Chapter 3

The entire academy seemed too silent today. The loudest batch of six was punished, their favorite teacher was missing and probably dead, and the court martial had brought a question with itself, "Did Rajveer try to free himself from the guilt of killing his friend or was he really trying to prove his innocence only to Naina?"

It was around 2100 hours when Suriji knocked the door of BC's cabin. "Oh may I come in, Sirji?" he asked, trying to sound normal, though the sorrow was evident in the tone of his voice. BC just nodded as he gestured him to come in. The tray in Suriji's hands made it clear that he was there to serve dinner for BC, but hunger was the last thought on BC's mind.

"Kuch kha lijiye Sirji...is tarah bhookhe rehne se toh koi mushkil hal nahi honi hai na..." Suriji tried to reason with him, as he arranged the plates.

"kya aapko bhi yahi lgta hai Suri sahab ki Rajveer ab...?" BC asked, clearly lost in his thoughts

"oh na ji sirji, sache badshah ne apne bandho ki raksha zaroor krni hai. Aur kaptaan saab k change hone pe mainu koi shaq nahi hai...bas dar hai toh is baat ka ki jo vo vapas aa bhi gye toh aage kya hoga?"

"Umeed to mujhe bhi yahi hai Suriji...shayad Rajveer hi hume is hamle ki sachhai bta skta hai.." BC said

"Bura na mane toh ek baat kahu Sirji?" Suriji asked, before putting forth his point," Mainu lagda hai eh cadet sahi keh rahe hain, aur fir cadet jooth bol kar kaptaan sahab ko musibat me kyu daalenge?" with a pause he further continued, "oh sirji in cadetoo kit oh poori tayari thi Rajveer ko nirdosh saabit krne ki aaj, par kuch logo ne unhe Rajveer se milne se na roka hota toh aaj ye sab kuch na hota ji. Aur rajveer putar, vo toh Naina ki aabru ko bachaye rakhne ke liye koi bhi saza manzoor kar leta, aur usne aisa kiya bhi...isse bada kaunsa saboot ho sakta hai us bande ki achai aur sachai ka?"

"Aap cadets se baat krke mujhe vo file laa kar de. Main is case ko ek baar fir dekhna chahta hoon. Ye academy ek aur Navin Ahluwalia ka ghar nahi banegi..." BC says, sad and disheartened. Confused and disappointed.

"Sirji cadet to solitary confinement me hai..."

"Unhe apne room me jane k liye keh dijiye...aur haan unse kahiye mujhe 0030hours par report kare.."

Suriji nodded and left the cabin.

Suriji then proceeded to free the cadets from punishment and told them to report to BC later in the night. He also informed them not to tell to anyone about this. "oh puttar ji, sachai ke liye toh apne BC bhi ladte hain. Bas unpar barosa rakho, aur tum sabko jo kuch bhi pta hain, unse keh dena aaj." He said, while looking at everyone. Then moving towards Naina, "oh puttar ji, tera dard toh main kam nahi kar sakta, par itna keh sakta hoon ki sache badshah ne chaha toh Rajveer ke sath sath tu apne bhai Navin ki begunahi sabit krne me kamyab hogi. Barosa rakh uspe" he said patting her head, and pointing towards the sky..

Naina didn't respond anything, but Suriji understood her condition. He once again gave a hopeful look to all the cadets and left.

They soon left for their rooms, and freshened up. And met again in Naina's room.

Naina was in the washroom when they came, and hence Pooja was alone in room. "oye yaaro, ye Naina toh kuch bol hi nahi rahi, mujhe badi fikar ho rhi hai...maine kaha bhi kuch khale, par bina kuch kahe, bas chali gyi."

