Part-5:

Swara moved from that place not able to withstand the depression of her heart. The more she saw of ragini, her blood boiled whenever she was reminded of her days with laksh. She was trying not to think abt those days, but omi had turned it on her mind now. She ran to the terrace because she knew that sanskaar would be in the room. She didn't want to make him feel bad. It was really heart wrenching for her. "If what happened hadn't happened, the whole scenario would have been different, kash..." she cursed herself for trusting ragini so blindly. If she hadn't been so blind in her faith abt ragini, today everyone would have been happy. She would have made ragini come out of her obsession if she had known before. If only..." she sensed a hand on her shoulder. She turned to back to see that it was sanskaar. She quickly wiped her tears.

Sanskaar: "ufff, I kind of guessed that u would be crying by now, and see I was right." And he handed over his kerchief.

Sa(sanskaar): "do u guys have it in ur blood? I mean, both u sisters seem to have a water tank in your eyes. Looks like I have to buy another new set of kerchief." And he winked at her, in an attempt to make her smile. Swara gave a small smile at his sentence.

Sa: "and now am sincerely sorry."

Swara was confused.

S(swara): "why are you being sorry?"

Sa: "omi came here rgt?"

Swara slowly nodded her head. She was slowly getting the grasp of the incidents.

S: "what? Did u make him come here?" with a total disbelief.

Sa: "swara, keep your voice down. Ragini might hear it. if she hears, our whole plan will flop. Yeah I was the one who made him come here." In a whispering husky voice.

Swara was utterly shocked.

S: "why would u do that sanskaar? I mean what was the need for it?"

Sa: "cauz swara, I don't think we have a better way than this. When I told the truth to omi, he literally went into a shock. It took time for him to accept it. He was too upset about what had happened. And felt bad that he couldn't be with laksh when he was going through so much bad time. I too dint expect that he would agree to help us. Just think swara, we have been trying to bring out ragini's truth but she has played her game so very well that nobody wants to hear even a word against her. The only way is to gain proof and to plant doubt in laksh's mind."

S: "what I don't understand is what will omi be able to do? And the thing of proof, we don't have any, so how will it emerge?"

Sa: "yah, u r right swara, we don't have any proof but that doesn't mean there aren't any proofs. If there is any, we have to make it emerge and to make it happen this is the best way."

Scene shifts to the park: omi and laksh

O: "lucky, why did u drag me like this??!"

L: "so that, u wouldn't speak rubbish anymore than that."

O: "what do u mean by rubbish?" with stealth glance which laksh didn't notice.

L: "the one which u were spouting there."

O: "lucky, since when did u learn to speak like this? I mean don't beat around the bush. Tell it directly yaar, I seriously don't understand."

L: "okay." With a pause, he closed his eyes "I married ragini and not swara." With a stress on the last word.

Even though omi already knew the truth through sanskaar, it still hurt him when laksh said it like that. He had to maintain his composure. He had to act as if this was the first time he was hearing it. He hated the fact that he was lying to his best buddy, but he had to.

O: "what??? Stop joking yaar. It has always been me who would make fun at unnecessary contexts, but today you seem to do so." Shaking his head.

L: "I am telling the truth only omi. Try to accept it as soon as possible."

L: "swara betrayed me and left me on the marriage day and I had to marry ragini so as to save her."

O: "what swara betrayed u? Common lucky, there has to be some misunderstanding somewhere."

L: "it really did happen. She broke my heart into pieces and now is married to my brother" with a smile indicating pain and sarcasm. And he narrated to omi the whole incidents right from the hotel incident.

Omi acted like he was in a total disbelief.

O: "I just can't believe it lucky. I mean, is this the swara, I knew from before? And lucky, are u okay?"

L: "hmmm, pata nahi yaar. I am just dying each day."

O: "buddy" and kept his hand on laksh's shoulder, with tears in his eyes.

Three hours later:

Ragini was having a severe headache. It all began after omi left. She just wanted to yell at him for having called swara as laksh's wife, but laksh had intervened and took him out. She was on her way to parineeta's room to get a tablet for her headache as it was becoming severe. At that time when she crossed swara and Sanskaar's room, she heard them talking. She stopped to eavesdrop when she heard her name in their convo.

