Loved the chapter. So we have a Payal - Khushi talk. I wish they could actually hear themselves and take their own advice but glad to see them supporting each other.
Payal - Akash , so we have the proverbial problem of an imbalanced relationship, first it was Akash making all the efforts and now it is Payal making all the efforts. They have not found that middle ground yet., Me think it is a break that they need to see things in a better light and then work on their issues.
As for Khushi - Arnav - I think they have finally got their priorities right - each supporting each other. Arnav, a happy man, just make things so much smoother!!

Twiggy,

Have I told you before that I love you? Well, if not, let me tell you - I love you. You really rock girl...I have always been amazed with your ability to script certain feelings which are very hard to express and make others feel that emotion - be it pain, happiness, frustration or fear...you have a wonderful talent to put it across very smoothly...Here for example...you have done a great job with the two sister's vulnerable side...In Payal's case her admittance about relationship really striked a chord with me...Honestly I do feel the same... " Its like relationships are just not in my DNA, Khushi. I never seem to be able to do anything right!"

And in Khushi's case, her vulnerability was masked "You're sure that'll work? I'm actually a bit scared..."but Payal caught it on, and believe me most of the people wont observe this small fear or doubt, until unless they care deeply. Payal caught on and I felt so proud of Payal as a sister and loved her thoughts about Khushi

"Payal was slightly taken aback by the vulnerability in Khushi's voice; Khushi had always been completely confident about her talent and her story, and to see her doubt that was frightening. Had Shashi really managed to mess up so much? No matter how rebellious she was with her words, Payal knew that her sister would still do everything to make sure her father was happy. She hadn't just gone ahead with what he had chosen for her, she had done that sincerely and with all her heart. She was giving her dissertation all her time even if that jeopardised a great opportunity she had to live her dream. If something went wrong, Payal was sure she'd never forgive her father for doing this to her sister".

"Don't worry, Khushi. Its just.. either you decide that this dissertation isn't so important and focus more on your manuscript. Or, if you decide that you want to do this thesis properly, then just forget about the book till you have this done. You can't have the cake and eat it too. You cannot invest your heart and your mind in two things at one time. And knowing you, you are incapable of doing anything without putting your soul into it. Make a choice, okay? Know what you want."

Here again, I felt a connection to Khushi...havent felt this same about siblings? Sometimes the way they offer their perspective is with such clarity that we are left stunned...and we feel and agree to their thoughts mentally but sometimes we want to kill them for voicing becos they are right...but we might not be ready to hear it..."Khushi both loved and hated her sister for saying that. This was Payal - crystal clear in her thoughts priorities. She knew how to make decisions and stick to them, no matter what. That was a quality she had always envied; Payal was unafraid to take on any of the consequences that came with her decisions" Cant really say whether Payal's strong stance is good or bad...a little flexibility is always required in life I believe

Loved that texting in the end..sigh!!!!

There is no one who writes about relationships better than you Twiggy ...

"But, I cannot believe you are calling someone difficult. I mean, you aren't remotely easy going yourself. " ... Khushi's observation of Payal was so astute ... she nailed her problem perfectly ...
I feel that though Payal is blunt and outspoken at least she is frank and doesn't beat around the bush with her advise and opinion ... though the method she puts it across as is not the best and is taken amiss most of the time ... yet she does not deserve the aloof treatment Aakash has been giving her in-spite of knowing that she will be away for long time ... Either you are interested in this relationship or you're not ... Aakash needs to make a decision and soon ...

Khushi's dilemma and indecision was perfectly portrayed ... the workload and the time limit stressing her out completely with her not able to devote enough time towards any of her projects ... her manuscript or her dissertation ... Payals advise was spot on ... "You knew he was like this before you approached him, didn't you? You refused to go the other professor because you wanted to "learn" from this guy. Ab seekho!" she really doesn't mince her words ... 😆 that is our Payal ... "You can't have the cake and eat it too. You cannot invest your heart and your mind in two things at one time. And knowing you, you are incapable of doing anything without putting your soul into it. Make a choice, okay? Know what you want." ... worried that their father may have actually managed to mess up Khushi's choice of career ...

But one thing that Khushi is absolutely clear about is her relationship with Arnav ... 😆 😉 there is absolutely no indecision towards that at all ... the texting was really cute !

Thanks Twiggy ...

sweet conversation between Payal and Khushi :)
I really hope Payal is able to sort things out with Akash, otherwise she's right and it won't work out if they keep leaving it at this!
and lol loved the texts between Arnav and Khushi ;)
can't wait for the next update!

Will it work between Payal and Akash? things keep getting complicated and its more like should I watch my words before talking... They had a happy relationship before they were really close and now their true personality has come out being in actual situations... its a testing phase i guess... maybe separation will make them realize what they are missing... lets hope

Khushi trying to be perfectionist, and trying to multi task... well since the project is taking up all her time... its better to keep the writing on hold for a while... even their text chat makes up for being together... can't wait for the next update and I hope merchant doesn't intrude between the love making

Loved the update...

I think for the first time I feel sorry for Payal... She has made mistakes and so did Akash... And now when she is trying to work it out and putting effort, Akash is becoming unreasonable...

Loved Arnav and Khushi's message exchange... Cant wait for the next update...

Once again, I'm sorry for being a little MIA (story of my life for the last few months😕), but I managed to catch up starting from Chapter 26.

Shashi and Garima's conversation was so realistic and something I enjoyed reading a lot. They have such an understanding relationship and it's no wonder they want their daughters to have what they have with each other. I don't know why but even when I was upset at Shashi for not allowing Khushi to make her own decision about what she wanted to pursue, I always understood where he was coming from. And I know for a fact that Khushi will not hate her father for looking out for her best interests, even if she had to struggle to come to terms with it!

The party for Arnav's success was very well written - there was so much going on between all the different characters and you mixed it all very seamlessly. Of course, it was great to see Anjali get that little piece of herself back - hope this gives Shyam a wake up call. And of course, it was great to see the love and affection between Arnav and Khushi - these two❤️ But what really took the cake (pun intended!) was the way Arnav defended himself to Payal. I loved every bit of it. And I'm so glad he's regained his confidence - it will only help him in the future. Since the beginning of the story, I can really relate to Arnav and his situation. He might not have a "passion" for what he's doing, but he's giving it his best, instead of just sitting idle and trying to find that passion somewhere and there can be a lot said for that. I feel like a lot of us are so pressured to find our one true calling in life, but it might just be a utopian idea that doesn't necessarily exist for everyone😕

Khushi and Payal's conversation was also great. It was important for Khushi to realize that she can't take on this much and try to excel at all of it simultaneously. I think it's for the best that she delay working on the manuscript for the time being - just hope Karthik doesn't ditch her for it (but even if he does, he's not the only publisher in the world!).

Akash and Payal's relationship is just messy. Honestly, what's the point of them even being together at this point? There's so much going on there that I probably shouldn't even get started😆

So glad I finally got a chance to catch up on this story today - hope to read more soon!!

Payal and Aakash's relationship seems to be stuck in a rut. And with Aakash choosing to clam up like a petulant child instead of trying to work things out, things look pretty grim as of now. Maybe a little bit of distance will do them and their relationship good. Put things in proper perspective and all.

Arnav and Khushi: love how they carve out their little paradise amidst all the trouble.

'Chances-of-a-hot-update-in-the-near-future" alert!! :D

Lovely chapter, Twiggy.
