@Bold: This is interesting..I guess no body questioned Arnav's fidelity when he made love to Khushi (I won't say sex, gives me bad vibes) when technically he was still married to Lavanya..

Now he is not married to Khushi, she is not his girlfriend who gave him millions of reasons to not to be with him and who agreed readily to the breakup which means they are not committed to each other..so how is the question of fidelity arising now?

Anywho, I'm interested to know how you are going to address this.. the Indian way or the American way.. I say this because the notion of fidelity differs by culture..

Jenny, I'm even more curious about what's going on with Arnav now that you have added this bit on fidelity😕 But like Kavitha pointed out, Arnav is not technically with Khushi, so there really is no issue of fidelity.

Kavitha, very interesting observation. It seems that our bias towards Arnav and Khushi has really affected our viewpoints.

just literally dying to understand Arnavs pov. what will explain, and justify this anger, this behavior of his??

i totally understand Arnavs this characteristics are making him more of a human...same grey character as others with all the flaws...and we love Arnav with warts and all...but than wart is a wart...isnt it...we just don't like the wart...but we love Arnav.

that is the thing of a story isn't it? that you love characters with all the flaws...they appeal to you in their realistic avatar...sometimes super human or super hero kind of characters feels like a fairy tale...a childs story...yes we love happy ending and there are elements in story which kind of escapes the reality of real life. but more realistic they are, more better..

i am so waiting it to be his "sabra" and not her "sabra".

And Sujatha out of anger or spite might have just blurted out that she has convinced Khushi to get back with Aman. And Arnav might be thinking that Khushi is contacting him for a closure kind of situation. Remember she was the one who had urged Arnav to talk to La about a closure.

And Arnav seeing Khushi with Aman on that night confirmed that Khushi has indeed moved on.

Ok, now I have gone totally bonkers.

I have so much work pending and here I am coming up with theories for Arnav's anger. 😆

but its true. even i have lots of work to finish and here i am thinking and re thinking every word, every letter...trying to find. what really did happen to him? why ? what can justify his behavior?

Kavita, indeed a very valid point you have raised about fidelity/infidelity.

Ok here is my take on what Arnav feels.

According to Arnav, after he separated from his wife, mentally he was single again. He felt due to some rules of Ohio State he is not granted a divorce on paper, but emotionally, mentally and physically he was single. He felt relationships are only valid when they are bound through hearts and emotions which was not there for him with La.

So I think his conscience did not prick when he slept with Khushi (thrice).

But coming to the present situation, I am not able to say anything in his defense or against him as I do not know the entire picture.

The above views is only my understanding of Arnav's mind and I am not generalizing anything here.

On a lighter note, the best thing I loved about this chapter was this line...

"Although I'm disappointed about Suji and Navin not being able to attend Isha's wedding because of Navin's health"

That's the best thing you could have given us Jenny. Sujata & her prejudiced views on Arnav would have so soured the whole wedding cheer, if he is indeed going to be around during the wedding... 😉

Hope they take advantage of this unexpected good luck! 😉

But now another thought struck me... Didn't you say Aman was going to be there too or rather it was his cousin who was marrying Isha?? So, there is a high chance for Aman to be there too... 😉

If just seeing Aman & Khushi together at a restaurant made Arnav so jealous, what will it do to see them together in India at a wedding??? 😉

LOL, if every lovestory requires a villian, for now I cant think of a better person to play that role. 😆

so true "A Mommy Monster" that will make so many things easy and obsolete Arnav's faults in so many ways. she will take all the blame and our lovely hero will be back with a bang...