"aap chinta mt kijiye pooji...hum naina se baat krenge, unhe samjhaenge...is tarah khana peena chod kar, dosto se baat na karke, vo khud ko itni takleef na de" ali tried to console the worried pooja

Just then they heard a knock on the door, and assuming it is naina, Yudi went to open the door. But what he saw drained the blood from his face. Standing at the door was Subedar-Major Lolita Sen. So he shut the door again as quickly as possible. (Yudi's troubled music in background :P)

"Cadet Sahni! Open the door!" Lolita mam shouted from outside, thus everyone in the room knew what had just happened. The guys tried to hide, but then understood theres no point in hiding as Lolita mam has already seen yudi. So pooja opened the door this time, and before Lolita mam could speak, they all started saying Sorry,

"Stop it cadets!" she shouted. And then in a softer voice,"main samjh sakti hoon tum log kis waqt se guzar rahe ho, isliye tum sab ke liye khana lekar aayi hoon." And her statement left everyone surprised and amazed. But how could she be too sweet? So she added,"lekin yaad rahe kal se tum logo ko koi special treatment nahi milegi. And boys! Aaj ke baad agar aap yaha girls hostel ke aas-paas bhi dikhe toh..."and her big eyes seemed to complete her warning.

As she turned to leave, Naina entered the room, so she just smiled a little at naina, and patted her head, before leaving.

The friends somehow insisted Naina on eating, and they also ate a little, and then started planning on what all they will tell BC. The proofs, the conversations, the arguments, and just everything.

Their main task began at 0000hours as they had to reach BC's office without letting Major nair know anything. So hiding liking always, they silently made their way towards BC's cabin, where he was already waiting for them.

Soon enough, their discussion started where they showed the case file to BC, and told him about everything they had seen/heard in the day earlier. The phone conversations on Pooja's phone, and their doubt that it was Major Nair on the other side, then Major Nair's hatred towards them, the goons that they fought with...the boss they were talking about.

"Agar redbox me bhaiya ke medical reports hote toh vo us box ko kyu chupate Sir? Aur kaise? Vo reports toh bhaiya ke deadbody par autopsy ke the na? aur ek maara hua insane unhe kaise chupa skta hai?" Naina suddenly asked, as their discussion had come to an end almost.

And suddenly realization dawned upon everyone, Yes! This is it. Now, they know there is someone behind all this. BC for the first time realized that not only Rajveer but Navin too could be innocent. So they again started plotting dots and finding the links and connections between the two incidents.

How Navin was trapped, and how rajveer was framed? Who all were the people present then, and now also? Which officers, civilians, or any other people could profit from them ?

The web of lies and conspiracies seemed to grow, and they knew they had to get their hands dirty, to prove the two officers right.

"Crime of passion toh aur officers ne bhi kiya hai cadet singh. Lekin Rajveer ki ladai ko sirf ek crime of passion ka case na rehne de ki zimmedari main tumhe saupta hoon" BC told naina, as now they were looking at the bigger picture, where no one cared if the accusation of love between a teacher and his student were true or not. This discussion had already reflected upon the amount of respect they had for their teachers.

Chapter 4

BC knew that even though he held the highest position in the academy, it was not in his hands to help the cadets directly. But he couldn't let those innocent lives get ruined by the corruption and unjust practices prevailing in the system. "You have to be the change that you want to bring in!" was something that he always believed in. Rightly so, he decided on expelling the cadets from the academy. Following the rule book, they called it.

People like Major Nair and Lala were too happy to hear this, and they never questioned the disciplinary actions of BC. (Guys you can imagine the same scene where cadets were leaving the academy, but now with a twist that instead of leaving forever, they were leaving with a mission in their mind. Yes there was sadness on their face, but that was only for going away from each other and from their very dear KMA. So almost similar emotions could be imagined).

So it was decided that Pooja and Aalekh will go to Naina's place, while Ali will go to Yudi's place with him. Huda was still in academy as he had not recovered, and was allowed to stay only till he is in a condition to travel.( They were not declared traitors as shown in the show, just expelled)

The journey towards the bus stand was all silent, as they all were thinking what and how will they tell maa-baba. Same was the case with Yudi and Ali.

"Chalo guys, ab hume apne apne gharvalo ko bhi inform kar dena chahiye..." yudi says, looking at everyone, "aakhir kb tak unse chupa paaenge"

"Nahi yudi, ghar jaane se pehle hume us accident site ko ek baar check karlena chahiye...ho skta hai hume kuch information, koi saboot...umm...I mean...sir ke...tu samjh raha hai na?" Naina asked, her voice cold just like yudi's.

