Shubhi kept close watch on her cell's screen, which intrigued Nakul. He was not a tech saavy neither he knew much about phoned but he was a really handsome guy with great fashion sense and a good sense of humour.
"Oh! Now I see! You are checking yourself out on the screen! Like the mirrors of the world are less!" He remarked teasingly.
"Oh yeah! I thought of checking myself out! Atleast that is better than checking my jacket ten times before we left for the castle!" Shubhi gave him quick wit answer, thus pointing to Nakul's love for his new leather jacket.
"It expensive! And come on... Admit it ! It is better than your phone" he told her with great pride, zipping his jacket up.
"Aah! I see! You finally proved yourself a monkey! Because no human would compare mangoes and poison!" She told him with a smile.
Nakul, for a second, tried to decode what she meant, then, answered her back "Well! Poison's classic!"
"Shut up! You too! I am trying to concentrate on driving! There is lot more than just fighting for your phones and jackets!" Told Yudhishtir, who was driving the car. He was quite worried and confused about the plan they had made.
"What about others? Where are they?" Bheem, sitting next to the driver's seat, asked.
"Exactly! Why am I the only girl in this car? Where's Panchi?" Shubhi asked. She was quite irritated with Nakul's arrogant smile and his baseless arguments in support of his jacket.
"Well! Shubhi! We thought of that! First we decided to send you off with Govind and Dhrishtradyumna in their car but then, you said you wanted to go in the car which was going between the other two, so you had to come with us" Yudhishtir explained.
"Well! Enough of the explanation! But seriously! Who is going with who?" Nakul asked him.
"Let me see! We four together. Govind, Paarth and Dhristradyumna together. And then Vasusen bahi, Vrushali bhabhi and Sahdev together. That is it! We all are here" Bheem nodded his head with satisfaction.
"What about Panchi? She should be with someone. Right?" Yudhishtir asked him.
"She is behind the last car! Behind Paarth's car!" Shubhi told them.
"And you know that because..." Nakul asked her, leaving it to her to complete the reason.
"Because well! We all are out on a dangerous task! I thought it would be nice if I could detect everyone. So I secretly adjusted a chip in everyone's clothes. So that I could detect them. That was the reason I told I would go in the car which travels between the first and the last car! So that I can detect all the signals steadily!" She explained them, her eyes were still on her cell's screen which displayed the position of others.
"Smart Shubhi! That was a great idea!" Yudhishitr remarked.
"I wonder why is Panchi coming alone?" Shubhi said, she knew Panchi was emotionally hurt since she had found the truth about her previous life and travelling alone at such a time could be dangerous.
While Panchi drove her car behind others, she was thinking about Paarth. All the while Paarth had tried his best to explain her that he loved her but she could not accept any love which would cost her self respect.
She looked outside the window. Trees with green leaves and fresh life passed away and trees with red leaves and a decayed feel approached closer. That was the very truth of life. Every minute you leave your life away and come a minute closer to your death. You can enjoy your life till the utmost possibility but one day, you will fade into the reflections of the green trees and thus become a part of the past. Thus, entering the red trees, a life full of danger and unknown adventures.
Just as she passed by the trees she saw light coming from between the woods. Her eyes deepened to the intensity of that light and her head started ringing with a thousand questions. She got off her car to check it out herself. She was not afraid of anything nor did she fear any consequences. Thus, she went towards the light, into the trees.
"Panchi's unavailable!" Shubhi exclaimed.
"What!" The other three were left shocked.
"Oh come on! Your stupid cell phone is of no use!" Nakul remarked carelessly.
"Shut up! Just a second ago, she was available, I could trace her. But now! I cannot detect her!" She told them worriedly.
"Should we check? " Bheem asked Yudhishtir.
"We have to!" Yudhishtir told as he turned the car around.
