Ranjan called II first thing in the morning, she slept in the divan in her room, Akka was feeding the baby so she took it
"Appa has just gone Uncle, we wont know until 11 or Noon when the docs visit."
"I wanted to go see" Ranjan explained
"I think they have some odd visitor hours, let me talk to Amma and get back to you" Vandu said
"How is my family member" Ranjan chuckled
"Kaun Shravu?" Vandu asked
"Yes yes... him too," Ranjan smiled
"Aapki DIL SOTI rehti hai, raat ko sofa mein so gayi, Samyukta was here, she didnt even say bye to her" Vandu laughed
"is she OK?" Ranjan asked
"Are u kidding, she played so much with both kids she was too tired I think" Vandu smiled
"She wanted to go back to work today, R&B says she should just stay put" Ranjan explained
"Nahi baba... main usko office ka advice doongi mujhe kha jaayegi. She is always hyper and anxious" Vandu relayed Ranjan's thoughts
Ranjan sighed...
"I will try telling her Uncle, but dont hold ur breath" Vandu said
Baldie moaned as Vandu shifted...
"Is the lil boss awake?" Ranjan asked
"Uncle u shud ask, is he asleep? SOTA hi nahi hai" Vandu cried
"He must know his maasi is there" Ranjan connected everything to his gudiya
"Ofcourse he does, yesterday she talks non stop for 20 minutes, he is just staring at her, kicking his arms and legs, she stops to drink water,
he started moaning, and then when she began speaking again he was quiet again, he knows everything Uncle, I am already dreading 2 saal ka hoyega to Ishita uske saath milkar kya karegi" Vandu gushed
"She will have her own lil one year old too" Ranjan competed
"Arey haan... she is very dangerous, I feel bad for ur grandkid already" Vandu chuckled
Ranjan nodded smiling widely, he imagined his gudiya and the lil gudiya's antics
Amma gave Akka her coffee
Pulled the blanket over II 's now filling out body, soothed her head, she smiled as she noticed her daughter still wearing her choora
She sat down by her, II woke groggily, and then shut her eyes back up again
"Let her sleep some more ma" Vandu cooed
"I know" Amma nodded
"I have never been able to focus completely on you two" Amma choked up

Baldie was done feeding, he paused,ofcourse he was. tried to follow the sound of Amma's voice, shaking his arms and legs like he was climbing altitude like an airplane,
.. he heard another voice in the room that sounded so much like his ring master... he was sure she had early morning mischief plans for him
Sigh!! she is so much fun to just listen to... she talks like the... umm... well he didnt know what he could compare the tall nose ring wearing girl to, but she was the best
Except when she held that fat lumpy girl... the lil sumo wrestler that punched him last night...
She was cute though in that halter top, he thought...
"Ofcourse you have" Akka said firmly
"She is pregnant, she doesnt have a MIL and I am around, 5 kms away, but havent been able to have her come stay and cook for her, take care of her" Amma sighed
"Amma she is well taken care of" Vandu reassured
"she doesnt ask me, but I bet she feels she could be pampered, paavam last night, she did two loads of laundry, cleaned Periappa's room, cleaned out the veggie bins in the frig, she cannot sit still" Amma sighed
"Amma dont worry about her, u have a lot on ur plate"
"Tanjore chithappa called me and told me, u have Janaki Athai in Delhi why shud I or Coimbatore brother visit?"
"I mean Periappa is the eldest in their family, he is not APPA'S CHILD" Amma ranted "Oru manidabimaname illaye" (they dont have any humanity left)
"I have the same fate as urs Ambala manni told me "I wish we were in Delhi Cantt, I CAN BABY SIT BALDIE when u guys want to go watch a movie or something" Vandu hissed
"I wanted to smack her Amma, I mean they are her in laws too u know" Akka was furious
"Is Mukund still taking Makarand with him to Ambala for Deepavali?" Amma asked shocked
"Ofcourse he will, Bhallas are so wealthy, if Makarand marries Manya,
he catapults himself to the big league, Manni will get invited to Malcha Marg, she will stay there only when she visits Delhi" Akka vented
"Manya was with that man Vikram, she never married him" Amma reminded her daughter
"Makarand seems very sweet ma, I hope it works out for her" Akka sighed
"Ishita never talks much about Manya, only Samyukta" Amma nodded
"She is very possessive of R&B" Vandu cackled cynically "As if Ishita is out to destroy R&B"
"Appa asked me last night "WHY did she come back alone, why did he send her back with his father, what is HIS responsibility? Isnt it his child too? HIS wife is pregnant" Amma spoke softly
"Appa hates him. Period. Enna sonnalum Appa manasa maathikka maata" (he wont change his mind) Ask him to call R&B every day and haunt him to move back to Delhi" Akka challenged
"Appa is not wrong, think about it... a girl needs her husband most when she is pregnant" Amma sighed
"JUST being there is not enough, Bala was here... but every day sandai pottom (we fought). He probably babies her when she goes to Paris." Akka tried to mask her envy
II snored deeply
"I hope she stays until Periappa comes home"
"What are they suspecting?" Akka asked softly
Amma didnt answer...
"Its unimaginable to me to come to this house and not find him Amma" Vandu sobbed softly
Amma got up and picked up the baby and kissed him soundly, he cooed, and furiously kicked his feet and arms and gave Amma a sideways smile, thinking
it was his ring master... they were tall and pretty... so ya... he was confused :P
"Azhaade, lets see what the doctors say" Amma patted her shoulder,
"he has not had one good day in his life kanna... think about it, he cant even tell us if he is in pain,
imagine living 73 years that way. unable to say or sense anything" Amma spoke deeply
"This is not a good time ma... she wants Periappa to see her child, these days who has second or third, they both are so crazy busy with their careers and
trans continental life, this is probably it for her, I hope Periappa can see her child" Akka spoke somberly
R&B called his wife to protest Akka's "plans".. like he was clairvoyant
