Chapter 21: Three down!
They all had ordered their pizzas and were waiting for the same. Meanwhile, all of them were talking but Randhir spoke only when he was asked anything. Sanyukta found it very hard now. After a few minutes their order was delivered. Sanyukta was trying to use her hand and eat, but she was unable to as she could not bend her arm due to the bandage. Randhir noticed this and offered his help.
Randhir: Any help?
Sanyu: Oh you remember me? Mujhe laga tum bhul gayi ho.
Randhir took the slice from her plate and was helping her eat. Jiggy on the other hand was busy flirting with Kastuki and ParKit were talking some business issues. None of them noticed that Randhir was helping Sanyukta.
Sanyu: Sorry? Ab to maaf kar do. Arey mein tho busy thi. Upar se I left my cell at home.
Randhir: Hmmm.. morning reply kyun nahi kiya?
Sanyu(innocently): That was your number? Mujhe laga koi wrong number se msg aaya!
Randhir just laughed at her innocence and forgave her for avoiding him.
Sanyu: Thank god! Kitna gussa karte ho yaar. Agar GF ne aisa kiya tho?
Randhir: Haha. She wont do.
Sanyu: Acha? Tho Gf hai? Bataya nahi!
Randhir: You never asked.
Sanyu: Ab batao na!
Randhir: Some other day. Now we have to get going. Kaam nahi hai kya?
Sanyu: Kaam? Bhai Parth Kastu. Chalo chalo bahut saara kaam baaki hai.
Parth: Chill Sanyu! Listen ab mein aur Ankit ek meeting ke liye jaa rahe hain. Tum log ghar jao na.
Kastuki: Arey! Nahi nahi. I have some issues to be sorted out with Anirudh.
Sanyu: So what will I do?
Jiggy: Tum hamare saath aajao. We will spend some time together. Evening let them come home.
Ankit: Good. Tum ab akeli nahi ho. Jao. Bye.
Soon all of them left the restaurant - ParKit and Kastuki went to their respective work spots and Jiggy, Randhir and Sanyukta went to the guest house. They were talking for a long time. Suddenly Jiggy out of the blue asked Sanyu "Sanyu, Kastuki kisi se date ki hai kya?"
Sanyu(surprised): Kyun?
Jiggy: Bas aise hi
Sanyu: Why does that matter? Even if she has?
Jiggy: Pata nahi.
Sanyu: Jiggy. People can have a past right? That does not mean ki they will spoil the present. Give time and they definitely will move ahead.
Jiggy: I just wanted to know Sanyu.
Sanyu: You could have asked her directly. Dekho, you should be very honest in a relationship. Trust is something that should be blind.
Jiggy: Kyun? Tum kisi se pyar karti ho?
Sanyu: Haan!
Randhir: Kya?
Sanyu: What? Even you told you have a GF. Then why should I not have a BF?
Jiggy: Wah! Who is he? Kab mila rahi ho?
Sanyu: Waqt ane par. Waise Jiggy, Kastu has not dated anyone so far. You are the first guy she's showing some interest.
While Jiggy was happy, Randhir was a little disturbed. He didn't know why, but he was not feeling good. He excused himself and went to his room to do something. He reached his cupboard, took out the silver chain which he put it in the drawer last night. After seeing it, he felt better. HE had the sudden urge of searching his Basanti. But where will he start. That's when he got a call from his dad.
Randhir: Hey dad! Sup? Sab teek? Now you remember us?
Harsh: Arey nahi beta. Nothing like that! Tho what else?
Randhir:Dad hame deal sign karne ke baad ek guest house mili hai. We shifter here yesterday only. Aur O&S Industries's auditor hamare friends ban gaye. So they helped us shift the house and arrange stuff.
harsh: Acha? Very good na. Now that you have made friends. Good good.
Randhir: Bahut ache log hain! Aur unke saath ek aur ladki hai, jo Mishti ke saath internship kar rahi hai.
Harsh: Very good!!! Waise Randhir suno na!
Randhir: haan!
Harsh: Dekho mein tho kuch serious baatein bat karne ke liye call kiya hai! Princess ke bare main
Randhir: Kuch pata chala?
Harsh: Haan. With a lot of difficulty!
Randhir: Oh thanks dad! Tell me na!
Harsh: Hmmm . woh ek auditor hai. Ab Delhi mein hain. Par pata nahi, she might be going to mumbai. Confirm nahi hua hai yeh sab!
Randhir: Oh! Where does she work?
Harsh: Until now she was working in Kish's firm. But she's changing her job!
Randhir: Any idea about the name of the firm?
Harsh: Haan! He told me something. I for
Randhir: Hello? Hello?
