Harry Potter and the Return of Voldemort: edited the post on page 32 - Page 25

Harry conjured up a stretcher. He put Tom over it then took him to the hospital wing with Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Estella in wake.

Lavender was aghast to see him. She took off his shirt and put him on to the bed. She wiped all the blood off him but there was no end to the bleeding though the wound could be seen properly now. It had turned nearly black. She could see whatever had penetrated him had been poisoned. Nevertheless, she pulled out her wand and tried every healing spell she knew of but none worked. On Harry's order Lavender moved aside and Harry stepped forwards. He used a common healing spell. He knew the Elder wand would not deny him anything. Sure enough the wound healed but to his astonishment a few seconds later it reappeared. Whatever posion it was, it seemed incurable. Harry tried healing it a few times but the same thing happened. Although, the wand was doing it's job, the poison wasn't giving in.

Ginny and Ron escorted Estella back to her room after convincing her that Tom would be fine. Ron and Ginny entered the hospital wing again to find two very unlikely people staring at everything. Seth and Malcolm looked white. Ginny put a curtain around Tom's bed and entered the curtains following Ron.

"Harry, I think he's been stabbed."

Harry looked at the wound and realized that he had indeed been stabbed.

"There is poison in this wound." Lavender who looked whiter than ever spoke after a moment. "I will call Padma, see if she has a curing potion."

Harry nodded as Lavender left striding out.

"I can't believe I can't heal him!" Harry exclaimed the moment Lavender was out of earshot.

"It's the poison, Harry! It seems to be rare. Nothing is working!" Hermione replied.

"Let's hope Padma has something that helps." Ginny spoke queitly but they were all scared what would happen if Padma didn't have anything to cure this.

Minutes later Padma followed Lavender carrying a box full of flasks containing various solutions. The moment she entered the curtains, however, she froze.

"What has happened to him?!" She turned to Harry quite alarmed.

"I will explain when I can, at the moment, I need your assistance. Will these be able to counter the poison?"

She gulped down. "We'll see." She sat down on his bedside, putting the box on the bedside table. "We have to wake him. He'll have to drink these.

"I don't think we can do that." Lavender replied her rather shivery herself. "But I have a solution, you can mix any of these in it and these will work even if applied to the wound." She rushed to her office, and from a wooden cabinet brought a silvery solution.

Padma took it, then one by one she tried each potion she had but none worked. She had reached the last when she sat there with her hands shaking and tears streaming down her eyes. She applied it but again to no avail whatsoever. Before any of them could stop her she stood up and strode out of the curtains around Tom's bed.

Ron followed her outside. "Padma, are you alright?" He asked her. She stood with her back to him but he knew she was crying. She wiped her tears hastily but when she turned to him more streamed down them. Ron hugged her tightly.

"He'll be fine, don't worry." Ron knew she needed someone to tell her that because what he had seen in her eyes had although shocked him, he had gulped it down quietly. They had to find a way to save Tom first. Everything else could wait.

Behind the curtains Harry, Ginny, and Hermione all stood rooted to the spot. Nothing had worked. The poison was winning over all their power and they all stood there helpless. Harry had never thought their plan would have such an end. He stepped forward toward the bed and bent over Tom. He looked at his young, innocent face. He remembered the million dollar smile that was always on his face no matter what, remembered the long hours they had spent in Harry's office. Harry reached out and ran his fingers through his hair as he remembered the words he had said to him "You have me, like a friend, like a father." and two tears ran down his face and fell on Tom's forehead. Harry suddenly remembered something. He stood up straight.

"Fawkes!" Fawkes appeared in front of Harry in a ball of fire. Harry looked at him and then at Tom. Fawkes flew to Tom's bed and sat down with his head bowed over the wound. Thick, warm tears fell from Fawkes' eyes on Tom's wound and as they saw the wound started healing and within seconds the wound had healed completely leaving behind a scar for the slit that the dagger had created to penetrate him. Fawkes, his work done flew off to Harry's office.
