i had written this some 3 weeks back but my laptop broke down and due to busy schedule i couldn't go and collect it from the repair man.

Chapter 22
Well the rest of the party went with everyone in their deep thought process. A few more days passed which kind of made the three more convinced of the fact that Kriya was hiding something big. Sharon and Taani were now sure of the fact that Kriya that had come as a new girl in the college some years ago, who was helpful, cheerful, fighter, bold, scary at times yet generous was the real Kriya. But the reason behind her ditching her friends, dumping Rey, her behaving so rudely, the accident Babita Aunty talked about was still an unexplored territory altogether. Meanwhile Swayam had spent reassessing every situation and when his thoughts were somewhat not clouded by the hurt he felt because of the betrayal of his supposedly best friend, he too smelt something fishy in all the incidents, he could see that dots don't connect but where things had stopped connecting he wasn't sure of. Her sudden departure seemed to be the most logical area to be looked upon and he spent all his days trying to get to know anything he could. But he too learned that learning anything about Kriya is almost impossible. All he or anyone could do was wait for the destiny to play its card and help them find the truth regarding the girl who is becoming mysterious day by day.
A few more days passed by, no one could find anything about Kriya, Rey's attitude got worse with Kriya and which resulted in Kriya giving Rey even a harder time. Sharon didn't know what she should do. She know knowing that Kriya probably did love Rey and still does and hence seeing Rey's indifference attitude towards her, made her heart want to help Kriya but then again seeing Kriya give Rey such a hard time also caused her to kind of get angry at Kriya for troubling her best friend. But then imagining how hard it must be for the girl to behave so rudely with everyone she cares about made her sympathize for her. Also thinking how it would affect Taani's life who know was like a sister to her made her emotions sway again. Well the emotions that all were going through were not easier to decipher. None knew what and whom to feel sorry for more.
As the days passed the usual cool and calm Swayam was getting edgy. Well to feel like eating your own head off would just might be an understatement in his case. He just couldn't get to know anything about Kriya, what was he to do. Questions were in his head and his mind was travelling the path to know the truth regarding the questions but the darkness of that path seemed to be too much for him to handle and with no sign of any light it was getting on his nerve.
Well the two people were confused but the most affected had to be a girl who didn't even know what was right. She was in a dilemma, who won't be. She just was so sure that someone was there who loved the person she loves maybe even more than her, and even if the person loved her life less than her, but the fact still remained someone loved the person she loves now and due to some reason had to give up that love. The truth was that the person loved her boyfriend. The person had gone through a lot and maybe has gone through the hardships all alone. She got to know that the same person left everyone she loves for a reason, and to not know the reason made it even more torturous.
The days after the dance was a real test for the three souls but if it was affecting them so much then just imagining about what it must be for the two people who were at the epicenter of this so called life quake that had come so unexpected and has been giving shocks on regular basis. It was literally hell for the two. Rey felt guilty for drowning in Kriya at the dance and that guilt was eating him up and he had to face her every day, had to tolerate her every day, and had to fight of her thoughts regularly. It was hard for him. Meanwhile Kriya was, well she had probably got used to bearing the pain her life has been giving her since so long. But getting used to bearing the pain doesn't make the pain any less. And the pain she was bearing was increasing every second. If it was not hard to see the love of her life loving someone, her condition was making her force her friends, him despise her. If making them despise her wasn't enough, the life was playing a dirty game with her heart by bringing him close to her for a few moments which took him further away from her. But was something she could do? No all she could do was let her heart shield everyone she cares about, bearing all the pain and seeing the lives of her close ones a bit better healing away her wound. This was something that she knew one day might very well destroy her to such an extent that even God might not be able to do anything. But would she care? No, all she cared was her friends and Rey who were all she had left.
But when it seemed like nothing would change other than the increasing restlessness of a few and pain of one, destiny played its card. It wasn't a game changing card but definitely something that would push their stagnant lives a bit. Someone entered the life of the gang. Someone who was somehow related to everyone in different ways.
After the last class before their practice.
Person: Guys principal Sir has called your team to his chambers.
Rey: OK thanks buddy, we will go right away.
All leave for the principal's office.
Principal: Guys I have a news for you. There is another person joining your team. And I think you know the person. So welcome Kritika, your new team member.
