I became a fan of your writing all over again after reading this chapter! How well you have written Sujata's thoughts, emotions and inner struggles. It is true, Sujata's mistakes here cannot undermine what she has done for Khushi all her life. It is important to give your adult kids the right over their own lives. But it's easier said than done sometimes. I'm glad however that she is finally giving Arnav a chance.

The other thing I loved about this chapter is how well you have written Shashi's support for Sujata. And how can I forget Arian Foster. Looking forward to what you have in stock for Anita...

Ah.. the mystery man turned out to be a guy with extremely sharp reflexes, always managing to close his eyes before Anita turned and saw them open. Arian Foster he is! Son of Arnav Foster I presume. Or is it just the last name that you used? Either way, that was a nice touch Jenny! What is going to happen in the remaining one hour now? At the end of their journey, begins the journey of Anian I guess.

Good that Anita finally had a chance to let out all her pent up miseries in the form of tears, though she is on a plane and had to sneak from her neighbour doing so. 😊

The curious case of Sujatha... You know, initially with the way she was treating Khushi, I was so very mad at her. But as time passed and I began to see things in a wider perspective, I kind of understood where she is coming from. Yes, she was too harsh on khushi but she was being harsh on herself too. I think whatever happened with her daughter, she sees that as her failure. Her anger and disappointment are as much directed at herself as at Khushi. And she shut herself off from everyone and everything not knowing how to take that failure. With Navin, I guess he is less emotional and more rational like most dads are, which kept him vigilant. He also happened to sense the bond that Arnav and Khushi shared from time to time which assured him that her daughter is in safe hands, despite what little they know of the man. That is what any parent, even Sujata, would want for their children, isn't it? For them to be happy safe and content in their marriage. According to Sujata, Arnav is not the person that can give Khushi that. And she was not given, or maybe she was not willing to take, anything that could change her mind.

First law of motion says that any object in a state of motion continues to be the same until an external force is applied to it. I think something like this is applicable to what Sujata is going through here too. A trigger. A trigger is what she needs. Just like hearing Aman's mom speak is the trigger for Khushi to let go of everyone else's opinions and give in completely into her love for Arnav.

Arnav and Khushi's decision to marry did it for Sujata. Because that is what she has been trying to prevent from happening all along. That is why she was being harsh on her, thinking that will make Khushi come back to her leaving Arnav. And now that the marriage is happening, there is nothing she could do. So she let her guards down, let her tears flow. Most of the times, there is nothing more cathartic than giving an outlet to your inner turmoil in the form of tears. More so if it is in the arms of the person you love.

This chapter was all about Navin and Sujata for me. We got to see a little into their past, their love, and how they built their family. Loved how Navin pacified Sujata, how he wanted her to keep an open mind and heart with regards to Arnav. So yeah, even before this update, I was not as mad at Sujata as I was a few updates ago but now I feel for her. For a mother, missing to see her daughter as a bride and not witnessing her marriage sucks. But yeah, as Astha suggested, they can pull their ears and get them married all over again in the traditional way. The bride and groom would only be more than willing of course. 😃

Arnav's barely contained happiness that shone through his eyes, Sujata complimenting Khushi, Khushi crying happy tears that her mother returned to her, Arnav trying to lighten the situation, Arnav wishing Sujata and she responding in a non-negative way... Just beautiful.

The champagne tasting and Khushi's I'll get back to you is just so ☺️
