Ch 51 : His Maturity
"Kriya, come with me." Rey said to her and moved out of the room, leaving a confused kriya behind, not having any other option, she followed him silently.
Rey walked inside his brother's room where he found his sitting on the bed.
"Bhai, I need to talk to you." Rey said to shivam, gaining his attention. Shivam look at him, then at kriya who was standing behind rey. He narrowed his eyes, knowing why rey wants to talk to him.
"Kriya, can't you keep it just between us, for once?" Shivam questioned her in harsh tone, causing her to flinch back.
"Bhai, she is planning to divorce you so that you can get married again to the girl, who can give you a child." Rey interrupted and told his brother, without beating around the bush. Shivam look at his wife, not believing what he had heard. And to confirm his doubts, kriya nodded positively.
"You want your heir, and i can't give you that. I am sorry, shivam, but its better if i move out of your life-" Kriya whispered meekly, her voice broke.
"Bhai, whats is more important for you? Have your own child or your wife, whom you claim to love more than anything? Have you ever thought from her point of view? What she must be going through after knowing she can't be mother? I am not saying you are wrong, but you are not right either, bhai. You need to understand her too, be her support in this not taunt her about it. You both need to sit together and talk about this whole matter calmly instead of fighting. There are so many options you both can opt for, and you will be blessed with a child. Bhai, you want your own blood, right? Then go for surrogacy. There is nothing wrong in that, don't think about society. Think about your happiness, in that you and kriya, both will be happy." Rey said to his brother, who listen to him calmly. Grasping everything his brother had said to him, but in all this, he knew, he didn't want to lose kriya.
"I guess, my want for my child made me so blind that i completely forget about her and her feelings. Don't worry, Rey, now i will make everything alright. I promise." Shivam said to Rey while his gaze was fixed on his wife, who was shedding tears silently. He moved toward her and hugged her tightly.
"Thanks, Rey. And congratulations." Shivam smiled at his brother, who returned the smile and left the room, giving the couple much needed privacy.
Rey went downstairs, in search of his wife when he didn't found her in his parents room where she was supposed to be. He went in kitchen where he witness the most adorable sight, his mother was feeding her halwa she had made.
"Such a bhookkad you are, you just had lunch then milkshake and now this-" Rey said to his wife who glared at him.
"Rey, Its not good to comment like this when someone is eating. Where are your manners? And don't forget, I am pregnant." Taani retorted back.
"-now go and bring raw mangoes for me." Taani ordered him.
"Why do i have a feeling that you and your cravings are going drive me insane?"
"Because they are going to, son." Avantika laughed at her son who sulked hearing her where as taani laughed.
"Taani beta, finish this then take rest for a while. I'll be in my room, if you need anything." Avantika said to her, taani gave a small nod in return. After avantika left the kitchen, Rey moved to his wife who was seated on the kitchen slab, enjoying her favorite halwa.
"You are so cute." He slide his arms around her waist and gave a small peck on her lips. Taani smiled and fed him a spoonful of halwa.
"In evening we have an appointment with doctor, to make sure everything is fine with you and baby." Rey told her, taani nodded positively in response. After she was done with eating, Rey placed the empty bowl in sink and scooped her in his arms.
"Rey, put me down. All are at home, what will they think-" Taan gasped at the sudden gesture of her husband.
"I don't care." Rey mumbled and walked out of the kitchen with her in his arms. Taani shook her head at his antics and wrapped he arms around his neck.
He closed the door with his leg as he walked inside their bedroom.
"Now take some rest." Rey told her and made her lay down on the bed. Taani patted the space next to her, gesturing him to join her which he obliged happily. He removed his tee, leaving himself bare chest. He lay down next to her and pulled her in his arms by wrapping his arms around her.
She kissed his cheek and rested her head on his chest. Soon she slipped into sweet slumber, feeling content in his arms.

And one more thing happened today, A KR fan reported my story because i showed kriya as Rey's sister 🤣 and paired her with someone else. It was funny though, but made me little angry too. I have seen countless of FFs where writers has shown taani villain and mocked her, show her with other guy, do i go and report those FFs or tell the writers to not to show her character this way? Its writer's choice, on whom they want to write and if you're uncomfortable in reading such stories, then kindly ignore reading. Please.
And a suggestion to the one, who had reported my one FF, don't read my other works, you may get tired of reporting 😆
