Chapter 223- The Below Belt Attack

The Campaign was going neck to neck. Ankush could attract the youth and also many old people also start believing in his ideas. His speeches were well delivered and it was always jam packed.

Aravind Setia's campaign was nothing less. It attracted the traditional crowd as the pitch of the campaign was traditions will be lost if Ankush win. His setting up a committee was an indication that the rules of the traditions will no longer be respected.

But the set back for Setia was that the liquor and cash he had wanted to distribute among people was confiscated. He was not sure how each and every source was getting tracked down. They discussed involvement of third party who was specifically targeting them. But then they couldn't pin point who it was. They couldn't plan for any abduction as his party chief clearly told Setia if any image issue is coming for him, he will be expelled from the party and they will request Election Commission to allow them have another candidate on disciplinary ground.

It was the last day of the campaign and that day evening all the campaign had to be closed. Suman just casually glanced through the window of the shop. She was taking a short break post lunch with Vindhya and Renu discussing about elections and chance of Ankush winning. Since couple of customers came Vindhya became busy. Some people were putting posters on the wall in front of the street. Suman was just about to turn away and go inside when she saw what was written in those posters. She stood horror stuck. It cannot be. But then she saw the posters all around.

The poster had the photo of Sudhir then a title " Fake Hero ". She read below " He wanted a son, so he chose his wife and not the child when the choice was given.

His mother sent him to Gurgaon because he wouldn't accept his daughter.

He wants to marry again if only Maheswariji allows".

Perspiration started flowing from Suman's forehead. It meant the posters will be across the length and breadth of the city . Sudhir Jethji's image, the family's prestige and the whole election was at risk. Because Ankush had banked a lot on their family's reputation for the campaign. She needed to act fast. Thankfully the customers completed the purchase and walked out. Suman was thankful they were not someone who knew the family, else the question would have come.

She slowly nudged Vindhya and asked her to look outside . The moment Vindhya read it she started crying.

" Suman Nami will see, she wont be able to tolerate it. Someone in school will question her. Sudhir will collapse" . Hearing Vindhya's wail Renu looked out and was shocked to see the posters.

" Bhabi don't cry. Just listen to me. We need to do this at the earliest. You go to school and get Nami. Bring her home at the earliest. Renu Bhabi if anyone ask you anything about the posters tell you doesn't want to discuss about it. Dadiji repeat the same. Renu Bhabi you please call Maa and tell everything and tell her also not to speak anything to anyone."

Then she dialed their main office and asked for Sreedhar. She hoped everyone to be in the main office. She needed all of them.

As soon as Sreedhar came on line she asked " Sreedhar is everyone in office"

" Yes Sumi, why what is the issue." asked Sreedhar.

" Sreedhar I do not have time to explain. Please ensure everyone is in your room. I am coming there now "

" Coming , how, I will send the car from here or call car from home" told Sreedhar.

" No time for that Sreedhar, I am coming by taxi. Just trust me, it is very urgent"

Before Sreedhar could tell something back he heard click on the other side. He was sure his father wont like Suman coming by taxi. But she wouldn't do it unless it is very urgent. But what happened. He anyways decided to call everyone to his room.

" Suman Papa wont like if you take taxi" told Renu as Suman stepped out of the shop.

" Bhabi we do not have time to waste. I will apologize to Papa" told Suman as she ran out and called a taxi.

Sudhir looked at Sreedhar as they could feel Rajasekhar's simmering anger hearing Suman was coming by taxi. Sreedhar nodded his head not knowing what to say. Just then Suman came in. She looked tensed and was perspiring. Before Rajasekhar could ask anything Suman told

" Papa I am very sorry. I dint had any other option but to come here fast" then she told what was happening outside. What kind of posters were being put up. Sudhir sank heavily in the chair.

" Jethji please don't panic, I have thought about everything. How we need to deal with this. Will you all please listen to me" asked Suman.

" Suman tell if you have planned something" told Tilak as Rajasekhar was shocked to speak anything.

" Tilak Jethji you and Papa will not answer any question that is coming your way. Say that we will respond as a family by 8pm. Sreedhar you go get Vaishnav from school and then both of you please bring Goraji, his wife and child at the earliest to our home. Sudhir Jethji we will go home. You need to speak to Nami" told Suman.

" Suman what will I speak to Nami. How will I make her understand what was that condition. It had nothing to do with not wanting her" told Sudhir

" Jethji I will tell you what you need to tell Nami and allow Nami to speak to the world " told Suman. Then she told in brief what Sudhir should speak to Nami. Rajasekhar was impressed at the way Suman was handling such a sensitive issue. She was really thinking on feet.

Once she finished Suman looked at everyone and then told " Come Jethji, no time to lose"

" Go Sudhir, she has really done a good job to think all this through. Now we all should help her" told Rajasekhar smiling at Suman.

" Thank you Papa for trusting me " told Suman as she walked outside with Sudhir, while Sreedhar ran outside to go to the tribal village.

"Setia have you called all media houses. Is the news going rounds" asked Mahantji.

" Yes Mahantji, Sudhir Varma's and the Varma family's image has gone for a toss. Sudhir's own daughter will question her father. It will be a miracle if he doesn't do suicide " told Setia laughing menacingly.

" Yes Setia this will be Varma's end" told Rupinder as he gulped down a glass of whiskey.

@Rakhee that part is known to many people, or you can say people guessed it. There is no harm in using half knowledge right if that can serve your purpose. They hit on the heels of Sudhir Varma who has averted every disaster for the family. Their expectation if he is hit, no one will be there to defend the Varma's

Shruthi Yup, true...but Again its wrong assumption by Mohant n Co...underestimating the family...

Huh this is the thing mahantji thought on seeing Sree and Suman together? How did he deduce this? And how did Suman get such a solution? I'm liking Suman's idea
