Chapter 26 : Found you
Randhir was rooted to the spot and had not moved for quite a long time. Observing this Vardhan came to him and called out to him. On getting no reply, he efficently slid the cell from his hand and checked what Randhir was seeing which made him freeze like a statue. After understanding the situation, he decided on something and immediately did one thing which seemed to be the right thing to do at the moment. Vardhan texted "RD has found about Ankit and Sanyukta, before he tells anything to Dhwani am asking her to go to Manali for a project so that our plan works out."
Randhir recovered from his shock when he heard an announcement made by Vardhan. "All the couples out there please step on to the dance floor. Its time to celebrate. Niha?" Soon the dance floor was crowded with the couple. Vardhan had pulled everyone on to the dance floor - JiKi and VidArth were happily dancing, while WanKit were awkward. They had not spoken to each other for about a while now as they had been ignoring each other. Dhwani wanted Ankit to talk, while Ankit never wanted to actually start any conversation with her. Sanyukta was busy attending to all the guest and also playing with Vardhan's children. And Randhir?
Well Randhir was going through a lot of emotions. He had found his childhood friend - well best friend due to circumstances he had lost contact with him. Next he had found his Basanti - HIS BASANTI. He kicked himself for being a dunce to not realise this before. He recollected every meeting with Sanyukta which kinda reminded him of Basanti. In fact he even went to the memory of Jiggy asking Randhir if Sanyukta was his Basanti at their first Business meet. He had rejected reasoning that her eyes were greyish. Now that he knew that Sanyukta was his Basanti he wanted to know the reason behind the change in her eye color. He knew he might sound paranoid to others but he was RSS. He needed answers.
Randhir was about to go and talk to Ankit about this and then he remembered his deal with Dhwani.
Flashback ( 5 years ago)
Dhwani was in her room with laptop on her bed. She was hurriedly trying to search something when Randhir entered her room without a knock. She immediately shut her laptop which Randhir had noticed.
Randhir: Kya chupa rahi ho Mishti?
Dhwani: Kuch nahi bhai! Bas aise hi
Randhir: tho dikhao
Dhwani: Aisa kuch nahi hai!
Randhir: Are you doing something which you should not be?
Dhwani(irritated): No bhai! Why would i?
Randhir: Then what is the necessity to hide anything from me?
Dhwani(yelled): Girl stuff bhai. Happy?
Randhir: Acha? Tho mujhe tho janna aur bhi zaroori hai.
He immediately yanked the laptop from her bed and held her two hands in his one hand. He tapped some keys to switch on the laptop which was on power save mode and when he did it asked for password.
Randhir: Hmmm.. Password?
Dhwani: I will type?
Randhir: Kyun? You know my password. So whats wrong in me knowing yours?
Dhwani: Am a girl Bhai.
Randhir(confused): Whats that gotta do with telling password to your brother.
Dhwani: Par..
Randhir: Are you telling or should I use my brains in hacking your system. And you know RSS never loses. Are you gonna test your brother?
Dhwani: Fine. I will tell you in one condition.
Randhir: I wont tell it to anyone nor will I use your laptop. I have my own stuff Mish
Dhwani: No. I really don't care if you use my system.
Randhir: Then?
Dhwani: You should not laugh!
Randhir(chuckled): Acha?
Dhwani: Dekho aap tho abhi se hass rahe ho.
Randhir: Tho aur kya karoon. Tum aisa hi build up de rahi ho.
Dhwani: Please. First promise.Samjho mere rakhi ka gift hai
Randhir: Arey itna senti kyun ho rahe ho. Acha teeke teeke. Batao.
Dhwani(whispered): Chipkoo
Randhir was shocked to hear such a name. His facial expressions changed from curiosity to ammusement and finally to a serious one. He kept the laptop on the bed and pulled Dhwani beside him and made her sit.
Meanwhile, Dhwani never looked up to see Randhir in his eyes.She was in tears. He slowly wiped the tears from her cheeks and hugged her.
Randhir: Arey Mish. Relax baby!
Dhwani: Aap hass tho nahi rahe ho na,
Randhir: Kahan hass raha hoon. Lekin ek baat puchoon?
Dhwani: Haan.
Randhir: Tumne bataya kyun nahi.
Dhwani: Aap ne bhi tho nahi bataya.
Randhir: Kya?
Dhwani: Meeti aka Basanti' ke barein mein
Now Randhir broke the hug and looked at her and then blushed.
Dhwani: Arey arey!! (She took her mobile and snapped a picture of Randhir)
Randhir: What was that for?
