening the door felt bad...

Siddhant too got tears...

Part 25

Roli packed her bag...

Its not for one or two day trip...

its for lengthy two years...

Tears were already accumulated on her eyes waiting for the time to scroll down her cheeks...

She packed all the jeans & tshirts...

She remembered Siddhant allowing her to wear Jeans & Tshirt all these days...

She packed her laptop...

She remembered Siddhant buying laptop for her and sent as parcel hiding that he only sent it...

Not only laptop.. infact the course which she attend.. exams she gave... result she got...

Whatever she is today is all because of him...

But still she is in tears...

Tears started scrolling from her eyes...

Why not... when after doing all these... he failed to accept her..

When Roli thought this IAS as her life ambition.. she even deny to marry...

Now she achieved that ambition... while still it was not giving happiness against the pain she was getting when her own husband didn't accept her...

Roli got ready...

Siddhant entered into the room...

Siddhant; Roli.. are you ready.. shall we start...

Roli nod her head as acceptance...

Siddhant noticed the tears...

He came near her...

Siddhant; Roli.. what is this... you are going to become IPS Officer while tears on your eyes...

Roli; Siddhant.. even after becoming IPS officer.. i only got the same heart which i was having all these days...

Siddhant; Roli...

Roli; Siddhant.. just look at me & tell me once why you avoid me...

Siddhant; What are you talking Roli.. when i avoid you.. we have been together only all these days.. infact i only took you for exam...

Roli: Siddhant.. dont pretend as if innocent... you know what i mean...

Siddhant; ROli.. we are getting late.. lets start...

Roli; Of course... i am starting... i wont disturb you for at least 2 years...

Siddhant; Roli.. when i said you as disturbance...

Roli; THen what else Siddhant... Now there is no need for you to sleep in the sofa instead of bed... there is no need for you to run to work avoiding me... there is no need for you to eat food prepared by me.. there is no need for you to take me anywhere... there is no need for you to bear me coming to field to see you...

Roli said with tears...

Siddhant; Roli.. what all these...

He tried to wipe her tears...

Roli: No Siddhant.. i will handle myself... i need to.. who is going to be there for me in next 2 years...

Roli wipe her tears herself...

Roli; Shall we go...

Siddhant nod his head as acceptance...

They took couple of steps while Roli stopped...

Roli; Siddhant...

Siddhant turned towards her...

Siddhant; Yes Roli...

ROli: Can you give me 2 minutes time please... as a wife...

Siddhant; Roli..

Roli; Please...

Siddhant nod his head as acceptance...

Roli swiftly lean on his shoulder & hug tightly...

She was shedding tears on his shoulders...

Its almost 2 minutes now...

ROli lift her face & looked at Siddhant...

She went near his face & kissed on his cheeks...

Then swiftly moved away from him and took her bag...

Roli; Lets go...

Roli came out of the room...

She took blessings of elders...

Roli & Siddhant started from Village towards the Training place...

All the way.. Roli didn't talk to Siddhant...

She drink some water & make up her mind...

Siddhant who noticed all her expressions was thinking.. I am sorry Roli...
