Well I expected some reaction. Not indifference.
What is khushi's grandmother trying to hide? Are kids being kidnapped ? And what did actually happen to anjali? I hope she's alive.
Do continue soon.
*Congrats and let's meet in the new thread.

I'll be here soon!!! And if I am not - please forgive me??
Edited

I am here I am here - I know you have already posted the next chapter but I am here nevertheless - i know you understand but i am still so sorry for such a delay. But somehow I just didn't not want to Res before you posted Ch-4...ah well I am making no sense

So let me get to the happenings.

Needless to say Paati was adorable - infact all of Khushi's family is wonderful! I love them. And I thank God that Khushi has them around to take her mind away from the all consuming guilt. Because clearly she is going to need that balance isn't she?

I was going to jump up all hot and bothered by Aarti's reaction. Because who blames what happened to an eight year old on another eight year old? I mean do we really forget what it is like to be that age? But then I shudder to think about the trauma Aarti has undergone, her reaction seems -...I guess she just needs someone to blame - a reason...because anything is better than just not knowing - which is exactly what happened to the other little girl, didn't it?

I don't know what Arnav is going to do with this. Honestly I don't envy the position he is in? Is it going to be an extreme reaction on the other end? Or just measured distance and hopeful aloofness? I cannot wait to see how the shared connection is going to change what was just about taking shape between these two?

But then, if we had all the answers already - this story wouldn't be called Hands of Time would it? :) So I am not impatient I assure you - just insanely intrigued, engrossed and completely putty in the hands of the author. I love that!

The landscape before her may have remained unchanged but everything else had undergone massive changes. All Khushi had to do was look around her. The sweeping transformation in Kotagiri stared back at her from every corner. Two decades later, her grandmother and aunt were as loving as ever but they had changed too. Once a fiercely independent woman, her grandmother was older now and more dependent on her children. Moreover, her aunt who wanted to be a good homemaker was now a hardworking entrepreneur. Time proved that all things change. Time also proved that not all changes were bad. --- I loved the scripting here S..It was beautiful, living and non-living things...the contrasts and changes..it made me smile...

The Emerald House --- Aha! Emerald J your interior designing skills are excellently done in writing too since I can clearly visualize the image of renovated home.

Why do bad memories shroud happy times with such ease? Why do we give them the power to leave an everlasting bitter taste in the aftermath of a tragedy? Khushi mused. - Interesting question! Don't we all wonder about this?

One who has family to fall back on are lucky. I am glad that Khushi's parents stood by her when Shashi had faced hardships from his dad and helplessness from his mother. I loved the granddaughter and grandma talk. It speaks to me. Because I have a paati like Uma Rao. Certain lines touched me, I cant explain in detail why but it really touched my heart ""I'll do... Our family will do anything for you. Will do what it takes to see an unburdened you. All you have to do is ask for help.

"You were out trying to stay too busy in my opinion, never giving yourself personal time to enjoy life. And you cannot deny that you carry everyone's problems on your shoulders. You panic and stress more than anyone I know. You cover it up. You overanalyse. "I don't want you to pretend, Paapu. I want you to try. Just try."

The Curve Ball Called Life ---- Nice title...so Khushi is writing these days...Good good..

Aha! You never fail to express or point out few points...some truths of life

1. Parents always want their children to outperform them. The only time a human doesn't mind losing a race."

2. Caste had no relevance in matters of love.

3. It was a tale of unflagging love, unshakable faith and resilience. A real life story where two people who mattered to her fought to live life on their terms.

4. Her faith was stronger than the significance given to ritual idol worship.

I should say this S, I loved the ambience you created of that temple..for a moment I could see myself there, in that peaceful and serene atmosphere, similar to Khushi where the mind stopped thinking and for the current moment I can feel peace. Of course, the next second you gave my heart a jolt by bring Arnav there and I did love that conversation where Arnav was flirtiest and Khushi cautious and wary...Entry of Madhu added spice and I loved that Madhu-Arnav chemistry...But the bomb - Arati Raizada blasted and now everything before it started ended..I am loving the pace of this story S..its speedy, like that mountain biking...I am eagerly waiting for what happens next...

I didn't receive the Pm..for chapter 3...I hope you hvent taken me off from the buddy list..

Superb. . Arnav's posture completly changed after knowing who khushi is.. Does that mean he too blames khushi for what happened to Anjali?? Khushi is already so fragile emotionally and I don't think she could take his hatred... Anjali's mother is enough for the day.. I don't understand why she still holds her responsible. . She was just a child and it could be her too in Anjali's place.. But no!! Mrs. Raizada has to put the blame on someone even if culprit could not be found..

Loved the conversation between khushi and her grandmother.. Khushi is very lucky to have a loving and caring family who stood by her at every step of her life..

Loved the update. . Continue soon.

We have seen Khushi's suffering and how her parents had to leave town since that fateful day but I have been very curious about the Raizada family and how they handled the calamity that befell them and the words below describe the after effects...What a way to end this chapter...

"Everyone stood shell-shocked, blood drained, mind numbed and humiliated. "

While Khushi and her family have suffered, I feel the loss to Arnav and his family is greater. it takes a lot of objectivity to not blame Khushi for that day if you look at it from Aarti's point of view. I am very curious what Arnav's view is.

Funny how most relations shatter and scatter in the face of grief and crisis.Whereas if people stand together and work for a common mission...any situation can be turned around.I guess grief brings along a few friends with it namely distrust, blame, confusion and a truck load of 'what ifs'.Poor poor Arshi...the magnetic pull and attraction they felt for each other is unknowingly sacrificed at the alter of hatred. Please please please update soon.Waiting impatiently.

Just caught up to he update. I love the strong women that make up Kushi's family from the grandma to the aunt to the mum. They clearly played a big part in her childhood and will be the support she relies on while battling Arti Raizada and the past. It sounds like the kidnapping is still happening with the other little girl'sdisappearnce that the grandma is hiding from Kushi. So I am kinda excited that along with finding love, Kushi will be solving the mystery that has haunted her childhood.
You have a way with describing the scenery and that temple scene was beautiful. Love how our hero materialized out of nowhere. Look like Madhu did not recognize him either. Well the cat is out of the bag now with venom spitting Arti. Did they ever give her a chance to tell the story as it happened or was she too upset to listen to Kushi? Whichever it is, I think we know the version that was fed to Arnav with his sudden change of attitude. Now he knows why she did not call.

Can't wait for their next meeting.
