Part 18

Angad stayed with his dadi for the next couple of days. He had called and informed his family about his whereabouts and had assured them that dadi was perfectly fine now. Kripa was getting worried about where Angad was. He did not pick up his cell and he did not come to school. The second day this happened, she decided to see what was going on. It was shocking that she had been friends with him for over a month now and still had not met his complete family or been to his house.

She was thinking about how she was going to introduce herself as she walked over to the Khanna Mansion. She reached there and rang the bell. Karthik Khanna, Angad's older brother looked at Kripa, not surprised at all to see a beautiful young lady standing in front of him, when he opened the door. He was pretty sure he knew who she was looking for too. Kripa, meanwhile, had no idea who this guy was. He looked like Angad, a bit. Could he be his brother, Karthik?

She decided to ask, "Hi, my name is Kripa, Kripa Sharma!" She held out her hand. Karthik shook it, "I am Karthik, Karthik Khanna, and are you the Sharma's daughter?" He asked.

Kripa nodded her head, "Yes, I am I just moved here with my parents a couple moths ago."

"Oh, I see" Karthik replied. "Well, oh I am sorry I never invited you in, come on in." Kripa stepped in; once she entered, she looked around at the interior of the mansion. It was beautifully decorated.

"Its beautiful!" she said. Karthik smiled, "Thanks, Angad decorated it!" Kripa's mouth dropped open, "Really?"
Karthik- "yea, he is pretty good!"
Kripa-'good, its excellent, I never knew he was so good at this, he should become an interior designer!"
Karthik laughed, "I agree with you, and so do a thousand other people, but he has set his mind on being a professional football player."
He led her to a sofa and she sat down, she asked, "Is he home?"
Karthik, "Who, Angad?"
Kripa nodded her head.
"Well, no, he isn't, he has gone to Michigan." Karthik replied

Kripa was shocked, her mouth opened slightly but she parted her lips.
"When did he leave?"
Karthik- "About 2 days ago, why?"
Kripa- "Well, uh, he never told me"
Karthik- "Oh he sort of left all of a sudden."
Kripa- "he did? Was everything all right?"
Karthik- "Well actually, our dadi lives there, and she had an asthma attack, angad loves her dearly, as soon as he found out, he just left"
Kripa was touched, there were some soft sides of Angad she had not seen yet- "oh, I see, how is she feeling now?"
Karthik- "better, actually much better since Angad is there, he is taking good care oh her."
Kripa smiled, "He really loves her, and I am touched!"
Karthik- "yes, they have a unique- grandma-grandson bond." He looked at his watch, "I am really sorry but I have an important meeting to attend, let me call Aaliya for you."
He called her name, "Aali!"
Aaliya came running down the stairs, "Yes bhai" She looked at Kripa, "Oh hi Kripa di!"
Karthik's eyes host up, Kripa sure seemed to be blending in with the family, I like Angad's choice, he thought. "Hey sis I have to attend a meeting, can you please come down and accompany Kripa?"
Aaliya- "sure, I'd love to" she came down.
Karthik- "thanks sis and it was nice meeting you Kripa!"
Kripa- "it was nice meeting you too...uh."
Karthik- "Karthik, but you can call m

e bhai if you want, bye."

He picked up his coat and left leaving Kripa slightly blushing. She rather felt weird calling Angad's brother bhai, and his sister calling her di. Did Karthik get the wrong idea? She thought. She shook her head and turned her attention to Aaliya who was talking animatedly about something. She caught the last few words, "I cant wait!"

Kripa- "uh, I am sorry aaliya, I was sort of daydreaming, can you repeat that?"
Aaliya- "Its ok, well…I have a plan…it's a surprise…"
She told Kripa the plan, but we can't hear it….

sorry it was short but it was 12 size font, two pages on Ms Word..and my my report card was a dissapointment i was expecting straight a's but i guess teher was some sort of mistake :(....and i got 2 bs.... so yeahh.....but the next part is gonna be fun ...sorry no a-k
