The landscape before her may have remained unchanged but everything else had undergone massive changes. All Khushi had to do was look around her. The sweeping transformation in Kotagiri stared back at her from every corner. Two decades later, her grandmother and aunt were as loving as ever but they had changed too. Once a fiercely independent woman, her grandmother was older now and more dependent on her children. Moreover, her aunt who wanted to be a good homemaker was now a hardworking entrepreneur. Time proved that all things change. Time also proved that not all changes were bad. --- I loved the scripting here S..It was beautiful, living and non-living things...the contrasts and changes..it made me smile...
The Emerald House --- Aha! Emerald J your interior designing skills are excellently done in writing too since I can clearly visualize the image of renovated home.
Why do bad memories shroud happy times with such ease? Why do we give them the power to leave an everlasting bitter taste in the aftermath of a tragedy? Khushi mused. - Interesting question! Don't we all wonder about this?
One who has family to fall back on are lucky. I am glad that Khushi's parents stood by her when Shashi had faced hardships from his dad and helplessness from his mother. I loved the granddaughter and grandma talk. It speaks to me. Because I have a paati like Uma Rao. Certain lines touched me, I cant explain in detail why but it really touched my heart ""I'll do... Our family will do anything for you. Will do what it takes to see an unburdened you. All you have to do is ask for help.
"You were out trying to stay too busy in my opinion, never giving yourself personal time to enjoy life. And you cannot deny that you carry everyone's problems on your shoulders. You panic and stress more than anyone I know. You cover it up. You overanalyse. "I don't want you to pretend, Paapu. I want you to try. Just try."
The Curve Ball Called Life ---- Nice title...so Khushi is writing these days...Good good..
Aha! You never fail to express or point out few points...some truths of life
1. Parents always want their children to outperform them. The only time a human doesn't mind losing a race."
2. Caste had no relevance in matters of love.
3. It was a tale of unflagging love, unshakable faith and resilience. A real life story where two people who mattered to her fought to live life on their terms.
4. Her faith was stronger than the significance given to ritual idol worship.
I should say this S, I loved the ambience you created of that temple..for a moment I could see myself there, in that peaceful and serene atmosphere, similar to Khushi where the mind stopped thinking and for the current moment I can feel peace. Of course, the next second you gave my heart a jolt by bring Arnav there and I did love that conversation where Arnav was flirtiest and Khushi cautious and wary...Entry of Madhu added spice and I loved that Madhu-Arnav chemistry...But the bomb - Arati Raizada blasted and now everything before it started ended..I am loving the pace of this story S..its speedy, like that mountain biking...I am eagerly waiting for what happens next...
I didn't receive the Pm..for chapter 3...I hope you hvent taken me off from the buddy list..
