Part 2

It's been a week, kriya has returned back in college and in their lives. Swayam told them that he was in contact with kriya all the while and at the charity event day he received her call stating she is in Mumbai and asked him to come and pick her up from airport. He also informed them as for now she is living with him and Taani in their house, until she didn't find a place to live.

Her arrival has affected all their lives, differently. Everyone in team was happy seeing her back except some souls.

Rey, who was so shocked seeing the girl who had played with his heart and feelings, who had used him for his popularity and fame, was back in his life. He was angry at her but her presence didn't affect him much the way he thought. He just wanted to keep distance from her and from that day he was ignoring her, despite of her attempts to talk to him.

But the thing which was making him restless and frustrated was Taani's ignorance. He wanted to apologize to her but she is not giving him any chance. He has noticed the bubbly and chirpy Taani has lost somewhere, who always had a beautiful smile on her face but now she hardly smiles and even she has distant herself from him and even others too as now she is not a part of the dance team because kriya has returned.

He doesn't know what is happening in his life. Whenever he thought that everything is settled down on its place then only something happened which destroy everything.

Sharon, she was not happy seeing kriya back, instead the hatred in her heart for her increased because she is the girl who made her best friend heartbroken, because of her Rey had left his dance and distant from his friends. It was so difficult for him to come back into his real self. Even though swayam had told her about the real reason behind kriya's behavior towards Rey but still she wasn't ready to forgive her because for her whatever reason was, it didn't give kriya any right to break anyone's heart.

Taani, she was already heartbroken after Rey's rejection and trying very hard to keep herself together but kriya's arrival made it worse. She felt as if her world had come crushing down once again when her brother told her about kriya's return. She thought what crime she had done that her Krishnaji is punishing her like this.

It's hurts when you know the love of your life doesn't love you but to see them with someone else is the worst feeling ever... but then she thought about Rey, who was suffering from so long, craving for his love and now he has got his love back and she should be happy for him. So for his happiness she hides her feelings in her heart because it is right for everyone.

She was nervous to face him after that fateful day and was expecting so much hatred in his eyes for her but what surprised her that, she didn't find any but still she starts keeping distance from him as much as possible so it could be easy for her.

Taani entered into classroom, she looked up and found whole room was full and there was rarely any seat has left. She looked around for empty chair when her gaze met with Rey who was already looking at her. His heated gaze stirred something in her and instantly she felt nervousness building up in her. She had never thought that one day she will feel like this around him and it's only her fault, her one mistake had ruined everything. She looked down feeling ashamed on herself.

"Taani.." she heard someone called her which made her looked around and found Kriya was waving her hand in her direction indicating towards the empty seat beside her. Taani walked there and sat down.

"Hii." Kriya greeted her with smile.

"Hii." She gave small smile in return.

Everyone got busy as professor had entered and starts explaining them. But Kriya was not concentrating on it. She was thinking about to talk to Taani as soon as this class would end. Taani is the only one with whom she can talk about this. From last one week she is staying with swayam & Taani and during this she has talked with her sometimes and knew Taani is really nice and humble girl just like her brother. They are not friends yet but she knew she can trust her.

During the whole lecture Rey was stealing glance at Taani waiting for her to look up for once but she didn't look up or in his direction. He sighed dejected and looked down.

At the same time, Taani looked up towards him. Don't know why but she was feeling his gaze on her but too nervous to look up. She knew he wanted to talk to her something but she doesn't want to make things more awkward between them and that's why ignoring him.

After class Taani was about to leave the room when kriya stopped her and asked her to talk to her so they left from there.

"What do you want to talk about?" Taani asked. They were in empty classroom. She was confused what Kriya wanted to talk with her and that too in alone.

"I need your help, Taani." kriya said, nervously.

"What help?" Taani asked, confused.

"Taani, you might don't know but I... I love Rey." Kriya told her and then the reality hit her hard. She was looking at kriya with blank eyes as she starts telling her everything how she took admission here and met with Rey and they fell in love but then she had to break his heart because her mother had asked her to choose between him and dance.

"How could you this to Rey?" Taani asked, angrily. Rey is the person who always helps others without any expectation, who had never hurt anyone by even mistake, then how can someone hurt the pure soul like him.

"I know, I had hurt him a lot but believe me Taani, par jitna hurt wo huye hai utna hi main bhi hui hoon. But I was helpless. My mom is my only family, Taani. How could I deny her?" Kriya said with tearful eyes, hoping that she would understand her.

