"Are you alright?" He asked her the moment she stopped in front of him completely out of breath.

"Yes... Tom...I need... your... help..." She started still out of breath.

Tom tied Sharpeye's leash to a tree trunk.

"Relax." He replied her calmly so she could tell him exactly how he could help her. "Now, tell me, what's wrong."

Gwen took a sharp breath in and finally became capable enough to put two words together. "It's Dory, Dory Rephered my friend, she--- she--"

"She what?"

"She had a row with me and then she ran into the Forbidden forest."

"What! Didn't you stop her?"

"I did, but she didn't listen to me. I waited for her at the edge for an hour but she didn't come out, so I came here looking for her and I saw you. I couldn't possibly find her on my own."

Tom stared at her. Gwen was a very sharp girl, not that Dory wasn't. Dory was smart but Gwen was more than capable of finding her way through the forest as was Dory but she had approached Tom, so he couldn't deny her help.

"Very well, I'll find her. You may return to the Castle."

She nodded then returned as Tom made his way taking Sharpeye with him. His clearing was only a little way ahead. He would leave him there and proceed to look for Dory. He was still feeling a bit strange at the idea of her running into the forest like that. It was extremely irresponsible of her.

Tom tied Sharpeye with the rest of the Hippogriffs desperately missing his Lunch break. His Dungeon had yet to be decorated and here he was looking for Dory.

Forbidden Forest wasn't exactly dangerous if you didn't count Hagrid's friends. But perhaps for a student who doesn't know enough magic the place can be fatal. He couldn't ignore his responsibilities but the aspect of another meeting with Dory wasn't inviting.

It was a mild day, not to mention a bit chilly. He moved on. As he went deeper the trees thickened and the light became a little too less to see.

"Lumos." He ignited his wand and proceeded.

He walked on and on, now he was suspecting that he had come the wrong way and then suddenly he heard a shriek. He ran forwards, pointing his wand at almost everything. Then someone again shrieked and this time he knew where the sound had come from. He ran in its direction and to his horror ran straight into a clearing filled with giant spiders.

For a second he stood frozen then he saw amidst the spiders what had shrieked; a White slimy bundle which seemed to be moving. Then, with yet another jolt he realized that it was Dory wrapped in the spiders' slimy web. He pointed his wand at her and shouted,

"Relashio!" The web binding her body tore apart. She got to her feet and ran straight to him, threw herself on his chest and started crying.

"Oh, Tom you're here. You saved me, Tom. I am so glad, Tom."

"It--it's al- lright. Please, calm down." Tom replied awkwardly. He was a bit taken aback by her reaction. He was wishing she would let go of him but he himself did not dare to touch her. She would take it as a reply to her reaction, he was a teacher to her and could never be any more than that.

The giant spiders had not noticed Tom until he had cast the spell but now, they surrounded him and he found himself and Dory standing amidst hungry spiders.

One after the other the spiders fell as Tom stunned them trying to make his way through them. It was not at all difficult for him to stun them but he was one against hundreds. He wished Dory would help him stun spiders than stare at him in awe. He was doing well until a particularly big one stepped right in front of him and for the first time he couldn't stun it in one go. It took him 3 times to cast the spell to stun that one, but while he was busy with that one, others had closed in on them. He was lifted off his feet as a spider held him by his ankles in its pincers upside down and started taking him to what seemed like a web made shelter. He used all the strength he had to pull himself up and from between his legs he stunned the thing resulting his fall to the leaf strewn ground.

He fell face first and his forehead collided with a big rock. He stated bleeding. He jerked his head to shake off the pain and was about to get up when his eyes fell on something. A stone, black with an eye drawn across it. He lay surrounded by hundreds of spiders all of whom could nearly taste his blood but the stone was the one thing that caught his attention. His inner collector woke up. He knew he wouldn't be able to resist taking it. He pocketed it then turned over and saw another spider advancing on him. This time he didn't let it overpower him.

He stunned it and one after the other kept stunning, running at a fast pace at the same time. He grabbed Dory's arm and made her run with him. Out of the clearing they were still being followed by spiders. Finally, when completely out of breath they reached the edge of the forest the spiders backed away.

Tom stood for a few minutes bent down catching his breath. Dory was standing a little way away from him, breathing hard too. When Tom could find his voice again he turned to Dory.

"Are you feeling alright?"

She didn't reply but started rummaging into her pocket for something.

"Miss. Rephered-----?"

She cut across him pulling something out of her pocket wrapped into a thin golden paper. "Tom, would you like a chocolate?"

Tom who didn't understand what she meant, looked at the thing wrapped in golden then understood what she meant. But was she out of her mind? They had just escaped a herd of giant spiders and she was offering him a chocolate?

He walked up to her. "Miss. Rephered are you feeling well?"

A minute ago she was feeling well but when he approached her she suddenly made a swiveling movement and fainted right on to him all over again. Tom sighed, conjured up a stretcher on the ground and laid her on to it then levitated it with him into the Castle. He went straight to the hospital wing.

Madam Brown took the girl. Healed his head injury with a flick of her wand, and asked him what had happened.

"Apparently, she had a row with a friend of hers and had run into the forbidden forest. Her friend met me and told me what had happened. I went in to find her, she had been caught by the giant spiders there. Rescued her and brought her out."

"Row with her friend? This is Dory Rephered, isn't it?" Madam Brown asked.

"Yes, why?"

"I saw her out of the window, her friend was escorting her into the forest, it didn't seem like they had row."

"I don't know, she is a bit strange. When we came out into the grounds she offered me a chocolate, can you believe that?"

Madam Brown, for the first time ever in his life giggled a bit, then, "Now, I know what this is all about. You didn't eat the chocolate did you?"

"Of course, not. Why though?"

"It was filled with the love potion."

Tom gaped at Madam Brown, looked at Dory lying on the bed and felt his ears go red. In all that had happened he had nearly forgotten that it was Valentine's.

He wished Madam Brown a good day and left the wing feeling embarrassed.

First, about Estella and Tom's conversation about his family, he's told her everything everyone else knows about him other than Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny.

And for your second question, I am super excited to answer that 😛 I have given Tom's description in chapter 5. He does not resemble the younger version of Voldemort. Mostly, he's got the beauty of his mother. Bellatrix was undoubtedly good looking regardless of who and what she had been. Also, I have a few faces in mind, to establish Tom's character but the main features that make him stand out are his smile and his expressions. He doesn't say everything he feels to everyone but his face expresses too much, even more than he lets on. Those who actually know him, people close to him, can tell what he's thinking of just by looking at his face.

I and _Moona_ were thinking of establishing a poll here on IF regarding taking an actor that best matches Tom's descriptions. If you have any names, I am open to suggestions. The same goes for everyone else. If you have an actor in mind who can carry Tom's character, do suggest his name.
