Chapter 36:
Randhir reached Mumbai at around 2 in the night. He hired a cab as he had not informed anyone about his arrival. He wanted to surprise all of them especially Basanti so he had not informed Jiggy too. He came out of his thoughts when the car halted at the mansion, he tipped the driver with an extra 500 and went inside.
It was very dark when he entered. He assumed that since it was mid-night all of them must be sleeping. Just as he was about to take the stairs to his room with the minimum light from his cell, the hall glowed with lights and all of them shouted "Congratulations"
He was stunned and rooted to his place. His eyes scanned the people standing in front of him. He saw WanKit and VidArth too.But what surprised him the most was Steve, Rachel, Emma and Marcus were also present in the group. Soon all of them hugged him and wished him good luck.
Though he was happy seeing all of them, he still kept missing the one person. His eyes were continuously wandering the whole house so that he could catch a glimpse of her. Seeing him not responding, Ankit spoke "Hey Randhir whats up dude? Where are you lost?"
Randhir immediately looked at Dhwani with questioning eyes to which she nodded her head in negative. So Randhir spoke up " Ah.. nothing. Just a little hungry."
Ankit chuckled at this and soon got up and went to the kitchen on the pretence of getting something for him to eat. Meanwhile Randhir excused himself to his room as he wanted to change into something more casual. Just as he came out of the washroom, he found a tray on his bed side table with a bowl and a plate.
The moment he opened it he had attained nirvana. He started gorging the food in front of him as though he had not eaten in the past few days. He had finished the items in front of him in less than 10 minutes and was licking his fingers, when a voice came from behind "Pata tha tum ab bhi yahi pasand hai. Gabbar"
He was so engrossed in eating that he had failed to note that someone had entered his room. But once he heard the voice, he spun around to look at the person. He smirked and said "Ajeeb hai. You learnt cooking. But there is a lot of scope for improvement. BB"
Sanyu: BB?
Randhir: Tum Chartered Accountant kaise ban gayi?
Sanyu: Kya?
Randhir: Aur nahi tho kya? You gotta use a lot of brains na to evade tax and all? Why cant you decipher what BB means ?
Sanyu: Ugh! Ab bata rahe ho ya nahi?
Randhir slowly walked up to the door and then said "BB - Basanti Bandar" and he dashed down to save his life. He was instatly followed by Sanyukta who was totally mad on him and started shouting "Tum ne mujhe Bandar kaha? Chodungi nahi tumhe aaj"to which Randhir replied "Pehle pakdo".
The two of them were running around the hall, kitchen around the table, sofa and wherenot. All of them were witnessing the show, with a big smile on their faces. Suddenly Randhir stepped out of the house and ran towards the lawn. Sanyukta never gave up and she too followed suit, but just as she was about to catch him, she stumbled on his foot and was ready to kiss the ground. Both of them fell down on the grass with a thud and started laughing like maniacs.
After a while they stopped laughing and stood up dusting themselves of the mud or grass. They looked into each others' eyes and Sanyu's eyes started filling with tears. She immediately hugged him to which he responded with all his might. His grip was so strong that he was almost crushing her when she spoke "Arey maaroge kya? Chodo na?" "Kabhi nahi" came the instant reply.
Sanyu's eyes widened, but soon he released her and said "I missed you a lot"
Sanyu: Me too. When did you know?
Randhir: At yoyo's engagement? And you?
Sanyu: What? And you didn't tell me? Acha acting kiya!
Randhir: Arey mein kya karoon! Dhwani ko promise kiya tha.
Sanyu: Aww mishti!! Pata hai uss din hum Jij ke ghar jaa rahe the na for Janmashtami celebration, that day we hugged each other and we felt connected. I so missed her.
Randhir: Hmmm and you never felt anything of that sort for me?
Sanyu(in mind): How do I tell him what all I feel for him?
Sanyu: Haan! I was confused! Everything was so similar! Especially your eyes. First day at O&S itself. But it never struck me then! Aur tum?
Randhir: Even I felt so! Acha chale andar? Looks like its gonna rain! I wanna meet Ankit too!
Randhir held out his hand to her and she took it instantly and the two of them happily walked off inside. This entire reunion was watched by someone. Immediately he made note of all the things and sent a mail.
Meanwhile inside the house Randhir and Ankit were sharing a hug for quite a long time and so the girls and others started singing "Maa da laadla biggad gaya" Hastily, the two of them broke the embrace and looked everywhere else.
Randhir: So how you guys here?
Ankit: As soon as Princess and Mishti told me I wanted to meet you. So here we are.