"But you could tell him about this." Taani retorted.

"I wanted to tell him, Taani... but what would happen after that? Main to chali jati par wo mera intezaar karte rahte, kabhi move on nahi karte. Toh main kaise unki life kharab kar deti jabki main khud nahi janti thi ki life mein kabhi unse mil bhi paungi ya nahi. But shayad universeji chahte the ki main unse dobara milu." Kriya poured her heart in front of her as tears were streaming down her cheeks.

Taani's anger melted down seeing her condition as she could feel her pain. She was feeling miserable, realizing the fact that not only Rey but kriya was also suffering.

"Main aapki kya help kar sakti hoon?" Taani asked after sometime.

Kriya looked up at her, surprised. She was thinking now Taani also hate her for what she had done with Rey and won't help her but the hope in her builds up again.

"Taani, I wanted to tell him everything. I wanted to tell him the truth behind my behavior and how much I loved him and still I do love him and I've come back only for him but he is not ready to hear me once." Kriya said, desperately. There was pain in her voice because of Rey's ignorance.

Taani felt as if her heart has stopped beating for a moment as kriya's words sinked in. She is here for Rey... she is here to get him back. The pain in her heart keeps increasing only with each passing second. But Why is she feeling so hurt, when from the very first day she knew this will happen and somehow had convinced herself that Rey is not hers but now it's becoming difficult for her to bear.

"Taani, main swayam se help nahi mang sakti because I'm not comfortable to talk to him about this and Sharon, wo meri help nahi karegi because she hates me and there is no other one who is close to Rey, except YOU." Kriya spoke further which made Taani confused.

"Mujhe neha ne bataya tha, Rey ne hi tumhe weakings team ki sixth dancer banaya tha and tum Rey ke close bhi ho to maine socha tum meri help kar sakti ho, Rey ke close jane me." Kriya explained her sensing her confusion. She was looking at her expectantly.

Taani was shocked hearing what she said. Kriya is thinking that she is close to Rey but how she tells her that she can't help her, that she is not the person who supposes to help her because she herself is trying to stay away from him.

"But kriya, main toh.." she started but cut off by kriya.

"Please Taani, please help me. Don't say no. You're my only hope." Kriya pleaded as she holds her hands.

Taani didn't know what she says to her but she couldn't ignore what she is seeing in kriya's eyes. There was love and longing for Rey. She knew kriya is the girl whom Rey loved or maybe still loves and maybe her krishnaji want her to be the medium to reunite them.

"Ok. I'll help you." She said in low tone which made kriya happy and next moment she hugged her tightly.

"Thank you, Taani. Thank you so much." Kriya said as she broke the hug. Taani gave her small smile hiding her sadness.

"Ok. Right now I've to go but we discuss it later. Bye." Kriya said and left from there leaving a heartbroken Taani behind.

She slumped on the chair behind her, helplessly. Tears were streaming down from her cheeks as she was crying on her fate. She doesn't know what is happening with her and why, even she doesn't have any idea how she is going to help kriya but she knew one thing that Rey's happiness is with her only and no matter how much difficult it will be for her she'll do this not for kriya but for Rey.

"Rey, what happened? What are you doing here?" Sharon asked him standing beside him. She was passing by RH when she noticed him sitting there alone, lost in his own world so she entered in. She is observing him from many days. Something is bothering him so much and she was sure that's not because of kriya only, there is something else too, that he is hiding.

"No.. nothing." Rey replied coming out of his thoughts as he gave her small smile. Sharon sighed and sat beside him on the floor.

"Rey, don't lie to me. I know you inside out and also that something is bothering you so much, so just tell me.. what it is?" She said looking into his eyes. She wanted him to share with her whatever he's feeling but she knew he'll not. He is like this only. He helps everyone whenever they are in any problem... be it his friends or not but when it comes to him, he always hide his problem from them and this is the thing which always make her worried for him.

"There is nothing, Sharon. Trust me." He replied with smile to assure her. She sighed at him.

"Ok fine. But you know that you can share with me... anything... anytime." she said as she kept her hand on his hand. Rey nodded.

"I've to go as there is some work to do. Bye." He said and left from there not wanted to face his best friend's interrogation more.

"I wish Rey, I really wish that someone will come into your life, who understands you, with whom you can share everything, who will heal your broken heart and loves you unconditionally." She prayed for her best friend.

