Right before Prithvi can say something, the nurse comes insides to make sure she is alright, to see if she needed anything.
N: Are you sure you don't need anything.
K: Yes, I am sure. Thanks for asking.
Right before the nurse leaves, she notices a boy there.
N: Who is this, Kripa?
K: Oh, nobody. He is my classmate from school, (Kripa said hesitatingly)
N: The nurse laughs and says alright. She is about to leave and shut the door behind her when she hears a voice.
K: Please do me a favor and keep the door open. It's not like you need to make sure I won't run away. I can't.
The nurse understands what she means but keeps quite. She fulfills her wish.
Kripa weeps silently forgetting about her question. Prithvi keeps quite. He doesn't want to cause any problem because he knows she is sad because of her handicap.
A couple of hours past, there is silence between the two. Kripa is still confused about Prithvi's presence because she knows for sure they were never friends. It's not like she never wanted to be his friend, she has had a crush on him for about 2 years now. All of the sudden, Prithvi's cell phone rings. He excuses himself for a minute. At that time the nurse comes in and tells Kripa that her parents are here and it's time for her discharge. Prithvi also comes in after talking on his phone and tells Kripa he has to go since an urgent work has come up.
K: Good. I mean you'd get bored all alone in a hospital wouldn't you? I am getting discharged and going home.
N: Honey, who said you're getting discharged from the hospital right now? You still have to go to all of your doctors and then we need you to see your new physical therapist.
K: Physical therapist?
N: Wait, I've already have said way too much. I'm sorry. Forget I said anything to you. She is about to leave when Kripa tries stopping her. She is unsuccessful.
Kripa is still wondering though, what NEW physical therapist was she talking about??? She doesn't need a physical therapist. She only has one in school. They never gave her one for daily visits because she didn't want any false hopes about her walking again.
Prithvi has already left for his urgent work.
Later her parents came to pick her up to take her to the P.T office. There, Sharon, her new physical therapist tells her that she has a chance to recover. Kripa was ecstatic. Unfortunately for Kripa, she has to go through surgery.
Doctor: This surgery may help kripa or hurt her. She may be able to start walking again or she might never be able to move her legs ever again.
Parents; What! No, we can't take that risk. She moves around with the help of her legs and that is enough for us.
Kripa: But mom, dad, you can't do this to me. I have a chance to fulfill one of my top wishes. Please let me.
After so much arguing they finally agreed to go through the surgery.
Doctor: Alright, in two months we will be all free to do this surgery. Until then, we need Kripa to do some therapy. She will be with Sharon doing some exercises.
Finally Kripa is released from the hospital and she starts going to school.
Kripa is doing great at school until one day when Tori, Kripa's friend, comes up to her and tells her to beware of Sam.
Intro to Sam: Her name is Sampada but for short everyone calls her Sam. She is a total white girl and is in love with Prithvi and is jealous of Kripa. I know your wondering why would Sam be jealous of Kripa, a handicap. That is a secret!
Kripa is confused as to why Tori said that and went away without giving any explanations. Anyways, Kripa did what Tori told her to and made sure nothing out of the ordinary went wrong.
