Somewhere it's seen or felt as an unwritten doctrine to assume or stereotype the relationship between a DIL and a MIL as one of rivalry Cos of their need to protect their status as the most important woman to the man in between. Their hatred... So negatively charged towards each other and Appa cursing dude for the magnetic wield , his son-in - law possession of the most powerful weapon over his kozhandai ...the dude's most positive charge towards his wife..., the couple's combined physical energies and passion which is indeed the overarching theme of their marriage as the author puts it rightly.
