I have been trying to come up with something that would reflect everything you went through to write this story of yours. And honestly, I am not sure these 200-odd words are going to do any justice to the kind of journey you undertook and/or the kind of transformation you went through as the author of Resistance. But I am going try...

Let us take stock of all that which made this story so different from the others you have written:
1. It is a much longer story - You sustained your reader's attention for thirty odd chapters. That's telling!

2. It is set almost seventy years ago - Your story spoke of your efforts at researching that time period, getting your historical facts in right order to tell a good story.

3. It is set at a historical time of country that was trying to free itself - This in itself is a challenge! A movement underway and to contextualize your characters in this setting is quite a feat. You did very well here too.

4. There were so many characters, plots and sub-plots...

5. Not to mention the range of emotions you described in your writing...

I mean, I could go on and on..

I have seen you get frustrated, get stumped with the plot at times, watched you think through your struggle and ultimately write your story.

It was a nuanced, mature and an evocative rendition of a couple who had to define and redefine their sense of home.

It was a heart rending description of a young soldier who gave up everything so others could have what he so desperately wanted for himself.

It was a warm portrayal of a marriage that withstood storms that couldn't uproot their deep seated love.

It was an achievement. That you are barely out of high school and you wrote this is a testament to your ability to tell a good story. I am not sure what else is left to say, So, I will end it with -

Congratulations! 👏

I hope you will give yourself a break, renew your energies and come back with more stories to tell. When the bard is ready, her audience is happy. ❤️

A beautiful ending.. Arnav's realization of where home is- was beautifully portrayed, especially when he saw his son playing with his father.. poignant

Their relationship was drafted so well, their understanding of each others needs.. in the beginning their inane ability to accommodate each other beliefs was worrisome but you gave it great direction.

Look forward to reading more from you, hopefully soon.

Your comments truly make my day. You always pick out the most beautiful things to say, and I absolutely adore reading them. I've enjoyed reading them on not just my story, but other stories as well- someday, I hope you'll come to the dark side with us and write 😉 Thank you!

Love always,
Choti

I am humbled, truly ..As for writing I would not even know where to begin...yet remain marveled at all who do write ...

Awesome ending.👏...👏..👏.appreciate Arnav for deciding to stay back in India when he had an opportunity to go back and that too with a job which he was interested in...his love for khushi and his parents made him decide the right thing...he did not allow khushi to decide for him...she will not be happy staying away from his parents and India...will miss this story...

Your comments are something I look forward to- whether it be during editing or after I have posted the chapter. This one made me teary. I love your comments for their ability to highlight what I worked the most at to convey- whether it be the emotions, drawing out characters, bringing in a new element of the plot... you always make sure to bring forward what I worked to show with my chapters. It is absolutely lovely to have a friend and a reader that appreciates that. Thank you for believing in me through this. I am so happy to have shared this journey with you!

Love always,
Chutki. :)