Sa: "we have to do this swara and am sure ragini will get caught after this"

S: "how can u be so sure sanskaar? I just don't know! How are we going to find something which is not there?"

Ragini was perplexed. Her pulse rate increased due to fear. "What are these two talking abt? Are they planning to reveal my truth again? "She started sweating. She then had a second thought "no, whatever they might try, they won't get any proof against me"

S: "unless we have any solid proof, we can't do the mistake of revealing ragini's truth again in front of the family sanskaar."

Sa: "but swara, there has to be something. Even a master criminal makes a mistake, so like that ragini would also have done mistakes in covering up the truth. We have to find if there is any."

Swara nodded her head and looked sideways whether ragini was still standing.

Sa: "swara but make sure that ragini doesn't finds out abt this plan of ours." As he had his back towards the door, he was at leisure in trying to hide his smile.

Then swara made a gesture that ragini had gone away.

They both did a hi-fi.

Sa: "now, ragini herself will lead us to the proof. Swara, u know what u have to do right?"

S: "yes sanskaar. We have to make our move well, so that she would be caught unaware in her web of lies."

And they smiled successfully that their plan had started in a good way.

Part-6:

Laksh was in a confused state. Omi's words were reverberating in his mind. He couldn't even think of a possibility of what omi had said. "No way, ragini is the one who is telling the truth. My eyes can't lie. I saw the video in which swara herself accepted everything."

Some minutes before:'

L: "okay omi, I better be going. Bye."

O: "but lucky, I still can't believe that swara betrayed u! I mean she had sent u the video, but I don't know why I still feel that it is artificial."

L: "omi, that's because you don't know the real swara. She is not the one u know."

O: "really lucky. So do u think that u know her really well?"

L: "what are you trying to say omi? Are you meaning that swara is dudh ka dulha and ragini is the one who did all that?"

O: "arey yaar, calm down. When did I ever tell that? I am just saying that, there might be something than what meets the eye. There is a famous proverb yaar, "sometimes what u see can be deceptive, sometimes what u hear can be deceptive, but the thing which can assure u of truth is only the thorough investigation of the whole matter." This is what I am trying to say. So may be or may not be swara is innocent amidst all this."

L: "stop confusing me omi. Swara herself clarified and accepted that whatever she said in the video was true. And ..." laksh was overwhelmed with emotions when he recalled those events when swara had come to his house after the misplaced marriage.

O: "What I wanted to say was, as far as I know, swara is someone who doesn't say what she thinks directly. So I thought there might be some other reason and nothing else because everything feels so unreal. And she has been repeating this too many times."

L: "no omi. She is just acting. She betrayed me in the name of love and now is all set to destroy me life. That's it. I hate her and nothing else."

O: "If u really want to move on, clarify on what u want to believe and act upon. You just can't be wasting your life on hating her right? There are always two sides to a problem yaar. Try to find if seriously there is something more than what meets the eye. You seem so unreal to me lucky. The now you, is not someone who I know or knew. It's your life you have to decide. Okay lucky lets end this topic here."

Laksh's mind was totally in turmoil. Omi's words were starting to have effect on him. He doubted his own belief now. May be or may not be..."

As per their plan, they were waiting for ragini to make the first move. They were expecting her to do something so that some kind of proof will evolve. But she was silent. So they came to a conclusion that may be there is no proof at all.

S: "looks like, our plan has failed. As far as I noticed she is just being worried and nothing else. If there was something really she would be doing something by now na."

Sanskaar was in a deep thought. He couldn't believe that they were meeting another dead end. At that time he received a call. It was omi.

Sa: "yes omi, tell me."

...

Sa: "okay I ll meet you there."

Sa: "swara, I have to go out to meet omi. So am leaving now. I will be back asap."

Swara nodded her head.

Ragini was unable to relax. After hearing the conversation between swara and sanskaar, she was slightly scared. If they would collect any evidence then nothing could help her, not even her good girl image. She clearly knew that there was this one particular evidence which could turn against her. It was the SD card which swara had used when she made sanskaar speak the truth. She had not even told sanskaar about this. She was dying to talk to her dadi. Other than her only her dadi knew about it. She had to make sure that it was safe. As there was no one at home, she could get caught by sanskaar or swara. She had to talk to her dadi maa before laksh came home. At that moment she saw sanskaar going out. She thought that it was her moment. When she came down to check upon what swara was doing, she saw her going into the storeroom. She quietly went behind her and locked the store room from outside. If swara eavesdropped on her then everything would go wrong. She couldn't afford any more mistakes. To be on the safer side, if swara would bang on the door, she turned on music in the hall. She then went to her room to talk to her dadi. But it was her dad who picked the phone up.