All were rooted at their places. They were too happy to listen to that name. It was really their dear old friend who was also a great dancer and one of their closest friend. And a girl dressed in a really chick kinda outfit entered the cabin greeting principal sir and then rushing to hug everyone.
Kritika: Guys I missed you so much. But now I am here and so get ready to get bored with my talks. Well let's get out of here, princi has a lot of work to do then get bored by us. Right principal Sir.
Principal: you haven't changed a bit I see. Yes I have a lot of work. And you guys have your practice in some time. Introduce her properly to everyone. Got it. Kritika you will meet the exchange student who is here to teach you guys as well pretty soon. She is one heck of a dancer. You can learn a great deal from her.
Kritika: OK sir, let's see who this girl is I have heard a lot about. Bye princi. See you in the college. Chalo Guys we have a lot to talk.
In the canteen
Kritika: So how have you been? Tell me everything that's been going in your life. And who is the girl I have heard a lot about. I have heard even you guys are no match to her level. And what kind of a person she is. I have heard she is one amazing teacher. You guys must have got to know her a lot by now. Tell me everything about the things going on with everyone.
Swayam: Wait chatter box you need to stop talking to let any of us answer.
Kritika: Oops, my bad. You speak lover boy.
Swayam: You are seriously asking for a beating. Well we have been good but a lot of things are happening in our lives that are a bit difficult to understand. But one thing you should understand and get in your head right now is the girl you are so interested in meeting and knowing is a mystery and we have our practice to start in 20 minutes and right now all you need to know is that if you mess up or make her angry you are dead. She can be tough at times. And yes she is an unbelievable dancer, probably the best, as a matter of fact she might be able to match The KSG when comes to dancing. You need to be at your best to be safe in front of her.
Kritika: Swayam you are scaring me. You sure you are not pulling my legs. She can't be that strict right Sharon.
Sharon: No Kritika she is right. She is one hell of a person. You mess with her and it is like you are asking to be smothered to death. Well let's go to the rehearsal hall. We don't want to be late right guys.
Rey: Yes let's go, and don't worry Kritika, it is going to be fine. Let's go.
All proceed towards the Rehearsal Hall where as usual Kriya was dancing. The gang reached there and like always were mesmerized by the dance. And for someone seeing her dance for the first time was a total bliss. Kritika could just stand there and admire the beauty of the dance. She watched Kriya dance for some 15 minutes nonstop dancing to some unbelievable choreography and all she could say was beautiful. And the not so similar voice took Kriya's attention and she turned to see who spoke those. And as soon as she turned, someone just leaped into her. It was so sudden that Kriya just was able to maintain her balance.
Kritika: It is really you. I thought I might never get to thank you properly for saving me. I am so grateful to you for helping me.
Kriya was confused seeing someone she failed to recognize all over her thanking her.
Kriya: I am sorry but who are you? I don't recognize you.
Kritika: well you remember a few days ago a girl was being eve teased by a bunch of drunk boys and a super women came and beat the asses of those stupid idiots and escorted the girl to her home before zooming away on her skates. Yes the girl was me and the super women was you. Now remember.
Kriya recalled the incidents and recognized Kritika.
Kriya: oh yes I do remember you know but I didn't do anything special. So leave it. But what are you doing here. Every non team member is forbidden to come here during these hours. So you better leave right now.
Kritika: I am a team member. I have joined the college and also a new team member of the dance group. Well I haven't introduced myself. I am Kritika Dutta, I have been friends with everyone since some time. My twin brother was there friend and so I came to be there friend. By the way what is your name?
Dutta took Kriya's attention. How can she forget the last name of the person due to whom her life took the most drastic change!
Kriya: Well I am Kriya Ghai. You will get to know a lot about me from them. But you said you are Kritika Dutta. Just out of the curiosity what is your brother's name.
Kritika: It is Shivam. He kind of had a tussle with everyone some years ago. He kind of liked to win at any cost but he had a change of heart and repented for his mistake and these amazing people forgave him and we all became really close friends. By the way why did you ask about him?
Kriya got a shock of her life. She knew everything that happened in the lives of everyone including the knowledge of Shivam helping everyone to remove the ban on dance and she had forgiven Shivam long back but the possibility of Shivam revealing what he did a day before the footloose might just create suspicions was the only thing she feared. And Kriya was in no mood of answering why she asked and for the first time things helped her. It was time for the classes.
