Chapter 1
Her melodious giggle filled the room, and he found himself grinning like an idiot. My Love.. His heart sang. My Life..it followed in the rhythm.
"Arnav!" Her giggle followed his name. "Put me down, you rascal!" Her chiming voice, now filled with little fright, reached his ears and he chuckled. He lifted her more up and her soft fingers around his hand tightened more. He again grinned.
"Enjoying up there, sweets?" he quipped.
In reply she glared at him, her blue eyes sparkling like a star in the dark room. He lay there on his back, lifting her above him with the help of his one strong arm. His palm flat against her stomach, hoisting her up.
"Now say. Will you stop me? And if your answer is, yes, then stay up whole night. And you know I am bloody well capable of doing that." his strong husky voice reached her ears and she pursed her lips.
"This is NOT how our every argument ends, Arnav. I hate you! You have promised to not be like this with me. You are breaking your promise." She accused him, her blue orbs reflecting her exact emotion.
"Am I, sweetheart? When did I break my promise? You are accusing me of the crime I have not committed. You need to grow up, sweets. You always come up with such childish points. What I am doing, any men with two strong arms can do..."
She looked at his boyish grin. Oh, how she wanted to wipe that grin off his face. She scowled at him, and in reply, she found herself more up. Her mouth open in shock.
"This! You rascal!" She pointed at his hand. "Is this the normal length of your hand? No! It's not. And thus, you broke your promise!"
He ginned sheepishly, caught red handed. He pulled his hands away from her stomach and she landed on his hard chest with a thud.
"Ahhh..You fool, you rascal. It hurts, you monster. I am not strong like you, I am human"
He tilted his head down to look at her angry face. Her red angry nose such a contrast against her white face. Cupping her tiny waist between his palm, he pulled her up and fussed his lips with her. He nibbled softly on her lower lips, as if it were a candy. His tongue found home and sucked every drop of her sweetness from the recesses of her mouth. Catching the soft fabric of her T-shirt, he brought it till her chin. Breaking the kiss, he looked at her, his green eyes turning a few shade darker with need, capable of scaring any living creature, but not the tiny one who lay above him. He pulled the T over her head, and now lay skin to skin.
"Rascal.." she managed to say through her ragged breathing.
He chuckled.
"Do you think rascal' is an endearment, sweets? Because it's not. You call me rascal more than by my actual name"
"Because you deserve that."
"Really?"
"Yes." She moved down and tried to graze her teeth on the skin of his chest, knowing very well that it won't do anything to him, but still she tried nonetheless.
"Quit that, sweets. You know you will achieve nothing, you might break your teeth instead."
"Arghhh.. why are you so different? I too want to hurt you, just like you did."
His eyes softened as she lifted her mesmerizing ones to look at him. He flipped her over with a speed that made her dizzy momentarily, and loomed over her.
"Did I really hurt you?" he caressed her cheek with his knuckles. "I am sorry " He kissed her lips softly. "You know I don't know how it feels to be hurt physically, so sometimes it's difficult to comprehend which act of mine could hurt you " he apologized. He never want to hurt her. She is the only person he has. Only person who loves him, cares about him. The only light in his dark life.
"No.." she caressed his rough cheek. "I think I exaggerated it a bit" she giggled and kissed his lips. "I love you, Arnav" She ran her hand from his neck to his shoulderblades, knowing how much he loves that. "We are so different, how the hell did we fell in love?" She sighed dramatically, making him smile at her.
"I know.." he opened his eyes which had closed on its own accord at her sensual ministration. "Those two blue eyes shined at me, with the most captivating smile I had ever seen, and a piece of me fled to you. I think that was the most important piece, because after that it became impossible to stay away from you"
"I think my story is no different." She pushed him back and came over him. She rested her elbows on his chest and cupped her face between her palm, knowing well that her weight and pointed elbows would do nothing to the man lying beneath her. "Your dark and intimidating, still soft and warm eyes shot a shiver down my body and a part of me lurched towards you, to never come back again" she sighed dreamily.
"We are so similar" Arnav grinned.
She laughed. "That we are"
"I love you, Arnav" she confessed softly.
He gave her a warm smile that always melts her heart
"I too love you, Catherine" He pulled her down and pressed his lips against her soft ones. Holding her waist, he rolled her beneath him, promising her a night full of and love and passion.
