Guys i know i have been postponing it for a while but could not help it. but anyways i am back. Haven't given much of thought into the chapter so if turns out to be crap forgive me this time. the chapter is jsut to show the inner turmoil and this is probably from where things start to change. though not sure.

Chapter 20
Saying he bid farewell and left. Swayam came home all confused. He wanted answers but knew there is no way he can get them. He was sure Kria was the girl Vishal Sir dedicated his award to. What made him think so was because it was clear in his voice and eyes how much he loved and respected Kria in some manner unknown to him. But the question was what he saw in her that was so special. Was it just the dance that made him that attached to the girl they hated but then he spoke of her as an inspiration as someone who would give him courage in case of adverse situations. Dance alone cannot be the reason his mind immediately concluded. Still trying to get the grip of the situation which was eating him up slowly. He kept on thinking, maybe the charity work she does that too being all alone is the reason that she holds such a dear place in his heart. Yes that is something I would consider something worthy of being respected. That is something that could inspire people to do something for others. But then did she really see us so low that she behaved with us in such a cruel manner. Are we the only people you despise Kria? I really can't get you. Did you hate us so much that you wanted us to get destroyed? Why Kria? Was I so bad? Were we so unworthy? I thought you were the best friend one could get which you still might be if you decide on becoming a friend. I really thought you were my best friend but you didn't think me to be worthy of anything leave your friendship. Was I so bad Kria? I don't know what to make out of you. At some point I see the sweeter side of you that makes me want to forget the past and maybe try being your friend again. And yes as if you would be my friend in the first place! He exclaimed sarcastically on himself but then you show us the bad side that literally makes us wish ill for you. Why can't you be just a single person? Why it feels that you are playing a double role to torture us. Why God?
Swayam cursed don't know how long before he drifted to sleep. Meanwhile destiny has its way to play things, plan things. And so did it have its own way to torture Kria and Rey even more. Well torture was a very ambiguous word. Dancing together was something their souls missed dearly but the positions they were in made it feel more like a torture. Well it was time for the most awaited monsoon party. It was were a girl and a boy who the college considered most apt for each other and those who looked most appealing together were crowned the king and queen of the rain dance. They had to perform a duet in the pouring water, an impromptu dance right at the spot. Well before arrival of Kria; Rey and Taani or Sharon and Swayam were the favorites to win but due to her arrival another rumored nomination circulated among the students which was Rey and Kriya. And if you believe the rumors it was like people already judged them the winners.
(Note: The official nominations are announced on the spot and people vote right there. And what Kria had heard on the first day was just the speculated nominees.)
But the gang members were never really into listening to the gossips regarding such topics. Well in the group it was thought the winners are going to be Swaron for the third consecutive year. (Note Rey and Kria were the winners three years back) They weren't even aware of the rumor of Kriya and Rey were considered as nominees. It was the same case with Kriya. Soon the party was announced the next day that was 20th August. Well St. Lois was famous for its grand parties as well. And like you would expect this party was also grand. The entire underground area of the campus was transformed for a party. With the roofs covered with shower pipes that were connected to a huge tanker. There was endless amount of water and being environment friendly they had devised a method to save up all the water which after that was going to be used for watering the plants planted in the campus.
(Note: Guys I am trying to give it only a little modern outlook for the party just to create some sparks in the party. First of all none of the elders were allowed in the party. It was just for the students. Also note I haven't mentioned about workshops as they were a bit monotonous for the next 15 days as they had to learn several steps for the dance face off that was due in some time. I'll talk about that later.)
Soon it was time for the party. The party started around 11 in the morning and It was about to strike 12 when for a moment the entire hall just stood still seeing a certain someone enter in the oh so sexy manner. Well everything she did appeared to be sexy to the college students especially the boys. Even the D3 boys couldn't stop themselves from ogling at her for a while. It wasn't that she had dressed up wearing something revealing or a sexy dress. It was just her natural beauty that made her look appealing and desirable. She entered the party and was drenched under the artificial rain in minutes. And the drenched beauty looked even more desirable. To the guys present it was like the goddess of beauty Aphrodite herself had descended in front of them. Her locks sticking to her face, her dress clutching her body and her face still looking as beautiful as ever with absolutely no make-up looked just out of the world. She entered walking elegantly which could literally give a super model a complex and it would be fair to say all eyes were glued at her entering figure.
Her look:
She went straight to the drinks corner and asked for a punch and settled at a seat. And after seeing her getting frustrated and starting to get a bit agitated all realized how it could turn out if she got angry and hence started to enjoy the party convincing their eyes not to look at the beauty present there. Kria didn't want to come here but she was forced to participate in every event conducted here as an obligation. An hour passed and came the time which the entire college was waiting for like eternity to see the two most appealing couple dance on a romantic number.
So as usual the d3 gangs were going to be the ones who will be conducting the stage. Well because they all expected Rey, Sharon and Swayam too be nominated they didn't conduct the stage instead it was conducted by Nicky bros. All know there sense of humor so who better to conduct the stage at a party then these two guys.