Taani was walking in corridor without any idea where she is going as she was thinking about her conversation with kriya. She knew that Kriya is really nice girl and perfect for Rey but don't know how she will help her.

Suddenly, she gasped when she bumped into someone and immediately closed her eyes in fear to touch the floor and get hurt but she didn't feel any pain and then realized that she didn't even touch the ground as someone has held her in their arms. She opened her eyes slowly and the sight made her heart stop beating for a moment. The only word came out from her mouth was..

"Rey"

Part 3

Rey was looking at the girl in his arms whose eyes were closed in fear, looking as innocent as she is. He felt his heart starts beating after so many days. Reason was unknown to him but he was feeling calmed having her so close to him.

She opened her eyes and they went wide when she saw him. He stared at her amused that how her face showed different expressions in just some moments, first she's scared face thinking she might be fall, then there was relief sensing someone has held her and now she has a shock written on her face seeing him. Her every expression makes her cuter than she already is, but her eyes are the most beautiful part of her face that shows her soul and true feelings. He always feel to getting lost in those beautiful hazel brown orbs like right now which were staring back in his, with so much innocence.

He snapped back into his senses when she averted her gaze and wriggled in his arms to get freed herself. He made her stands straight. An awkward silence prevailed between them.

"I'm sorry... I didn't see you coming." Both apologized at the same time and looked at each other. A small smile formed on their lips. This is first time after that fateful day he has seen a smile on her face.

She starts looking around feeling nervous but he was looking at her only and could see her nervousness.

Suddenly, he remembered something and grabbed her wrist and pulled her with him inside the FE and closed the door. She looked up at him shocked with his sudden act.

"I want to talk to you." He said when he saw her questioning stare. This made her heartbeat raised in fear that what he wanted to talk now but his next words taken her back.

"I'm sorry, Taani." He apologized sincerely. She looked at him confused.

"For that day..." he trailed looking her confusion.

"I behaved so inhuman with you and hurt you so much with my cruel words. I've no right to behave with you like this, I'm really sorry, Taani." he said with guilt and she could see it in his eyes but it pained her heart seeing him like this.

"No, Rey, you didn't do anything wrong. It has to be me who should be sorry for hurting you. I'm sorry." She said in low and guilt ridden tone, looking down, hasn't have courage to look into his eyes.

"No, Taani, please don't say sorry. You just said what you felt but me.." he started but she cut him off.

"Bewkoofi thi meri... jo pata nahi kya-kya soch liya, but ab aisi galti dobara nahi hogi... I promise... main apko kabhi pareshan nahi karungi ab..." she said assuring him so that he won't feel guilty.

Rey was shocked when she said her feeling for him was her mistake. Don't know why but he felt hurt as if someone has pierced his heart with sharp knife. He felt dejected.

He thought...Doesn't he deserve happiness in his life? Is he that bad?

"Aur ab toh kriya wapas aa gayi hai toh, apko mujhe dance sikhane ke liye jhelna bhi nahi padega." She added further. It hurts her every time whenever she thought about kriya but she can't be a selfish.

Suddenly, his eyes were red with fury as he felt anger building up within him replacing the hurt which he was feeling a moment ago. He was confused why he is so angry... because she takes kriya's name or because of remembering her betrayal or because of Taani's sudden change, calling her feelings for him her mistake.

Somewhere deep down in his heart he knew the reason but too scared to accept it... scared for being hurt and heartbroken again and anger is the only way to hide his real emotions from everyone.

"Listen to me carefully, Taani because I'm not going to repeat it again... you're no one to comment on me and kriya or whatever we had in past...so stay out of it." He snapped at her, angrily. She got scared seeing him angry and flinched back at his sharp words.

"Sorry." She whispered in low tone as tears welled up in her eyes.

He came back into his senses seeing her teary eyes and guilt crept in his heart for being the reason of her tears again but before he could do anything she ran out of there.

"Damn it." he punched his fist on wall realizing he has ruined everything again.

-One week later-

Taani was in her room after dinner. She was standing near her cupboard which had her 'Rey corner' with his picture in her hands. A small smile formed on her lips seeing him smiling in it, she could see his smile reaching to his eyes but then her smile faded realizing she had never seen him smiling like this from so long. She wants him to be happy, to smile with whole heart. She knew his happiness lies with Kriya but he doesn't want her to interfere in his personal life and that's why she is keeping distance from him but it's getting hard for her.

