Wow Jaya that was a nice way to describe the essence of the gajra giving part.. in movies we see the guys giving their better half gajra but have never seen mils giving their dils gajra.. was this part of ur marriage ritual?

Chapter 156- The Interiors, The Tantrum

Suman and Poornima were in the shop. Final touches to the interiors were happening. The person in charge had told that the interiors will be done in couple of days. Suman and Poornima were supervising it, telling suggestions wherever required.

She told the designer where to keep the blown up pictures when it comes, as she had told let the pictures be directly delivered to the designer. Poornima admired the partition which was done in glass elegantly. The person coming to give saree for doing work can see the sarees, salwars and duppattas already done displayed on the other side through the glass.

Suman looked through the shop .3 racks were kept with Spring as the theme as the design on the racks was in connection with Spring, while the furniture design was in line with summer season a mix of gold and orange. The contrast gave a beautiful vibe to the visitor. Designing area had winter as the theme with hues of blue and white dominating that space with the glass partition having autumn with falling leaves as its borders.

Though it was one shop the image of the designing area where people can bring their sarees to do the work and the shop where already finished products were displayed were distinct in their own ways.

Sreedhar opened the door " Ladies is your work done. Can we go " his eyes looking at the almost completed work

" Yes Sreedhar, I was telling our designer to complete work in 2 days as we are going to Jodhpur right. By the way how come you are early. Audits done"

" Yes Sumanji audits closed yesterday. Actually Vaishnav had requested some help in selecting furniture for the haweli. That man just called and asked whether they can bring the furniture. I thought I will pick you up and then we can go to haweli "

" Good idea Chachu. Actually I was planning to tell Chachi that after this I need to go to Vaishu's place to help him with preparation for tomorrow's housewarming. Vindhya Chachi and Aakash had gone there as per his request. Sarangi didi can come tomorrow only as Anmol Bhaiyya didn't get leave again due to audits"

" Ok then let us go" told Sreedhar " You people get in the car. I will come discussing with the designer on payment and other things"

Suman and Poornima went to the car. Suman opened the back door and Poornima the front door " Chachi I just want the day to come quickly so that we can swap places when Sreedhar Chachu is driving " Suman patted her cheeks and told " Impatient girl " while climbing into the back seat

Soon they reached the haweli. As they got out the vehicle carrying furniture also came. Sreedhar supported Vaishnav in directing the men in placing the furniture. Once it was done they looked around. Haweli has been cleaned and painted. Last minute decorations for the function was going on. Vindhya was helping in arranging the things needed for Ganesh Pooja which Dinakar had agreed to do. Aakash and Vaishnav were busy doing the decorations

Suman and Poornima along with the workers removed all unwanted things into a parked vehicle. When it was more or less done with only decoration remaining Suman told

" Sreedhar and Poornima I have some orders to finish. Once we go to Jodhpur for one week I am not there right. Can we go "

" You proceed Chachu and Chachi, I will come with Vindhya Chachi and Aakash after completing decoration " told Poornima

" Suman Chachi come early tomorrow " told Vaishnav smiling

" I will come Vaishnav. I wont back out " told Suman

As Sreedhar drove her home Suman told " Sreedhar I forgot to tell you something. Couple of days back on day of Suhagan Pooja Maa gave me Gajra to keep in my room"

" Gajra for you. What did she tell"

" She told my room will have fragrance but I felt Maa kind of felt bad when I went up when Suhagan Pooja started. Somehow I was unable to sit there with all memories "

Sreedhar caressed her hands " Sumi I know the toll the pretense is taking on you, but please hold on"

" Don't worry Sreedhar. I told naa, I will walk on any fire with you" she smiled as he entered Varma's mansion's driveway

" I want to go to Jodhpur. Why I am not allowed. Dadi gave permission to take Vaishu Bhaiyya also" Adwaith was crying

" Adwaith beta you can go next time when you become little more older. Now don't go and create problems for Suman Chachi"

" No I want to go. I will not trouble anyone. I sleep with Aakash Bhaiyya right. Ask him whether I trouble him" Adwaith continued his tantrums

Renu smiled. She knew many times Aakash had to ensure Adwaith didn't fall from his bunker bed as he insisted on lying on top. But Aakash never complained and cuddled his younger brother like anything.

" You are not going Adwaith" Renu became a little stern

Suman and Sreedhar entered listening to the shouts " What happened Adwaith" asked Sreedhar

Seeing them the boy ran to Suman and hugged her " Chachi tell Maa that I want to come with all of you to Jodhpur"

" Bhabi let him come naa. What he will do here alone. You don't trust me enough with him" asked Suman

" Suman it is not that I don't trust you. It is that if he comes he wont allow you to roam around carefree, always wanted to be taken. He wont walk for 5 minutes " told Renu

" Leave that Bhabi. I am there naa. I can take him. Allow him to come " told Sreedhar

" Spoil him Sreedhar. He knows you both will listen to his tantrums. Well go Adwaith. But please don't trouble Chachi and Chachu too much. Be a good boy" told Renu

" I wont trouble " he didn't look at Renu still hugging Suman as she took him in her arms.
