WHAT! Leeches! They are scary! Why should it happen and radha should take care of LD? Because Radha didn't slap him, I did in my thoughts. :P
"LD change out of those wet clothes," Radha tells him handing him a large towel. "I'll put some salt on the leeches and they will fall off." She goes to the kitchen and comes back with the salt. She applies it liberally on the leeches and slowly they fall off. "LD, I have heated some water and kept it in the bathroom. Have a bath and then I'll dress the wound. Give me your house keys and I'll bring some clothes for you to change into." He takes the keys out of his pocket and gives it to Radha. When he reaches the bathroom, he remembers the marriage picture that he had on his bedroom wall and went back to the hall but Radha was gone. He goes back to bathe.
Negotiating her way through the hall in LD's apartment and reaching the bedroom, she opens the closet and pulls out some clothes. The room was dark as the clouds had gathered and it was about to start raining. Using the feeble light of her dying cell phone, she makes her way back to her portion of the building. LD had bathed and held out his hand for his clothes. "I think its best that I dress the bites before you put the sweatpants on." She brings out her first aid box. She bandages the wounds with a light dressing. LD reaches for the sweatpants. "Wait LD."
Radha takes a bottle of oil. "What is this?" "Eucy oil. I'll massage some onto your legs otherwise you will be sore tomorrow. "You don't need to. I can manage." "LD..." "Yes?" "Just shut up!" LD watches Radha as she massages the oil onto his legs. She seemed to still care about him and while showing it in the little things that she did, he knew Radha well enough to know she would never admit it to anyone. When she is done, Radha clears up the place and packs up her first aid box. She throws a couple of pieces wood into the fire and goes to the kitchen.
Putting the box away she turns her attention to the package that LD had brought with him. She takes out the contents. Good the bread and jam would help for emergencies. And LD had bought a month's supply of candles. Silly LD. He never had a sense of proportion. She takes out the last package and her eyes fill with tears. Puran poli! In the midst of all the turmoil outside, LD had seen these and bought it for her. She eats one right away. She starts cooking dinner. The kitchen got the afternoon sun and so there was still some light.
The children were having a nap in her room and would wake soon. She warms up the milk for them and seasons the channa that she had already cooked. She kept her cooking light and made sure it was healthy. But today they would have puran poli too! As the children wake one by one and make their way to the kitchen, Radha is ready for them. Settling them and giving them their milk and snack, she goes to check on LD. He is fast asleep stretched out on the mattress. The fatigue was less obvious on his face now.
She wakes him up gently. If he sleeps too long he won't sleep in the night. "LD, I'll bring some tea for you. And thank you for the puran poli." "It was always the little things that brought much joy to you. That is what I love about you." "I'll get the tea."
The children had finished their tea. In the morning, LD had cleared the furniture in the hall to one side so that the twins could have some place to kick a soft ball around. He walks into the kitchen and watches Varun help his mummy clear the table. "Papa, play ball?" asks Viv. "Yes, Papa will play ball with you but let him have his tea first." "Papa quickly please." "Viv, what is this? Is this how you behave? Varun take the boys to the hall and let Papa eat in peace." She turns to the counter and works towards finishing cooking dinner.
As he finishes tea, the first claps of thunder are heard. "Radha, are you okay here." "Yes, I'll light a couple of candles and finish cooking dinner. Nothing exotic but should be okay." "Just eating your cooking again seems to be like being given food from the Gods. I'll see what the kids are up to."
Strangely, though there was a lot more thunder and lightning, today, the children were unperturbed. Just LD being around seems to have calmed them down. After finishing cooking dinner, Radha joins her family in the hall. Watching the children having fun with their father, she wonders for the first time whether she did the right thing by leaving LD. She had thought she was managing well. But was she really?

You are, Radha. Sab Uss LD Ki Galti Hai. -_-
But cute update!
Exactly, humans make mistakes. Radha is a human and all humans at some point of time feel dread towards everyone who hurts them. Either at that very moment or when they are in vulnerable moment. LD's love is and will always be more unconditional than Radha's for me, because he loved her when she hated him and his family was against him, he took the first step. But even he was angry on Radha, even he manhandled her. How can we justify that? He destroyed her life, nothing can change that, in the beginning. What if he never loved her? She would have got nothing in her life. And he didn't trust her, insulted her so badly, manhandled her and was forgiven instantly. Years of marriage, but still he couldn't trust Radha's love for him and chose another's judgement to leave his delicately pregnant wife and went to a not reachable area. He did many mistakes, and even if Radha doesn't want his repentance, she deserves it and LD needs it. He needs to learn to trust Radha, which maybe he didn't learn.
