Chapter 205- Rakhi Preparations

" Sreedhar give five Rakhis to me. I need to send to my brother's" told Vindhya. Preparations were happening for Rakhi which was four days down the lane.

" Sumanji how many for you" asked Sreedhar holding a set of Rakhi's. Renuka went to her maayka on Rakhi day as it was near Jaipur.

" Give me nine Sreedhar " told Suman.

" Nine. Why nine Suman. As far as I know you have only Seven brothers" came in Maheswari.

" That Maa two are from my college. When I had gone to Ria didi's place met them and they told I shouldn't be missing sending Rakhi to them this year" told Suman.

" Suman someone allowed you to tie Rakhi for them in college" teased Tilak.

" Why what is the problem Tilak. Any boy can make a girl sister." told Maheswari.

" Maa you don't understand college. That Rakhi thread is the one that a guy fears the most. These girls run around with couple of them. If they feel anyone is troubling them and they are not interested, well tie the Rakhi and break the guy's heart " told Tilak.

" Serves you well. Why go behind and trouble a girl. Cant you understand whether a girl is interested in you or not. " told Maheswari.

" Suman is that the way you got two brothers. They troubled you in college" asked Maheswari.

Suman didn't know what to tell. Yes Kailash and Gautham were the reason she ended up with Sreedhar for the Jodi dance. They were responsible for her uncomfortable situation, but they were also the reason she got the most precious thing in her life. Sreedhar's love.

" Maa in a way yes. They did put me into trouble. But then apologized. I didn't wanted to leave them. So I tied Rakhi for them so that I can trouble them now and then" told Suman.

" See I told right. Rakhi is the punishment a girl gives for troubling her" told Tilak.

Sreedhar felt if the conversation continued it will be a problem. So he said " Maa it is not just the problem of girls giving punishment to boys. Sometimes boys too can ask girls to tie Rakhi if he feels they are troubling him too much"

" I guess my devarji have done that. When I visited college I could very well see it. Girls were keeping Karvachauth ka vrat for him" teased Vindhya.

" How many girls heart you have broken Sreedhar" asked Tilak.

"I didn't ask them to come behind me Bhaiyya and you are telling I broke their heart " told Sreedhar.

" Bhaiyya he has admitted he has broken hearts" told Sudhir teasing Sreedhar. Just then phone rang and Renu went and picked it.

" Why not Rakhi. Is it a question to be asked. Come home and stay here couple of days" told Renu and kept the phone.

" Maa Rakhee is coming here . She says she wants to tie Rakhi personally for her brothers. Since she cannot go to Bombay or Arunachal she wants to spend this year's Rakhi here. She has college break for couple of days" told Renu.

" That's good. So this time you three will also have someone tying Rakhi for you. Get the gifts ready " told Maheswari as she went to kitchen, while Vindhya and Suman put Rakhi's in the cover and began to write addresses.

As Suman gave the envelopes in the hand of Sreedhar to post, she saw his face was concerned and he placed a small paper in her hand stealthily.

When Suman went to her room to freshen up she opened the chit and read.

" I am worried. I feel Rakhee has known the truth about us. I hope she takes it in the right spirit" said the chit.

Suman shred the paper. Rakhi had not gone to AR college. She and Sreedhar had ensured that and had sent her to ABS College which was good in commerce. Then how can Rakhi know something. But then as he said Rakhi coming suddenly somehow she too felt something was amiss. She knew whatever it was, they will have to deal with it, told Suman to herself as she splashed cold water over her body.

Rakhi is Sreedhar's cousin sister, the girl in jodhpur who took care of Suman when she was in hospital.