Dhwani: Every sister is not blessed to see her brother blush bhai!
Randhir: Acha?Tho kab se pata hai.
Dhwani: Jab aapne Jiggy bhai se baat kar rahi thi kal mein wahi thi. Tho sab sunliya! Waise aapse gussa hoon.
Randhir: Kyun?
Dhwani: Aapne Jiggy bhai se pehle bataya.
Randhir: Acha am sorry!
Dhwani: Aisa nahi chalega! Mujhe kuch aur chahiye!
Randhir: Kya? Jo bolegi I will do!
Dhwani: Hmmm. Ek deal karte hain!
Randhir: Deal?
Dhwani: Haan. Warna..
Randhir: Ok ok now tell me what is the deal
Dhwani: Very simple one. See, we both love the siblings. So if I get to know about either of them before you I inform it to you and vice versa. Until we tell to each other you are not supposed to contact them. It's a win-win situation for both of us. Deal?
Randhir: Arey! Tum kab se itni intelligent ho gayi, Good good tum mere saath rahogi tho aur bhi intelligent ho gi. The deal is on darling!
Dhwani: Cool!!
They shook hands just as business delegates do. The two were oblivious to the fact that the whole conversation was heard by their parents.
Randhir came back to the present and was trying ways and means to go and talk with Dhwani. Whenever he tried, either Vardhan, Niharika or Yoyo came and gave him some work and kept him busy. Meanwhile, they also ensured Dhwani was far away from Randhir.
Soon they were about to leave, when Vardhan called them.
Vardhan: Hmmm ek baat tho hai. First I wanna thank you all for supporting and helping us in this engagement! Next its related to work. Dhwani tum, Vidushi, Parth and Ankit I want you all to go to Manali. Waise I want only the girls to go, but you guys can tag along to take some break. I spoke to your father Ankit, and he's given you both permission. So tum log yahi ruk jao kal subah nikal jaana. Ok?
Dhwani: Par hamare saaman?
Vardhan: Hmmm. Randhir aakar dedega subah at the station.
Randhir: How will I know what she would want? Its better if she packs na?
Vardhan: Ismey kya hai? Sanyu help kar degi. Tum aur jiggy Parth aur ankit ka packing karlo. And anyway its only for a about 3-4 days. So chill. Aur haan tum log apna phones yahi cho do. That place wont have any signal. I guess you can afford to not have cells for that much time. Right?
VidArth and WanKit: Yes sir!
Vardhan: Sir? Good. Now you guys can leave.
The other 4 left. Since Sanyu and Kastuki would be staying alone, they first went to guest house, packed stuff for Dhwani and all four of them went to Parth's house. There they packed luggage for Ankit and VidArth. Throught the packing session, Randhir was controlling a lot by not talking to Sanyukta at all. Because he knew that if he did, then he would end blurting out the truth to her. However, Sanyukta noticed his behaviour and was highly irritated with it. She wished everyone a goodnight and went to sleep. Randhir was... well he was shamefully gawking at her. Now that he knew she was HIS BASANTI!!!
At Suryavanshi Mansion
Niharika had come out of the kids room after reading them a bed time story and put them to sleep. She was seething with rage as she didn't know what her husband was upto this time. She felt he was trying to act as a cupid for these lovebirds. She was ready to help but she wanted to know every decision of his before its disclosed to them. She barged open their room to find Vardhan kneeling down with his hands on his ears asking for a sorry. She smiled looking at this and asked him to get up. She went and sat on the bed and he joined her.
Vardhan: Naaraz ho?
Niharika: When you know why do you even ask?
Vardhan: sorry na.
Niharika: Care to explain?
He narrated the entire incident of how Randhir had found out about Ankit and finally about Sanyukta. When he finished he saw Niharika looking at him with a confused expression
Vardhan; Kya hua?
Niharika: Ham sab tho yahi chahthe the na. Ki woh khud Sanyu ko dunde. Jab he did it why are you sending Dhwani away?
Vardhan: Arey Dhwani should also realise that Ankit is chipkoo na. Tabhi tho bang on hoga!
Niharika: Are we not interfering too much?
Vardhan: No jaan!
Niahrika: Don't Jaan me when am very serious!
Vardhan: Kyun? You get turned on?
Niharika: Vardhan!!!
Vardhan: Haan? Kyun bulaya?
Niharika: You are impossible. (she got up only to be pulled back by her husband and land on his lap)
Vardhan: Aur iska reason bhi tum hi ho! (Saying this he latched his lips with hers and turned the lights off)
