Today morning coffee with no morning raga. 😭

Last evening the indian community few miles away from our Neighbourhood raised a charity for a good cause by having young girls 12-17 sing classical Hindustani for an hour followed by another couple of hrs with light music and raag based hindi melodies. All these budding singers showed a lot of passion for their hobby and their Guruma has done a fabulous job with this awesome group.

One of the girls sang Bare Naina from Ra one and listening to her sing I absolutely fell in love with the song. What a pure voice quality !! Warmed my heart completely. God bless these girls.

And I as usual couldn't help drawing a connect to II's state of mind now 😆 with this song.

The lyrics of the first few stanza goes like this

A happening weekend.. First time contributing by volunteering help with cooking in the kitchen in Krishna temple kerala style here for Annadhan this noon.Around 250 people for lunch expected in the temple. Looking forward to the experience. Got to leave home in an hour.

Also shreya Goshal is in town for her concert tour today evening
Enjoying this musical weekend.

All the concentrated Indian communities are 18 to 20 miles East , west , and North from the majorly white Neighborhood where we live.