"Nahi naina, apun abhi vaha nahi jaa sakte...apun ko fir aana hoga, jab kisi ko hum par shaq na ho" aalekh advised

"haan naina, aalekh bhai sahi keh rahe hain...aur aap fikar mt kijiye. Hum aur yudi bhai...hume jaise hi mauka milega, hum vaha jald se jald jaaenge.." ali assured her

"aap sab apna khayal rakhiyega...aalekh bhai , hume phone kar dijiyega pahunchte hi..."ali tells them, shy of directly telling pooja to call. Aalekh just gives a weird expression, as he was surprised that ali still couldn't talk to pooja directly n freely. And also he hesitated in saying anything to Naina also.

"Tum dono bhi apna khayal rakhna..." Pooja says, trying to be a little jolly, "oye yudiye, ho sake toh huda ki khabar lete rehna...vo bechara vaha akela..." and she becomes sad thinking of Huda

"Nahi Pooja, huda akela kabhi nahi hoga...hum sab humesha rahenge uske sath..." Naina tells them," Guys, hum sab jald hi milenge...aur KMA lautenge bhi" and she puts her hand forward, asking them to join. They all keep their hands over it, giving each other the strength and hope.

With a heavy heart, they leave the place. The journey towards their home was almost silent, as they were busy fighting their own demons. Pooja was finding it difficult to live without Ali after so long, Aalekh was missing Neelu too, and Naina, well, she could only hope to see Rajveer someday. Soon, Pooja feel asleep in the bus on Aalekh's shoulder, and Naina followed the suite, as she fell asleep on his other shoulder. And he was happy to have two loving girls with him, for he had never experienced the feeling of being a protecting brother like this before. So with a content smile on his face, he too closed his eyes.

On the other hand, Yudi and Ali were going by Yudi's car, and both were missing their friends, Ali was worried about Pooja, and Yudi guessed it right..."relax bro, itna kyu pareshan ho rha hai?"

"Nahi Yudi bhai, aap jaante nahi unhe, vo na...unhe apne mobile k bina, hockey k bina...rehne ki adat nahi hai na..toh bas thodi fikar ho rhi thi.."

Yudi just smiled as Ali blushed, realizing that Yudi had not even mentioned Pooja's name.

Back at the academy, Huda was still unconscious, and Dr. Shalini was more than worried about it.

"oh ki hoya shalini puttar?" Suriji asked, seeing her a little aloof

"Suriji, cadet Huda...2 din hogye...usse abhi tak hosh nahi aaya...mujhe dar hai Suriji, kahi vo coma me na chala jae...aakhir jis waqt usse apne apno, apne dosto ki sabse zyada zarurat hai, yaha koi nahi hai uske pass. Aur usse hosh aate hi, usse bhi yaha se jaana hoga...main kaise usse btaugi ki...jis desh ka siphai banne vo yaha aaya tha, vo mauka hi usse cheen liya gya hai.."

"fikar na kar puttar, us khote nu jald hi hosh aajana hai...varna ye suriji hai na...uske dono kaano me sar kardena hai..."Suriji tried to lighten the moment.

Hours, days and weeks passed by. Life seemed to move on to different dimensions. No training, no early morning left-right-left, no lectures by major nair or by Lolita mam. And yes, they missed it. But the thing that kept them alive was their hunt for Rajveer Sir and for finding the real culprit.

They were progressing, though at a slow pace, in a confidential way. Keeping everything under wraps. No open discussions or planning ever happened. Coded letters to BC, and working according to what Lt. Chaubey told them through his random untraceable phone calls.

On the other hand, Lala's men had been unsuccessful in finding Rajveer. He was furious at his collegue, who had ordered Gunny for killing Rajveer, "Tumhara aadmi toh kabhi kisi mission me nakamyaab nahi hota na, toh fir is baar kya hua? Zameen kha gayi ya aasmaan nighal gya us Rajveer ko? "

"Kahi tumhara vo aadmi vo hamare sath koi khel toh nahi khel raha? Deshbakhti toh nahi jag gayi usme?"

"Mujhe tumhare excuses nahi, results chahiye jald se jald!"
