Mira, what a beautiful chapter! Loved reading each and every word of it! Love Khushi and Manorama's equation. Their conversation was very moving. It brought out and highlighted Khushi's deep rooted fear of loss really well.

I love your descriptions of the house( something I enjoy reading immensely) The Kadamba tree (I googled to find how it looked like :) backyard leading to river bank, the stoop, the shuttered windows...it all sounds heavenly. Your words painted a very clear picture in my mind...I wish to settle in a bungalow like this after retirement. I have about 30 years to convince my hubby :D

And ah...what do I say about your Arnav and Khushi. Your Arnav is a sweetheart and a thorough gentleman. Absolutely adore the way he's taking it slow and allowing Khushi to share all her innermost thoughts with him...including that of Naren.

Absolutely mind blowing update🤗

Can't wait for the next ❤️

I love Manorama.. !! She is such an understanding mother in law. She isn't doubting Khushi. but is thinking about her future. We can also see what Sumitra saw, a family in making :) Beautiful update Mira..

What is it about darkness and conversations?

Strangers become friends...

Time and spaces don't matter...

Lives get intertwined...

So I sit and write

To a person who spoke to my soul,

Words fail to describe..

How your writing made me whole!

You speak of love, of grief, of loss,

Of moments time seems to stop!

I am not really good with teasers. I don't think I quite know ... But Canapoem asked.. and I tried. If you don't like it, I apologize.

Chapter 21:

He deserved someone better, someone who could offer him the same, someone who had something to offer.

She recalled how he had drawn her out of her melancholy. He took her mind off of the ache that had settled in her heart since Amma left for Gwalior. She shook her head as she muttered to herself, He deserved someone who had something to offer, not someone who took all she needed and offered nothing in return.'

The next moment, she stubbed her toe on an upraised root and waited to crash land on the ground, as she braced herself. Instead she found herself slammed to Arnav's chest as he pulled her arms back saving her a fall. He wrapped his arms around her own and leaned her against himself.

"Are you okay? You need to quit talking to yourself."

Khushi's heart raced as she tried to catch her breath. "I am sorry." She tried to move away from him but his hold was firm. "Arnav," she turned her head towards him and found his lips in her line of sight.

Was he going to kiss her? Her eye lids weighed down...

There you go... I guess it was supposed to tease! 😉