Two wrongs do not make a right and you can be 'in the right' but yet be wrong. People are human and make mistakes but if you love:Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. So how much did Radha love LD?

Radha is not insulting or doing something bad to LD, so she is not going wrong. And whatever pain he is bearing is all Karma. Radha endured it and now he is enduring it. It is her choice, and should come from her heart, to forgive him or the relationship will be very fragile and can break once again if she is not able to move on and accepts him just because he is the father of her children.
"Radha, shall we have an early dinner? Radha?" "Sorry, LD. Did you say something?" "I was suggesting that we have an early dinner. Are you okay?" "I'm fine. You are right. We should eat early." "Radha, do you mind? I want to do something special. Can I look after serving dinner?" Radha nods. LD goes to the kitchen and brings a laden thali. "Children, since we don't have power, we should not be dirtying too many dishes." He gathers the children around him and starts feeding them from the thali. "What about Mummy? Aren't you going to feed her also?" "Mummy, please come and have your share too." Radha couldn't refuse without Sid becoming upset. So she joined the little group realising with a start that she had made LD's favourite vegetable dish. Aloo mutter.
Radha takes the food that LD proffers and eats. "No Mummy, you need to let Uncle put the food in your mouth like he did for us. It tastes better," Viv says. "Mummy," says LD offering Radha another bite. As she accepts the food, Radha's eyes glisten with tears. "Sid, Viv let Papa feed you. I am not hungry. I'll start bringing the bedding so that we can sleep." When the children have had enough, LD gets up and takes the thali to the kitchen. Radha hears the sounds of LD washing up and goes to check. He was clearing up the kitchen.
"LD, what about you? You haven't eaten anything." "Radha, have you forgotten everything in three years? When have I eaten without you except when we were not together. You don't want to eat and I can't eat knowing that you have not eaten." "LD, don't be silly. You have been working hard all day. You would be so hungry." "Does it really matter to you, Radha?" Radha doesn't reply. "Radha, sometimes when all you have is memories, you protect them with all you have. If you can finish off here, I'll get the kids settled for the night."
The winds were howling away when Radha reached the living room. LD and the children were already asleep. LD in the middle and Viv and Sid curled up closest to him, each with a leg on his chest. Varun and Charu next to Viv. There was space on the mattress next to Sid. Radha looked at the couch and the space. She will sleep on the mattress next to Sid. The couch was not too comfortable and if she gets up first, no one will know.
Sid wakes up. Where was Viv? Viv and he were always together. Viv was on the other side of Uncle. He gets up and squeezes himself between Varun and Viv and falls asleep again. It is morning and for the first time in two days there is some light from the sun as it rises above the horizon. Radha stirs awake and finds herself locked in the embrace of LD's arm. She tries to free herself but subconsciously LD tightens his grip on her. If she moves too much, LD will wake up and find that she was in his arms. She waits for him to relax his grip and after a few minutes is able to get up without waking him.
Radha starts heating water for her bath and goes to bathe. She starts making breakfast, using one of the burners to heat more water for bathing. LD wakes up to a familiar aroma. It was like... It couldn't be... it was indeed... banana pancakes. "LD, tea." It was almost as if things were back to normal thought LD as he sipped his tea. "I have heated water for bathing. Do you want to go in first before the children wake?" "No Radha, you will need the water for the kids. I'll go to my apartment and freshen up. I need to shave and change my clothes. But..." "But?" "But I expect a share of the banana pancakes." Radha laughed - the first time in three years that she had truly laughed.
LD goes to his apartment smiling, Radha's laughter still ringing in his ears and sets a pot of water on the stove to heat while he shaves. As he shaves he sees something on his t-shirt and stops. A strand of hair - a long strand of hair - Radha's hair. He had vaguely thought he had felt Radha on his arm and dismissed it as a dream out of wishful thinking and now... He pulls of his t-shirt and sniffs it. The faint fragrance of the face cream that Radha used at night lingered. He folded the t shirt neatly taking care that the strand of hair was undisturbed and put it in the wardrobe.
As he had told Radha when all one had was memories, one tended to preserve each one carefully...
But he did hurt. Intentions definitely matter but what about Radha's pain? She should just forget it as if it never happened. Would LD have done the same thing? It breaks my heart to see LD not doing anything special to woo her.
LD is a fellow who can't see beyond his nose when he is emotional - either when he is angry - marriage act, desperate - climbing on the electricity pole or hurt - taking up a locked in assignment. His intentions were never to hurt Radha - Radha is his world. He will never hurt Radha deliberately.
new morning, new day. what does the new day bring us. what will the morning be like after the storm that rages in my heart all night. What is...
