Clearing your confusion, I guess you have skipped the part where Araav-AR son felt guilty about revealing the fact that he was missing his life back in California, it was stated there that he had ADHD problem.

ADHD is a kind of disorder which effect people's life in various way. Also it have different impact on different people. An ADHD victim is usually hyperactive, cannot concentrate on one thing until they absolutely love it and seeks attention from people.

Due to this problem of Araav, AR particularly Riddhima decided to go back to their home town, so that their son is able to get family attention. And that's way Armaan asked Araav before planning another child because he doesn't want him to feel left out.
