So, if I can... I would like to comment on the Interlude... after reading all the comments, I expected the reaction I received... Sameer is an asshole and everything beyond that! And for those readers, that understood what I was trying to portray...👏 If you all don't mind, I will give myself a pat on the back for that...👏
But after reading a comment, for a split second, mind you a nano second, I questioned my take on Khushi's past... but then quickly shook my head in a negative... because I am not sure where that came from.
Men like Sameer and Women like Khushi, exist everywhere, meaning in the world... so we are kidding ourselves that this is not real or believable...
And, I have personally have witnessed this first hand, where someone as smart and intelligent as Khushi remains in the relationship without sharing it with her family or even friends in hopes that it will work out in the end. This is because they don't want to let their parents down, they try to make it work. Parents who have never asked anything from children, but have always given back, then one day ask you to consider this for them. And, you know your one yes will fulfill there dream and make them happy... how does a child say no to that? You grow up believing and trusting that your parents know best, but what we don't realize that some parents will actually listen, we just need to take that step... but believe it or not some are afraid to have that conversation...
But it takes a woman with guts to do what Khushi did, so I applaud those women who respect themselves to say enough is enough. And for those parents who support their daughter's through this and encourage them to move on in life...because men like Sameer don't deserve it!
This is a reality in our society and culture, and it's hard to go against it...we tend to stay in relationships no matter how hard it is and try to make it work for our loved ones... So I would say these characters are as real and believable...
This story is meant to be simple love story about a woman with a past, that moves forward in life... so the plot should be fairly easy to figure, I am not writing an intense complicated drama.
I hope this clears any confusion...
Thank you all for your continued support and and understanding where Khushi is coming from with her apprehensions
But it's time to move on, and give Khushi the happiness she deserves so I hope you will continue to join me in that journey.
Love always,
Jigs