Swara went into the store room to take oil packet. She decided to cook for dinner as ragini was not leaving her room. After taking the packet when she turned, she treaded upon a sack which made her fall making the oil packet fall down and burst open. "ahh, cha" now she had to clean it as soon as possible so that the oil doesn't spoil anything else. When she tried opening the door, she couldn't. She then figured that someone had locked from outside. She banged on the door, but no use. She called out to ragini but she couldn't hear any other sound of approaching. She didn't even have her phone with her. So that meant she will have to wait until sanskaar returned home. She got an idea. She opened the window to give voice to watchman. But he was also not in sight. So she decided to wait. Before she could do anything the oil had begun to spread.

The watchman who was in duty as proxy had the habit of smoking. Rajesh bhaiyaa had strictly told him not to smoke during duty hours as maheshwaris wouldn't like that. But he couldn't resist himself. So he went to the nearby shop to get it, so that at least he could have it once everyone slept. he returned soon so that no one would notice his absence. Having the packet made it impossible for him to resist the urge. He finally decided to have a smoke. So he went a little inside near the lawn so that no one would notice him. he had only taken two puffs when he heard the car honk. He in a hurry didn't know what to do now. He saw a nearby window open and then he chucked the cigarette butt in a hurry through the window without even thinking twice. It was laksh who had returned home.

It all happened so fast. The cigarette butt which the watchman had thrown through was the store room's window. It fell on the oil which had started to spread. The nearby curtain caught on fire. Since swara was standing near the door, she didn't notice that. Only after a moment she sensed smoke. By that time two big curtains and the shelf curtain had got on fire. She was shocked. She didn't know how it all happened. She didn't know what to do. She started banging on the door for help.

Laksh received a call when he was about to enter the house. It was his secretary. He spoke with him for 2 mins. When he entered the house he could hear the loud devotional music. He thought why it was on full sound and called out for ragini but she nowhere in sight. The moment he stopped the music he could hear the banging of the door. He could understand where it was coming from. He then sensed smoke was coming from the storeroom which was behind the stairs. He then realized that the noise was coming from there. Then he recognized swara's voice crying for help. The moment he heard her helpless voice, his whole body shook realizing the fact that she was stuck in fire.

"SWARA..." he screamed. He only knew that he had to rescue her at all costs. He ran towards the store room.

Bgm: darmiyaan.

Lafzon se jot ha pare

He noticed that the door was locked from outside. But even after that he couldn't open it. The door was stuck due to fire. He burst it open by dashing against it.

By the noise of his screaming ragini came out of room only to find laksh running towards the burning store room.

The curtains near by the door were on fire shielding the way. Laksh didn't mind anything and just went past it searching for swara.

Rishte ko kya mod doon

Naata yeh abb tod doon

Ya phir yun hi chod doon, darmiyaan...

Due to the fire, the plastic dabbas had melted and the masala items too aggravated the fire making swara faint due to the strong incense. She was lying near the rice sacks which hadn't yet started to catch fire.

He rushed to her to make sure that she was okay. He shook her and checked her pulse. Seeing her lying down speechless like that brought tears to his eyes. He took her in his arms, held her close to his chest and rushed to the exit. He wanted to make sure that she was safe.

Benaam rishta woh...

Benaam rishta woh, bechain karta jo

Ho naa..sake jo bayaan, darmiyaan...

The watchman informed that he had already called the fire service and ambulance. Laksh signaled ragini to bring some water. He couldn't be at peace until he would see swara okay. He splashed water over swara's face and slapped her cheeks to make her awake. Swara then coughed and opened her eyes lightly. Laksh was relieved to see her open her eyes and hugged her in relief.

When sanskaar reached home, he could see that something was happening in the house and the watchman was not at the gate. He rushed as he was feeling something terrible. The moment he reached his eyes searched for swara. He saw ragini stand near the steps. He saw the watchman standing beside her.

