CHAPTER 16
After the marriage, ghar pravesh takes place. Kashish taps the kalash with her leg and puts her leg on the plate where there is red water with sindoor. Both enter the room.
Kashish: Sujal, I need to talk to you.
Sujal: Yes, tell me.
Suddenly somebody knocks the door. Kashish opens the door. It was none other than Rishi and Kashish's sisters. They asked for the neg for his wedding. Sujal sends them off giving money to them. After they left, Sujal said, "What you want to say?"
Again somebody knocks the door. It was CG and Veena.
CG: We have booked the honeymoon tickets for you at Thailand. So both of you have to get ready.
Sujal and Kashish agree to go to honeymoon.
Kashish is troubled to look at those pictures. Sujal sees the pictures in her hands.
Sujal: What is in your hands?
Kashish: Nothing.
Sujal: You are hiding something from me. Can I see them?
He takes the photographs and is shocked to see himself with Sanjana.
Sujal: Hmm, so this is troubling you. We both know that I have always loved you with all my heart. I don't have any such feelings for Sanjana.
Kashish: Where are these pictures taken?
Sujal: It was during the college days. Sanjana was studying in the same college. She was wearing short dresses. Some guys were misbehaving with her. I saw that and saved her from them. She was unconscious. I tried to revive her. If anyone else were in her place, I would have done the same thing. But someone must have taken those pics.
Kashish: I think it might be Swayam's work. Vasu aunty was against our relationship since day 1 and Sanjana loved you from our childhood.
Sujal: You are right. But we don't have any proof that it is Swayam's work. But no one else can do this work. Anyway, we will see after coming back from Thailand.
Both pack their bags and leave for Thailand.
Next is Rishi and Mouli's wedding. However, they wait for Sujal and Kashish to come back from Thailand to conduct their engagement.
Lalit and Vasundhara are now leaving separately. However, Vasundhara has an eye on Sujal and Kashish and is eager to know the latest development. Lalit does not speak to her nor does he eat whatever she prepares for him.
Vasu: Please have something and go. Don't show your anger on food.
Lalit: I will refer to die of hunger rather than having anything from your hands. If you want things to be like before, you have to set everything right. You have to go to the Garewals and apologize to them. Only then I will give you the rights of a wife. Otherwise be ready to sign the divorce papers.
Vasundara is shocked. She said, "No Lalit. You cannot do that."
Lalit: When you can do these, why can't I divorce you? How can you be so selfish? You have to agree to my conditions otherwise, our relationship comes to an end. I know you have been doing a lot many things but I have been overlooking them. But you have crossed all the limits now. I will also tell you my conditions.
1. Go to the Garewals right away and apologize to them.
2. Accept Mehek as your DIL and bring Sanjana to track.
3. Stop interfering between Sujal and Kashish.
4. Even after doing these, you should be a good wife and a responsible mother.
The ball is in your court. This is your first and the last chance to save your marriage.
Vasundara is dismayed.
Lalit: You are bent on destroying Sujal-Kashish relationship and don't want Mehek as she is Kashish's sister. How do you feel when the same comes to your doorstep? You are not a woman but a witch in the name of a woman. You don't deserve to be anyone's wife & mother.
Vasundara gets shattered but is not able to say anything. She decides to abide to the terms and conditions which Lalit has mentioned and see later what can be done.
She goes to Garewal House and apologizes to CG and Veena for her misdeeds with tearful eyes.
She said, "CG, I know it is difficult for you to forget all that had happened. You are upset with me but you still consider Lalit as your best friend. I want your relations with him like before."
She says that and leaves.
She then goes to Sinha house and apologizes to them for her misdeeds and accepts Varun's marriage with Mehek.
Meanwhile, Swayam makes a plan to make Sujal and Kashish to come back from their honeymoon before the expected time.
The Sinhas come to Raheja House. Lalit welcomes them. The Sinhas give the shagun to them. Vasundara announces the engagement the next day.
