Hmmm
That explanation to herself from herself...totally understand!
What if he actually affirmed her of an affair?
But something good happened...they cleared the air..Ii did actually.

Yes, the disaster of a working relationship with Ritu is a disaster of her doing entirely. But that's about it. No , it wouldn't hv helped her present state of mind if he had affirmed it as she is still reconciling and probably will continue to for the major part of her life but on the same length it wouldn't hv done her any good if she had sat for three months on it just chewing on it and giving the grief to everyone around. That route that they have travelled earlier ,that was majorly dude's making did no good to anyone either.

As far as manoing goes, first there is a sorry from her , a regret and now there's been an wholesome effort to explain why she did what she did. That for me holds good for now. With Ritu bringing the connect, it was a little too close for comfort. Especially when the man is very much around in touching distance. I get ii's need to spit it out . Not bcos she doesn't trust him now. She does . The past shouldn't bother you is only pretty much theory . Doesn't work practically. Any other woman in the past, it would hv remained a past. But not Ritu...this is a dicey past , if it were to be true , cutting in to II's present as both the ladies are colleagues now...that she needed reassurance on whatever be the answer that came out of it. You do want a reassurance even if it's past when something like this nagging you like a bolt from the blue. It's how you approach seeking reassurance that makes it interesting.
Wonder who's throwing a tantrum now though after the effort to explain . But yes, it's a big deal to him and as his wife says, the thing with her husband is that pretty much nothing that doesn't concern him bothers him much but what does hurt him, he sits on it and he deals with it in a way that is difficult for people around him to understand. But then that's Dude and he is also who he is , one of a kind.

Shruthi, II faltered big time with Ranjanji during those two months she was at DII.
But she faltered not as dude's wife or the responsible woman of the house or the daughter in law of MM but more as a daughter to Ranjan Bhalla .

She failed as a DAUGHTER TO HIM more. The Man deserved more and there perhaps from that point on she downsized herself to being more a daughter in law of her house... entirely of her own doing. Sad.

"" she said "I didnt mean it any other way. I mean...aisa nahi hai ki tumhe kisi baat ka faraq nahi padta
padta hai... lekin Jab tumhe faraq padta hai kisi baat ka to tum bilqul baat karna band kar dete ho"
She cackled derisively
"Thats an oxymoron actually... jo baat karta hai wohi baat band kar sakta hai, you never talk so stopping doesnt mean a thing to you" she smiled derisively""

She comes up with some gems even when she finds herself corneredThis girl still manages to say something witty that puts a smiley on you even if it's self torture. 😆 . The oxymoron and then her self admonition of Ayyayo, yendi, why do I feel the need to spew such gems was very sagely from her. 😆

But even great was dude's response " Are you done". Unruffled, calm and stoic atleast on the outside Nothing beats this and shows how far they have come along together .

Nisha, that line of his past being an open gash that continues to fester hits you hard and brings out the depth of her anguish and self torture. Some skin lacerations take too long to heal without the stitches. Slow poison if unattended. Sigh...

As they say for Tattoos, ' THINK BEFORE YOU INK" as once inked , removal of tattoos and scars is no picnic in the park.

But II has got herself inked willingly and the only lasic procedure she can do is not on her body but her mind to not let past rankle the present, to not remove the tattoos but to look past it. If only it was that simple... 😭

Letting go is an art you have to leant and if she doesn't she will end being a suspicious, hurting, superbly possessive, sad and angry person who will not only destroy her own happiness but of those around her. A little amount of envy, possessiveness etc is fine Lekin as they say in Hindi shak ka ilaaj to lukmaan Hakeem ke paas bhi nahi ( even the greatest of doctors such as lukman hakeem do not have a cure for suspicion). But she is not stupid, she will figure outa way to deal with this wound, I wish dude was a bit more forthcoming and helpful in this matter. All she needs s reassurance.

Kalpana, I agree with you. II did what she did, in view of what was presented to her. Agree with the Dude's anger. But if he knows more about Ritu, he can share with II now than just daunting her with his silence.

These guys have a problem with closure. They tend to leave everything open-ended and cause grief for themselves 😔

Agreed - it's a combo of letting go, moving on and reassurance when there is a gap.

Right Jas. It's good time to share even if it's an indirect connect that he knows of Ritu. They still can have a normal convo as to what's the connect Ritu was talking abt. Forget an affair any connect that gets you bk to college days always is interesting and there a general curiosity.
But the problem here is he doesn't budge that easily. He let's go of the window of opportunity to talk and also let his wife know of his expectations from her. That is what Shruthi meant by saying wish Dude was more forthcoming .

Most times the brahm astra of silence that he uses without killing the opponent is more a pain in the a** 😆. Right they don't close and let things die a painful slow death

I know They don't talk and sort things or issues out but this is also true that she is not insecure and dude has reassured her many times before and she herself has said that she is not insecure but her actions every time make dude think as if she is...
And this time it is also related to telling lie or hiding the truth that he knew Ritu before and had not tell her
