Fabulous,I'm so anxious to know what happened between Khusi n her boyfriend n why she married Arnav when she was not ready to accept another man in her life as the way she reacted when he was abt to touch her in a very decent way may be it was of her family who pressurized her.

This story reminds me of a Mani Ratnam movie that I had seen a long time back - Mouna Ragam (Tamil). It's a classic - do watch if you haven't and I'm sure there are subtitles. The emotions are so subtle with none of the OTT dialogues that we see in other movies. In this story, you manage to convey so much with so little - powerful writing. I only have one request - the chapters are a bit short leaving the reader hungry for more😊

I felt the same while I was reading 2nd Part!! Arnav reminded me Mohan's role!

Hayyeee I had a huge crush on him for his role as ideal husband!! 😃😆 Thanks Kalam 😊

I wonder what made her marry Arnav who seems quite unaware of the

turmoil in her mind ...

Imagine being left alone on your wedding night itself ! but I suppose this time alone

will give Khushi time to gather herself ...

I totally agree with both of you - it was a classic movie -

Great start - have lot of queries regarding their past and the reasons which led to their marriage - I know I know those will be answered in the upcoming updates.
Lovely update - u have already created a soft corner for Arnav in my heart - will wait to read more

All you Mouna Raagam fans out there...

I'm a big big fan of the 80's Mani Ratnam movies and needless to call out my appreciation for Mouna Raagam.

@mklam: subtitles won't do justice to the subtlety of the language. "Neenga thotta kambli poochi oorura madhiri irruku" - Divya's (Revathi's) disgust could not been put more aptly and nor can any attempts at translation: "When you touch me, it feels like a centipede crawling on me." be any bit as powerful as the how it comes across in tamil.

@Kishmish & Arjuhisis: If you guys know me at all, I wouldn't be interested in telling a story that's already been told and re-told. ;)

There is a big difference between Divya of Mouna Raagam and Surabhi of Nilagiri Diaries. Both carry another in their heart and their marriage surely starts out as that. Though Divya gives into the pressure of the elders and agrees to marry Chandru, she doesn't take long before she demands for a divorce. Of course, the movie doesn't explore her decisiveness at the time of wedding itself, as to whether she wanted to wanted to try out a relationship with Chandru at all, or merely go through with the wedding only (at least I don't recollect any scenes to clarify on that.)

And I'll leave it there, and expect you all to take up the discussion from there on: to compare and contrast Divya and Surabhi. :)

PS Chandru's (Mohan's) character in Mouna Raagam was quite one dimensional for me. Shall I say, he was too obliging... Now, we'll have to see what shades Abhiram has to portray.