He sensed that swara might be the one who was in danger and rushed only to find laksh hugging swara. He rushed to swara, who was lying down.

Sa: "what happened?? Is she okay?."

Laksh told him what had happened.

The fire service reached first, and then the ambulance came. On hearing the ambulance, laksh once again carried swara, but this time sanskaar stopped him and told that he could carry her. Laksh then had to hand over swara to sanskaar, at that time he noticed the ring on swara's hand, their engagement ring.

He felt a pang of pain. He held on to her hand for some seconds. But as sanskaar moved forward, he had to let go of her hand. "She still wearing this" was the only thing which made sense at that time. He was just staring at the doorway even after sanskaar had gone with swara to the hospital.

part 7:

swara was given some medicine by which she regained her consciousness totally. She was totally alright once she was up. She found sanskaar sitting beside her.

Sa: "are u okay, swara?" he had been so much worried abt her.

S: "yup, am alright." he let out a sigh when she said that.

Sa: "what did actually happen there swara? How did u get caught in the fire? Couldn't u be more careful? If anything bad had happened, what ...what would I say to dida and ur mom?" he couldn't say that what he would do if anything untoward had happened to her.

S: "sanskaar calm down. Am okay now. Did u inform maa and dida?"

Sa: "yes and I think they would be on their way now."

S: "it is just a small thing."

Sa: "okay now tell me how did you get yourself trapped in the fire?"

S: "to be honest, I don't know. I went inside to take oil and..." she explained all to sanskaar. She was quizzed abt who would have locked the door from outside or how the hell the fire had started. There was only one option that ragini would have done it as there was no one at home at that time, but she didn't know whether she would try to kill her once again. As of now, she was assured that ragini can do anything.

As she was recollecting what had happened she came to the part where she had opened her eyes to be found in laksh's arms, and the feeling of being protected when he hugged her. but she didn't divulge into these details to sanskaar. She just finished to the part when she fainted.

The door opened at that time. It was maa and dida.

At MM:

Laksh was roaming around like a lost puppy. He couldn't be at ease. He was staring at his phone. He went to his call list to call sanskaar but came out without making a call. he wanted to go to the hospital, but he didn't also at the same time. He was just pacing up and down in the hall way.

Ragini was also equally terrified, coz she was the one who had locked the room from outside. She hadn't known that this kind of mishap would happen. She had locked the room just to escape from swara, but things had taken a worse turn. She couldn't see laksh thinking abt swara. He had hugged her the moment he found her she was alright. it made her cry. It was like whatever she would do, he would never forget swara. from the moment he had come home, he hadn't spoken a word to her. All he did was worry abt swara. This made her hate swara. She couldn't help it. The thought that if swara had never come into her life, may be laksh would have loved her. This made the hatred feeling increase.

She was determined not to lose to swara. She had spoken with her dadi. She told her that she would go to badi to take the SD card. After personally destroying it only, she would feel at peace.

AT THE HOSPITAL:

All the three Bose ladies were embodiment of respect in his point of view. He respected all three of them a lot. Watching them laugh was like a treat for him. Seeing swara, smiling happily like this made him also happy. He decided that he would leave for home. He thought that swara might want to be with her family alone. So he decided that he would go home and come in the morning to discharge her. he bid goodnight to them and left for home.

Laksh finally decided that he would go to hospital in person to check on swara. When he came out, he saw sanskaar arriving in a taxi. He couldn't stop himself from asking him.

Laksh: "how is swara? Is she alright now? Why have you come home? how could you leave her alone?"

Sanskaar was observing laksh. he felt that laksh was still in love with swara and the hug reminded him that.

Sa: "why do you care laksh?"

Laksh was silent to this question. When sanskaar made his way to the stairs, laksh stood in his way.

L: "I demand u an answer to the questions or else am not leaving u" with a stern look.

Sanskaar was somehow enjoying this. According to him, he felt like he saw his old brother back, when laksh spoke to him like that.

Sa: "okay, she is alright now and she is with dida and maa now. Satisfied? Now don't block my way."