The line had gone dead before his dad could say anything more. Randhir immediately took his laptop and started searching for girls who were auditors and having surname Aggarwal. There were a number of girls. Soon he was making a note of all the names and was determined to find his Basanti. He lost track of time, as he was so engrossed in his work, that when he heard a knock on the door, he jumped a little.
Randhir: Come in
Sanyu: Hmmm. We are leaving.
Randhir: oh am sorry didn't spend some time with you guys, actually was not feeling well.
Sanyu: Its ok. Take care!
He came out of his room and saw all of them standhing bidding good bye to each other. Soon all of them left. Dhwani noticed that her brother was suddenly looking more fresh and happy than before.
Dhwani: Kya baat hai bhai? Kuch alag dikh rahe ho?
Randhir: Aisa kuch nahi.
He was saved by a beep from his cell. Soon he went to check it and found that there was a mail from O&S Industries to report at 11 for a meeting. They all had dinner as Dhwani narrated her experience at work today. Later all of them retired to bed. Just as Randhir was about to sleep, he got a message.
Randhir: itni raat ko kaun msg kiya?
He opened to see a good night message from Sanyukta. His lips automatically curved into a smile, and he replied back "Good Night, Randhir dreams ;)" to which he received a straight face smiley. With this their texting stopped and soon both had drifted into deep slumber.
Next day at around 10:30, Jiggy and Randhir left for the meeting which was scheduled at 11. As they entered, they saw Ankit and Sanyukta getting down from their car and walking inside discussing something very important. Again Randhir was lost in her, but soon realised it and mentally kicked himself for doing so.
When they entered, they saw the entire board along with Ankit and Sanyukta were waiting for them. There was another person whom these people didn't recognise.
Vardhan: What a timing guys. Good.. Its good. So take your seats gentlemen.
Niharika: So, now that we have decided that we will start our project soon enough, we have called upon the operations manager from our Mumbai division. He will now give us a detailed report as to when we can start the building. Mr.Singh ?
Mr.Singh : Good morning ladies and gentlemen. So as I have gone through the reports submitted by our staff, it is evident that we will be getting the land in about a weeks time. Once its transferred to our name, then we can begin with our project. Basic designs have been made, as in the layout and stuff. We have about a month to authorise or rather confirm the designs as we have to submit the same to the registrar.
Member 1: So who will finalise the designs?
Mr. Singh : I request Mr. Shekawat and Mr. Patel to finalise it along with our team. Since it's a JV (Joint Venture) equal participation will be appreciated I guess.
Randhir: Absolutely. We would love to.
Mr. Singh : Great! But I have another issue regarding which decision has to be taken.
Vardhan: What is it Mr. Singh?
Mr. Singh: Mr. Suryavanshi, as you are aware that this is a very big project, I feel it would be better if there are persons who can supervise the entire project. As in apart from project supervisor, someone from the board - to deal with the fianance and technical aspects
Vardhan: Hmmm. I understand your view point. Hmmm I think it would be better, if Mr. Patel and Mr. Shekawat handle the technical aspects since the entire project is based on Swiss techniques. And with regard to Financial assistance I guess Ms.Agarwal, once she has been appointed as the CFO, she can handle it.
S,R,J - Definitely !
Vardhan: So its good. Lets get to work them. Mr. Singh, call your team here so that we can get started soon. Once the team is here I request Mr. Shekawat and Mr.Patel to come here regularly and assist our team.
R,J: Sure!
Niharika: Mr. Agarwal you have any queries?
Ankit: I would like to know how much funds we are borrowing and what type of fund. I would like to have a report on that!
Mr. Singh: Consider it done Mr.Agarwal. Will send it across to you soon. I request Ms. Agarwal to go through the same once before we finalise it.
Sanyu: With pleasure!
Vardhan: Good. So all the best to all of us! Good luck.
With that the meeting was concluded. Randhir, Jiggy, Sanyu and Ankit left from there. They had lunch together and from there, Ankit and Sanyu left to their office, while Randhir and Jiggy went back to their guest house. Randhir and Jiggy immediately started working as they had to go throught the designs.
Meanwhile, Sanyu and Ankit were chatting while others came back home. Kastu freshened up and had to make dinner. At the dinner table they were all discussing the day's events. The next day was Saturday and they all were free. So they wanted to enjoy. All of them were discussing what they would be doing. Finally they decided that they would be going to a movie and then to a mall. Ankit suggested that that they should invite Jiggy, Randhir and Dhwani. Kastuki called Jiggy and informed the same. Meanwhile, Sanyu was busy texting someone. "How will I tell them that am also going to Mumbai?" she sent this and stood up from the hall and went to sleep. Her cell again beeped "Its better if you tell them, instead of Ankit" came the reply. But Sanyu had slept off by then...
