Chapter 258- Sightseeing, Chitra bua

It was the Varma's final day in Singapore. The trade fest was a success. They had good sales for Rashee. Also they were able to get orders from couple of boutiques other than the the Mehta's. It was good for whole sale business also as the deal with Mehta's would be bringing foreign currency for the first time for the Varma business house.

As planned they were on one day Singapore Sight seeing. It was in a way three couples enjoying a good vacation. Vindhya, Sudhir, Tilak and Renu didn't spare one moment they got to tease Sree and Suman.

" So Sree where are you planning to take her for honeymoon" asked Tilak.

" Bhaiyya I suppose you will sponsor that for me " told Sreedhar giving equally back.

" Bhaiyya you are trapped now. Where will you send them " teased Sudhir.

" Sudhir if you too can join, we can send them to Europe for a very long honeymoon. You just need to book a suite in Ritz" told Tilak.

" Well we are also here. We will also be happy to go to Ritz " told Vindhya nudging Renu.

" Vindhya don't dream too much. You very well know my husband and your husband" told Renu.

" Arrey are you ladies mad. Tilak Bhaiyya have one daughter to marry off, and I also have a daughter to marry off. Now we have to think about them" told Sudhir.

" Jethji it is not right to tell girls are a burden. Because of Poorni and Nami you want take Renu Bhabi and Vindhya Bhabi" told Suman.

" Bhaiyya beware. The ultra-feminist is on the prowl. If you prefer to see me alive pacify Renu Bhabi and Vindhya Bhabi " told Sreedhar .

They all laughed. Soon they discussed about the kids wanting Sreedhar to marry Suman and many other interesting tit -bits from Sree-Suman's college life and their own past. They were in happy mood when they came back to the restaurant of the hotel they were staying and sat for dinner.

" I want to tell you all about something which Papa told me two weeks back. I couldn't tell then as we all were busy with this trip" told Sudhir once they gave the orders.

" Bhaiyya you look serious. Why. Did Mahantji create another issue" asked Sreedhar.

" No Sreedhar it is not Mahantji. It is about the past of our own family" told Sudhir and then he told about what Rajasekahr told him about their Chitra bua.

" Chitra bua is alive. Papa allowed his didi to run away with her lover. I cant believe " told Vindhya.

" Yes but then the way family's reputation suffered because of the alleged suicide of Chitra bua he became afraid. I feel dadu might also have influenced him to be rigid " told Sudhir.

" Now we are suppose to find Chitra bua" asked Suman.

" Yes Suman, Papa very much wants to meet his sister. He has done some searches also in the direction. After you broke down that day, I feel his need to meet his sister has increased. He says he owes it to dadi who till her last breath cried about the daughter whom she couldn't protect. " told Sudhir.

" Well we will see, do we have any photos, any other information" asked Tilak.

" Yes he has given some old photos. Last traced location and all the information he remembers about his sister" told Sudhir.

" So Bhaiyya once we are back we will start mission Chitra bua" told Sreedhar.

"Once we are back first we will start mission Suman Sreedhar Varma and then we will think about any other mission" told Vindhya and everyone laughed looking at Sree and Suman. They both blushed.

" Maa don't you feel you need to go back to Jaipur. Don't you feel you need to meet your brother his family, " Supriya looked at her mother who had come to visit her in Delhi.

Chitra looked at her daughter. When she had come to Supriya's home 6 years back Gautham had bought his friend Sreedhar at home. When she heard the surname, she had wanted to know more about him. When she questioned the boy on his family, her daughter forced her to tell the truth. The truth which she had not shared with her children. Truth of her family. They only knew their mother as an orphan.

Supriya was overjoyed knowing the relations she had, though she knew owing to circumstances she might never be able to tell the truth.

When Supriya hinted Sreedhar might be loving Suman, her mother had personally come to meet the girl, spoke to her, asked about the family she came from and had told Sreedhar has chosen well. Rajasekhar will approve.

" Supriya beta I had told you don't dream about going to Jaipur as a member of Varma family. It might bring disgrace to Rajasekhar and his family. Let us be happy Gautham and Sreedhar are dear friends. They need not know the blood relation. It doesn't help anyone. Don't force me beta" told Chitra to her daughter as she gently got up , said good night and walked to her room.

Supriya looked at her mother. She knew her mother wanted to go back. She wanted to see her brother, his family, his children, his grand children. She wanted to meet her sisters, talk to them. But then if she do anything without her permission she wont like it also. Supriya closed her eyes and asked Mata Gowri to show her a way.
