Chapter 1.
Sour liquid passed down his throat soothing his senses and body. Arrogance and smirk ruled his lips like he owned whole world. After all they were the pride winners of the nerve wrenching war. They began the feast right there. He saw the believers rejoicing the moment but it wasn't that they can be unscathed.
He could never underestimate his rivals. His eyes were blurring and he was sleepy. His body ached for rest and sleep. He cleared his throat.
'Off to Felistisia. You are free from slavery for a day or two', he declared notching his voice higher.
They cheered and striated away to arrange the necessity to go back to their palace.
He couldn't risk their lives nor his; It was too precious to be just lost by being driven away with delight. He stood there watching them with a steel and stern gaze.
He fisted his palm when he felt someone approaching him from behind. He sensed it closer and what happened was a reflex.
Jostling it away, he pulled out his sword and laid it against the flesh of a person with blood and soul. Crushing for defence against the tree, he glanced at those eyes which felt strangely similar.
His fingers wouldn't have took a second to take away the life if it wasn't off the eyes which caught his gaze. He had to just unwrap the veil to know and he tugged it away watching those brown eyes and he couldn't believe it was her.
'Still haven't got over it? Your kingdom has lost and we can enslave you. Be delightful that you are been given the freedom instead of Slavery', he breathed on her face huskily with a low voice. He didn't want her to be a prey to his people.
"You should be grateful for what I chose to do instead of trying to slay me alive", he announced.
He stepped back and she breathed when she was no more in the threat of the sword that could pierce right into her skin if she moved.
Her eyes were deprived of fear even with her life under stake; He thought of the first time when he saw her. It was in the battlefield. She was a princess of this Kingdom; His rival Kingdom. It was her voice which made the people her enact on. The marching footsteps alerted him and he groaned in frustration.
'Leave', he ordered shoving her towards the way she came from. She nodded her head in negation. His eyes fumed with anger. He felt he had mistaken her stubbornness to be confidence.
'Just leave', he screamed on her.
He was drunk but the effect of it flee away with the queasiness.
Arrogant. Stubborn. Egoistic.
He felt many words could define her qualities at this moment.
Sighing and nodding his head in disappointment, he just stepped his foot ahead to falter away leaving her behind the huge tree but she held his arm astounding him.
'Take me with you', she voiced.
Her voice was sweet and demanding. He would have wondered how a strong person could possess an entire different tone if it wasn't a situation like this but as the meaning of her words sinked in. He turned around startled and he glared at her with wide eyes amused and startled.
