Shruthi loved the Varma's I mean both RV & TV at both occasions like in MA as well as dining table. Its understood that RV will retaliate with Rawat for his daughter indulting one of the member of Varma family. How can he digest that? All along he was meticulously following the tradition path marked by the mahantaji so that no one point finger at his family and even with that if some one dare to point finger at his DIL and that too by calling her with disgraceful words, why will he take it lightly. Added to that now he has confidence that nothing will go wrong when he has his 3 sons with him and no one can question his family or affect his family. His confidence is increased when he had his elder son who is ready to face the world fro his family. Both son & father duo has sucked the confidence from each other at MA.

Though it takes time for RV to openly accept Poornima as his Gradchild, he has whole heartedly accepted her as his son's daughter and that is a phenomenal growth and I loved it the way he teased his son for the first time and how Tv turned sheepish with his father's tease. I loved it a lot and it felt nice to know their bond when TV was a student and how his father attended his PTM.

And it is bad that Pradeep Samrat died and his wife has to face the inevitable. I just wish her BIL will not push her to the corner and make her eat her words because even for sadistic satisfaction, I can't imagine her facing the problems of a widow as we very well know how brutal is her BIL. I just hope she will get some moral support from MV and her DILs.

@jaya I had made clear earlier also that RV can reprimand or question his son, wife in the privacy of their home, but he wont stand against them or against the ethics they stand for in the open. Because he knows they are right. It is just his fear holding him back. Now the fear is slowly loosening as he sees support for his sons across. The family bonding, where family standing together in all issues. His traditional views will take time which of course we know. But unlike Virender Rajput or Mahantji RV is not a heartless man. He never was. Just his insecurities have to be addressed.

Shruthi u mean to say Pradeep's wife is innocent? she was always rude against widows and she is also the reason Vaishnav is motherless and homeless

It's sad that society ,most of the times , reject the victims more than the culprits. Especially if a woman is involved,this happens more.

The concept of robbing the colorful cloths & all the accessories was introduced to save such women from the rogues and the invaders as they had no male support to safeguard. It was also to save them from lusters (within family as well). The woman without any makeup and colored cloths and with covered head was not an attractive sight for men and even then they were asked to stay away from crowd to safe guard their virtue only so that no man can caste his evil sight on her and take unnecessary advantage of her vulnerability. Such women were advised not to have spicy food and restrict themselves to sathvik food so that they shall not get cravings. they were called evil so that the real evils shall not wander to them and affect them. It was like the mother tells her kid not to go out in night otherwise the booth will catch him. And some cases the mother will make one of the family member as angry person who will harm the child if he/she doesn't eat the food properly of is he cries. Deep down in the child's mind this person will be registered as a demon and even after the child grown up, he will have apprehensions in dealing with that elder though in reality he might not even know the fact that the child's mother has made him the villain just to suppress her child from crying.

It is the same case with out casting the widows. Initially to keep the men away from widow, the elders would have called her an evil and if a man gets near her will have ill fate etc. So down the lane, the widow has got many more titles.

So if I think about Pradeep Samrat's wife or Naina, all I can feel is that from the childhood they have been fed the idea that a widow is a chudail and seeing them will bring them widowship (there were chances of man getting close to his wife's friend who is vulnerable and might not open her mouth about her friends husband either by thinking how to bring sorrow to her friend or what if she thinks bad about her only). people like mahantaji are responsible for such actions and words.

@jaya there is something called intend of action, if you don't understand the intend and blindly follow negative actions creating fear and use it for your selfishness snatching away happiness of others life will one day show mirror to you. How it feels. I also know of satvik food part and I know why kumkum is not allowed, because kumkum is kept at the centre of forehead and also in maang and it activates the need to have relation which is very much needed in a married woman but not in a widow. That's why husband does sindoor dan as per hindu customs, so that the need for having relation is restricted with respect to him. Not before that and not with anyone else

@Ria lot of things about Sanathana Dharma is symbolic and it has been passed from generation to generation mostly orally. Written things are less and that's why the knowledge lies buried and we ourselves are trying to find it. As many follow blindly without understanding and it creates unnecessary fear and superstitions.
