Shruthi, one eager move from Sree would have given an opportunity to the opposition gang the reason to defame the family in a Golden plotter. I knew someone would have witnessed the scene and luckily it was Pooja. That slap was a concern Sudhir has for his sister Suman. No amount of justification will get back her dignity if once it gets into the mouth of rotten minds. Even if the family willinglyget them married, the scar will remain and that was the precise reason, Sudhir had been so cautious.

Yes Jaya. if Sudhir supports them then as an elder he also has the right to correct them wherever necessary. It is his love for them, his parents as well as the family.

Chapter 230- The Search, The Orders

Maheswari entered Sreedhar's room. She was alone in the house. Servants were busy in their work as she has ensured all of them are given enough work so that they don't poke their nose into what she is doing. She knew couple of them had good rapport with Sreedhar and might tell him they saw her searching his room.

She looked around checking where to start. She decided to start from his table drawers. She started rummaging through the drawer contents. But she couldn't get anything. Then she searched under his bed, in two suitcases beneath the bed. It had all his college texts, notes and nothing much of importance.

Then she turned to his cupboards. She pulled down his entire wardrobe. Kurtas, formal shirts everything lay scattered. She opened the files only to find certificates, and other important documents. She searched among the clothes and didn't find anything out of ordinary. Again notes, sheets of paper, even albums where she found his college photos with Gautham, Kailash and many other batch mates. But no single photo of Suman or any other photo that linked him to her.

" Sreedhar you are too smart beta. I am very much sure there are photos of both of you. There might be letters you both have exchanged. But where have you kept all of them. " Then she looked up. She knew couple of suitcases, mattresses etc were in overhead cup boards in his room. But then she couldn't take those things alone. She will have to call someone which she didn't wanted. She knew whatever she wants is most probably out there.

She was disappointed and decided to put everything back in its place. It was then her eyes fell on a small box on the far corner in the cup board. Maheswari took that box out. Her eyes sparkled as she saw what was in that box. It was a beautiful pearl necklace with matching earrings and a watch with delicate pearl strap. The title on the box read " Evara Collection New York".

Seeing the box one thing became clear for Maheswari. Sreedhar has not known Murali was marrying Suman. Else he wouldn't have bought such a gift for her as it was very evident that gift was exclusively for the woman Sreedhar had loved. Whatever he had bought for his bhabi he had distributed it among Vindhya and Renu. He didn't give this to anyone meant he believed he will be able to marry his love. He had not gifted her this till date shows that he is waiting to give it to her when their union is blessed by elders. Maheswari was in a way feeling happy. Her son had intentions to speak the truth, he was only waiting for the right time.

Now she had to know what happened with Suman. She knew she will have to wait for the right moment to poke that question to Suman without arousing the girl's suspicion on why she is asking that question. She put everything back in its place and came out of the room. She needed to do packing for going to Jodhpur.

That day evening all packing was done and Maheswari, Renu and Sreedhar along with kids were going for Raji's marriage. Rajasekhar and Tilak had told that they will join a day before the wedding. Maheswari was giving orders to Vindhya and Suman on how to manage the home in her absence. What all needs to be done. How to handle servants as both of them will go to shop in the morning.

Finally when everything was done Maheswari stepped out. Suman was looking in Sreedhar's direction to see whether he will turn back. She knew he wont. He had given her a letter telling about what Pooja didi saw and Sudhir Bhaiyya's anger. Her heart felt heavy and tears stood in the brim of her eyes as the car moved out the drive way. She quickly handled herself afterall Sudhir Bhaiyya had told it for their own good only. She shouldn't feel sad and walked toward the kitchen to help Vindhya Bhabi prepare dinner. Besides gas stove an envelope was kept.

" Take it Suman, someone has left that for you" told Vindhya looking at her with a twinkle in her eyes and seeing her open the envelope turned away from her concentrating on her task.

Inside the envelope Suman saw a quickly drawn caricature showing a good bye with a note written below " Will be back soon, Take care. Love Sreedhar" and a wink. She laughed as she shred the note and lighted the gas stove.

Nice update...aww sreedhar bought pearl necklace for suman..the room check assured maheshwari that sree didn't want to cheat them...waiting for next update...