Laksh was relieved to hear that she was doing okay and he was even more relieved at that fact that swara was with dida and maa rather than with sanskaar. After hearing Sanskaar's reply only he did think abt anything else. He saw that the store room was badly damaged. He thought that he would decide on that once his parents came home the next morning. Two things were still concerning him,

The first one was the ring which he had seen in swara's hand, he couldn't stop thinking that "is she still in love with me? what if?" and the next one was, when he had rushed to open the door, he had found the store room locked from outside. How was that possible? No one was home other than ragini. who would have done that? With the watchman outside, nobody could enter the house! He was kind of getting confused. Did really ragini could have done that? May be what omi said could have been right? With all these thoughts he went to his room. He couldn't come to a conclusion. He was kind of starting to feel suspicious. Omi's words came to his mind once again.

He tried to dismiss it but he couldn't.

The thought of doubt had started to trouble him. More than the second thought the first one was troubling him more.

Part-8

The first thing that happened in the morning was the return of the family members. Durga Prasad and Annapurna were very much worried. Durga Prasad made arrangements to repair the room. Sujatha was happy that swara faced a mishap like that. She hated swara more than anything.

They heard car honks. Laksh was on his feet. But maintained his posture. He was yearning to see swara. She came with dida, somi and sanskaar. Annapurna and Durgaprasad welcomed them. they were relieved to see her alright.

Dp: "we are really sorry, that swara had to undergo this sharmista ji. I am really unsure of how this happened in the first place."

Somi: "no need to ask for sorry durga Prasad ji, anyways she is alright now. That is more than enough for me. and now that I have left her here, we shall leave."

Ap: "sharmista ji, if u don't mind, u can take swara with you. She has gone through this incident. She might want to spend some time with you both. She can stay there and take rest for some days. After marriage, she hasn't gone there."

Somi: "thank u Annapurna ji, we ll take swara with us."

Laksh was worried that he might not be able to see swara for some days. He wanted to know how she was doing from her mouth. He wanted to ask her a lot of questions, but the situation was otherwise. She would leave any moment now. He was frustrated. His eyes wandered over to her hand wearing the ring.

Swara was feeling good that she would spend some time at badi but worried at the same time that she wouldn't be able to keep an eye on ragini. She was trying to avoid herself from looking over for laksh. She hurried her home from side to go home.

Ragini was irritated that swara was getting attention. At that same time, she was looking for any opportunity to go see her dadi.

Sanskaar was also feeling disheartened at the fact that swara would not be here at MM. he went over to swara.

Swara side cornered him. Sanskaar was kind of feeling glad that she was going to say something to him in private.

S: "sanskaar, I won't be back for 2 days. So don't forget to keep an eye on ragini okay. She might come up with any plan that I am not around so always keep an eye on her." sanskaar rolled his eyes.

Sa: "really? So this is what u wanted to tell me?! "

S: "yes, do I have to tell something else?" with a blank look.

Sanskaar didn't know what to answer as he too was unsure abt what he was expecting from her.

Sa: "leave it, take care of urself okay. Don't do anything clumsy and end up in trouble again." with a stern look.

Swara started to laugh at this.

S: "oh my, u sound more like a granny when u say it. Bye"

Sa: "bye."

Sanskaar was glad that he was able to make her laugh.

When she turned this way, she saw laksh standing and her laugh ceased.

When she saw him, she was reminded of night's proximity.

She was looking at him and he was also looking at her. She turned her glance away, to avoid awkwardness.

She then left with her mother and dida. Laksh and sanskaar were both watching her leave.

Laksh was still thinking of a way to speak to her. He then stuck upon an idea after she left. He felt that his idea was not a right one but still he wanted to do it.

He went to his mother and said "ma, ragini also hasn't gone to her mother's house ever since the marriage. She too would be missing her dadi."

Ap: "sorry laksh, I didn't think of it that way. Poor girl, she would have felt bad."

She called over ragini.

Ap: "ragini, u also go to ur dadi's home and rest for 2 days. It would be good for u. sorry dear, I didn't think before. Laksh only reminded me that."

Ragini was overjoyed when she heard that. So she found a way to meet dadi. And the fact that laksh had suggested that made her feel great. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled lightly at her and looked away.

She came down with her bag after 30 mins. Laksh offered to drop her on his way to office. She was happy with his gesture.

He felt sorry for her as he was faking his intentions with her. His only intention was to meet swara.
