New SS - Unspoken Words!

Arjun tiptoed to kitchen to grab some water. It was already twelve thirty and as usual he was late from office. He opened the and there was a brown deli box which took his attention away. As he opened it slowly he saw it was a chocolate cake with the words Happy B'day'.

Happy Birthday Arjun!' with those words the lights in the kitchen were on. There stood Radhika at the door. With a smile in her lips, she walked towards him. Oh Arjun, finally you are her. I wanted to wish you at 12 but as usual you were late' saying this she pulled him for a quick hug. Thank you' he murmured not knowing what else to say.

It was his birthday today!' . He didn't know how to react to it. He didn't know Radhika remembered this day. He never brought up a discussion on this anytime during their conversations. Even if she knew that it was his birthday he didn't even think in his wildest dreams she would plan for a cake and those words on it. That was so strange.

But Radhika.. how come..?' Before he could complete his words she put her fingers on his lips and gave him a peck. What was happening?' Arjun was not getting any of these. Why is she behaving so wife type' all of a sudden? This was so not usual of Radhika to behave in such a manner. She was his lawfully wedded wife but they never shared any relation other than that between two room partners. They never spoke to each other apart from the normal what would you like to eat?', do you wanna drop me off to work?' questions.

Oh hoo.. husband wife don't forget someone else is also here..' a sound came in with a giggle. He saw Nandini standing there with a bouquet in her hands. Now it came clear.. Why was Radhika so sweet with him. Nandu.. You are here?' He quickly turned to his sister and walked to her, not forgetting to give a Thank you smile' to Radhika.