Randhir: Its so awesome to be back together!!! Till when are you guys staying?
Ankit: Kal Jij bhi aarahe hai! New project kal se shuru ho raha haina!
Jiggy: Yes! Good good!!
That's when kaka and kaki came and said " Acha suno. Its around 3:30 now. Go sleep. We will have late aarti tommorow. All of you be ready!"
Kastu: Ahh thank you so much kaka!!
Sanyu:Mish tum mere saath aajao. Pls?
Kaka: Mish?
Sanyu: Ji kaka. Mishti!
Kaki: Mishti? Arey yeh.
Ankit: Kaki. Bahut late ho gaye! Lets sleep na!
Ankit knew that Kaki was about to tell everyone that he used to keep thinking of Mishti whenever he's here. He didn't wanna embarrass himself nor Mishti.
Ankit: Randhir can I share the room with you? Kaka will open the other room tomorrow.
Randhir: Sure. Anytime bro. Chal.
All went to their rooms - Sanyu and Dhwani in Sanyu's room, Kastu and Vidu in Kastu's room, Ankit and Randhir in Randhir's room and finally Parth and Jiggy in Jiggy's room. One night was just not enough for the friends to catch up with 14 years of their lives. But none of the four slept. They kept talking the whole night or rather the dawn and eventually fell asleep just when Kaka came to wake them up.
Being a wise old man, Kaka gave the youngsters a day off from the routine and let them sleep. He understood that in excitement they would have not blinked their eyes even for a moment. So the old couple and the other servants performed the puja and started their day. After about an hour or so, the door bell rang. A servant opened the door and allowed a couple to come inside.
Kaki: Aap log beitiye, I will get something to drink.
Man: Kahan hai sab?
Kaki: Baba they are all sleeping. Kal milan jo hua hai.
Woman: Milan? Kaunsa milan? Aur kiska?
Kaki: Woh...
She could not complete her statement as Sanyu had just come from her room and litreally jumped on the couple who were seated. And she screamed "Di Jij!!! When did you come?"
Vardhan: A few minutes back. And yeh kya you are all still sleeping. Its 9:30
Sanyu: Jij!! Aapko pata hai mein kisse mili?
Vardhan: Kisse?
"Humse" came a voice from the stairs and another from Sanyu's room.
Niharika: So? You guys have already met?
"Di aap kabse itne dumb hogaye? Isliye kehta hoon Jij ke saath mat raho" came another voice from a room upstairs.
Vardhan: Oye!! Chup kar, Niche aaja!
Niharika: So what were you all saying?
Sanyu & Ankit: Gabbar aur Mishti mil gaye. Randhir & Dhwani: Basanti aur Chipkoo mil gaye!
All four of them said it together while the others started laughing and soon they also joined. Hearing the loud noise of their laughter the other four people too came out and settled themselves in the hall.
Vardhan: Acha? Good. Its good. Ab kaam ke baat kare kya?
Parth: Kaam? What kaam jij?
Vardhan: Oye! Aaj bhoomi puja hai! Project ki! Niha kya karoonga mein in bachon ke saath?
Sanyu: Arey haan na! Ok we will get ready soon.
All eight of them left to get ready. Meanwhile Kaka had instructed the other servants to open the other rooms and ensure water supply so that all of them could get ready on time and Kaki had served the Suryavanshi with the breakfast.
Soon the boys arrived clad in a simple kurta pyjama - Randhir in light green and brown, Ankit in blood red and white, Jiggy in royal blue and biege and Parth in bottle green and white. About 15 mintues later, the girls too came out sizzling in beautiful salwar suits. Sanyu in black and silver, Dhwani in mustard and gold, Kastu in White and silver and Vidu in Light pink and white.
Vardhan and Niharika shared a look after scanning the youth in front of them and together chirpped "Perfect" . After breakfast all of them left to the site to perform the bhoomi pooja. As soon as the reached, the Board members and other top executives came to welcome them. Yoyo and Kruthi had arranged everything perfectly. In no time, the pandits arrived and the pooja was performed. After a while the pooja got over and the Vardhan was introduced to all the contractors who would be supplying men and material for the project. At last he met the project heads once more, gave them a pep talk and left. Just as he had stepped out of the gate along with Sanyu, Ankit and Randhir he bumped into a person. The man was well built and was about the same age as Vardhan! Ankit helped Vardhan from falling down while the other person was smirking at him. "Bhoode ho gaye kya? Dikhta nahi hai? Isiliye kehta hoon sar niche raka karo. Par tum tho samajhthe hi nahi! Kya Vardhan? Hey Nihi baby how are you?"