Vicky: So guys all set to see (stressing all the words individually) who is the most happening couple of St. Louis?
All hooting and shouting Yes chants.
Nil: Guys what are you 70 years old? We want noise. We want energy. So again are you really ready to know (again stressing each word) who are the most perfect couple in St. Louis?
All scream their lungs out chanting and hooting Yes. And meanwhile all were asked to write two couples names to be nominated. And a representative not one among the gang started counting and came up with the verdict in an envelope and gave it to the Nicky bros
Nicky: That's more like it so we are all set to see the nominations for THE Perfect Couple of St Louis 2014 are
Vicky: Are
Nil: Are
Trying to add some suspense and soon Nil opened the envelope to see the names but reading the names was left dumb founded. All he could do was stare at the names. Vicky found it strange and hence came to check on Nil and know what had made his lights go off all of a sudden. But seeing the names he too was rooted at his place unable to speak anything. The entire gang noticed and found it strange. One of them was about to go when the two came back to the real world listening to the eager students. They both looked at Rey and Taani and spoke
Nicky: The nominees are Sharon and Swayam and Rey and
They stopped for a second and spoke back in a bit of a low voice
Nicky: Kriya.
It actually felt the crowd burst out of enjoyment but there were 14 people from whom it felt like somebody had sucked all the air out of the room. It felt lightening had struck them. Everyone looked pale. They were caught off guard and were vulnerable. None was able to understand what just happened. And it's like all suddenly realized and looked at Kria who too sat their dumbfounded.
This time she too was caught off guard and hence a slight vulnerability was there on her face but luckily for her no one realized as they were too much busy in their thoughts. It all was turning into a nightmare. And out of all three people were most affected Kria, Rey and Taani. They were in such a dilemma. Though the winner wasn't even decided yet and there was a good chance of Sharon and Swayam to win but like the wind suggested it is going to be along and tough evening for all of them. It felt like an ominous wind was blowing.
Rey' POV
What the hell, me and Kria! NO! NO! This can't happen. I can't dance with her again. We can't be nominated. God why the hell are you torturing me. It was already so hard to forget dancing with her, how I would be able to forget this all over again. Please God please, please make Sharon and Swayam win. Please I will do anything, just refrain me and Kria dance together again. I really don't know how I will dance with her again. Please help me. Please help me.
Taani's POV
What the hell. Rey and Kria be voted the best couple. No ways. I am his girlfriend and the entire college knows it. Then how was this possible. What the hell is happening God. Rey and Kria no ways especially since I know they shared a history and Rey loved her and Rey had got attracted to her through dance. But there is also the fact that if Kria feels something for him she might slip up a bit. This could be a good opportunity to know which Kria is the real one. The bitchy self that she is portraying or the sweet, helpful and caring one who was so close to the two people I love the most. But then again if she is lying now and feels for Rey then what should I do. If she is what me and Sharon doubt then that would be great news for bhai as he would be able to have her once best friend back but the other side of the coin would suggest that she loved Rey a lot and still does. And knowing the truth would I be glad or unhappy I myself don't know. God please help me. I am in such a dilemma. What should I do or rather what should I wish. I want the girl who was friends with my entire family be the real Kria but that would mean she loves my boyfriend. God please help me.
Kria's POV
What the hell Universe jee. Why are you making it even harder for me? Dancing with Rey again, please no. I know I crave to dance with him every second but I also crave for his love and I know I can't ever have him as mine. He is happy in his life and the hatred for me would surely take him to great heights and you know that. So why the hell are you making it harder for me. Why are you making it harder for him? Isn't it enough torturing to him that he has to see me every day, see the girl who brutally broke his heart into several pieces that you are hurting him even more. You know I may not show it in front of anyone but it is hurting me every second every minute as well. Every rude behavior of mine pierces my heart, my soul, and my flesh more than anything. Then why are you making me go through this? What is the point? I know this would hurt Rey and Taani a lot. They love each other and me nominated as Rey perfect partner would have hurt Taani a lot. She doesn't deserve this. She has been for Rey when he needed someone the most and healed him so you don't have any right to cause her any trouble. I have never complained or cried to you for how my life has turned out to be, about what has happened with me ever and it is not because I am strong but because my strength lies with them, because I know they are happy and seeing them is enough for me to live strongly. I am so grateful for everything you have done but please don't make us win this title. It would be unbearable for everyone.
But like they say all mighty has its own plans already placed. We are mere puppets when comes to the situation we are put in. And he had planned in making their lives hell at least for the moment. He had planned to make them dance again maybe for one last time or maybe to make it their first dance that would change them forever. It was like god wasn't paying any heed to their minds and hearts that could be easily be swayed rather it was answering the request of two souls who wanted to dance together at least for one more time no matter what happens. People say lightening never hits the same person twice but today it was going to hit the entire gang again. The thing none wanted to happen did happen. Rey and Kria were announced the king and queen of the fall. And it was going to be a hell of an evening for everyone.