It's been some days they have talked with each other but it's felt like so many years. She is missing him, badly... being near him, him shouting at her, him teaching her dance, him being angry whenever she did any mistake, she is missing everything about him. She knew he is in front of her eyes but still so far from her and she can't do anything. A lone tear escaped from her eyes.

She startled with sudden loud voice and the picture of his dropped from her hands.

"Taani... IDEA..." she looked towards a door where kriya was standing with bright smile as she said loudly in excited tone.

Taani was too numb to process what is happening but then her eyes went wide realizing what she was doing. She looked down at floor where his picture was lying and again at kriya who was now looking at her with confusion.

She bent down, picking up the picture she shoved it in cupboard and closed it hurriedly. She turned towards kriya after wiping her tears, with smile hoping she hadn't seen anything.

Kriya looked at her suspiciously as she saw that she hid something and her tears also.

"Are you alright, Taani?" she asked concerned.

"Y.. yes... I'm fine." Taani replied.

"Sure..? kriya asked again. Taani nodded at her with smile on her face.

"Okay." Kriya didn't push this topic further thinking maybe she doesn't like her interfering in her life.

"Aap kuch kah rahe the, kriya?" Taani asked her to change the topic.

"Yeah... wo I've thought something to get close to Rey, and I need your help in it." Kriya answered as she looked at Taani, hopefully.

Taani felt her heart dropped hearing about Rey but then nodded, knowing she has to help her.

Kriya entered into the guest room which is currently hers and lay down on bed. There was a content smile on her lips after talking to Taani.

She remembered how she asked Taani to help her and as she promised, she helped her a lot. Because of her only, she got successful to talk to Rey and made him understand her situation and now he is not angry and had forgiven her but other than that there is no improvement between them. He had accepted her as a friend who is part of dance team too but still he doesn't talk to her much like before as if she is some stranger to him.

But still Taani is doing her best to help her and after talking to her today, she was sure everything will be alright soon between her and Rey.

"Taani, we should think about it one more time to take his help. He is not the right person." Kriya said to her as she stopped her to move further.

"I know, kriya, you all thinks that he is not a good person but trust me, he has changed and genuinely wants to start a new fresh." Taani reassured her because she knew at this moment only he can help them.

"Ok, fine. If you think so, then we will do it." kriya replied with small smile and both walked towards a classroom.

Rey was walking in the corridor, lost in his thoughts. The only thing or should say the only person has occupied his thoughts is...Taani. It's been a while they did talk with each other properly and all this because of him... his anger always made him blind and in that he does the things he should never done that.

He was missing her... her being around him all the time, her innocent non-stop talks, her doing silly mistakes and then asking for apology in the cutest way. Those were the best days of his life when with her presence around him made him forgot every problem of his life but now he was feeling messed up within himself and because of this he couldn't able to concentrate on anything.

Suddenly his eyes caught something unusual which made him stop in his track. He frowned at the sight in front of him.

Kriya was talking with Shivam and that too while laughing in between.

How much he knew, along with everyone in gang, kriya also hates shivam as she knew what he had done with them, then why she is talking to him and that too this friendly. His brows knitted in confusion that what happened suddenly, but then he shrugged it as he knew kriya is smart enough that she won't fall into shivam's charm and walked away from there.

As Rey left from there, kriya looked at his retreating back with fallen face as this plan had also failed.

Taani walked over her who was standing behind the pillar as she also noticed what just happened.

"Hamara yeh plan bhi flop ho gaya... Maine toh socha tha wo mujhe kisi aur ke saath dekh ke jealous feel karenge aur apne dil ki baat kah denge aur fir sab kuch theek ho jayega but he didn't even react and walked away." Kriya said in defeated tone, feeling hurt.

"Kriya, it's okay... ho sakta hai unhone notice hi na kiya ho apko." Taani kept her hand on her shoulder as she tried to console her.

"Don't worry, hum fir se try karenge. Huh..?" Taani boost up her hope.

"Okay." She replied.

Taani smiled at her and then she looked at shivam who looked at her with the expression which was telling he is disappointed with her and angry too, and walked away from there. He wasn't happy with their plan at the first place and she knew the reason but for her only, he helped them. But now, she has to give so many explanations to him as she knew it's become more difficult to make him understand now.
