CHAPTER 11:
Taani entered her house trying to keep her tears in. Rey reached her house a few minutes later than her. Today, he was determined to get answers from her no matter what. He entered Taani's bedroom from the window. A tear was about to roll down his eye when he saw his angel sitting on the floor crying continuously but he wiped the tear away before it could fall. Taani noticed a figure on her right and was shocked to see Rey standing in front of her. She hastily jerked up and took two steps towards him after wiping away her tears, hoping that he did not see her cry.
"Rey, aap yahaan kya kar rahe hai? Aap toh aaj jaane waale the na?" spoke Taani with a stutter in her voice.
Rey completely ignored her questions. He knew that if he wanted to get answers from Taani, he would have to scare her a little because his stubborn Taani was not the sort of person who would give straightforward answers to straightforward questions. Rey took a step forward.
"Taani, don't you think ke humein Vishesh ko sab sach bataa dena chahiye?" questioned Rey, earning a scared expression from Taani.
"Kaisa sach?" asked Taani, already knowing the answer.
"Yahi, ke hum dono ke beech uss raat kya hua tha. Remember? Vishesh ko yeh baat jaane ka pura right hai. After all, all relationships should start with honsesty."
The scared expression on Taani's face became even worse.
"Come on, let's go" said Rey grabbing her wrist and taking a small step.
Taani stood still in her place and grabbed Rey's arm. Panic could clearly be seen on her face.
"Nahin Rey! Hum Vishesh ko kuch nahin bataa sakte. Please Rey, meri baat samajhne ki koshish kijiye!" panicked Taani with tears rolling down her eyes.
"Kyun nahin bataa sakte Taani?" asked Rey looking straight into her eyes. "Iss liye, kyunki tum Vishesh ko hurt nahin karna chahti...ya phir iss liye, kyunki tum mujhe hurt hue nahin dekh sakti?"
Taani was shocked by Rey's words.
Rey grabbed Taani by her shoulders and pinned her to the wall, getting straight to the point.
"Kyun? Kyun kiya tumne aisa?! Tum itna bada sach kaise chupa sakti ho Taani?!" shouted Rey while holding her in a tight grip.
All he got in response was Taani's loud weep.
"Answer me dammit! Kyun kiya tumne aisa?!" repeated Rey in a louder voice.
"Because I Love You Rey!" yelled Taani in a loud voice, crying really badly. "I Love You."
There was a moment of silence between the two. A lone tear rolled down Rey's eye as he heard the three magical words from her mouth.
Taani turned around, facing her back to Rey.
"Jab main pehli baar aap se door gayi thi, tab mujhe realize hua ke main aap ke bina nahin reh sakti. Main waapis Mumbai aane hi waali thi lekin nahin aa payi kyunki Vishesh ne mujhe dhamki di thi ke agar maine unke saath engagement nahin ki toh woh aap ko..."
Taani turned her face toward Rey.
"Majboori mein mujhe yeh step lena pada. Maine kahin baar yeh baat kisi ko bataane ki koshish ki thi, lekin main bohut darr gayi thi. Agar Vishesh ko kuch chahiye toh woh kuch bhi kar sakta hai."
Rey's anger and hatred for Vishesh had reached no limit. His eyes filled with tears and were red due to anger.
"I swear main usse chodunga nahin" said Rey in a dangerous tone. He walked towards the door in rage but Taani quickly grabbed his arm.
"Nahin Rey, aap kuch nahin karenge" said Taani, holding his arm tight.
"Leave me Taani" said Rey jerking her hand off him which resulted her to fall on the floor.
Rey was about to leave but instead turned around and walked to Taani who was on the floor.
He held her by her arms and made her stand up. Taani placed her head on his chest and tightly wrapped her arms around his waist. Rey protectively wrapped his arms around her back. Taani wept badly as Rey caressed her hair and back, trying to calm her down and fight back his own tears. They finally broke the hug after a very long moment. Rey cupped Taani's face, wiping away her tears and brought her face closer to his.
"I Love You Taani. I Love You a Lot. And I promise, main sab theek kar dunga" promised Rey leaning his forehead against hers.
Both stayed in that position for a while. Taani had a small smile on her face. She was now satisfied that her Rey is with her. Now there was nothing to worry about.
Rey's phone began to ring. He checked his phone which had 'Swayam' written on the caller ID.
"Saala humesha romance ke beech mein hi phone karta hai" Rey mumbled to himself.
Taani heard Rey's comment, knowing he was talking about her brother, she hit him lightly on his arm.
"Haan Swayam bol"
"Rey tu kahaan hai?"
"Tere ghar pe hoon. Aur tu?"
"Mere ghar pe? Tu wahaan kya kar raha hai? Main aur gang Vishesh ke ghar jaa rahe hai."
"Zyada sawaal matt pooch. Bas jaldi se sab ko le kar yahaan aa ja. Vishesh ke ghar matt jaana."
Swayam was going to argue further but just decided to listen to his best friends orders.
Rey remembered that Taani still needed to take her medicines so he took the tablet box out of his pocket, gaining a 'yukk' face from Taani. Rey laughed at her cute expression and made her sit on the bed and he himself kneeled down on the floor and fed her the medicines. She surprisingly took the medicines without arguing but still made a funny face because of the bitter taste.
Rey admired her cute expression. He settled down on the floor and placed his head on Taani's lap and hugged her tightly. Taani roamed her hand in his hair and smiled at his cute action. Both sat in this position for a while.
"Taani..." said Rey, his voice sounding a bit muffled.
"Hmmm" replied Taani.
"I missed you" he said with a cute expression which Taani noticed even though his head was in her lap.
"I missed you too" she said bending down to give him a kiss on the side of his head.
"Oh..."
"...my..."
"...god!"
exclaimed Amar, Nil and Vicky separately seeing TaaRey's lovey moment.
Rey and Taani immediately jumped up from their places seeing the whole gang except for Kriya standing near the bedroom door with shocked faces.
Like always, Swayam's possessive brother mode did not fail to come.
"Guys, yeh sab kya ho raha hai?" questioned a confused Swayam.
The gang sat scattered around Taani's room while Rey and Taani narrated Vishesh's deeds. Everyone was fuming with anger, the things their friend had to go through because of one person.
"Taani tumne yeh baat humein kyun nahin bataayi?" asked Swayam in a slightly angry but caring tone.
Everyone agreed with Swayam.
"Sorry bhai, main darr gayi thi" said Taani as a tear rolled down her eye.
Swayam immediately went and hugged his sister. The gang one by one got up and also joined the hug. They shared a cute group hug.
"So, uss kamine ko kaise uss ki jagah dikhaye?" asked Vicky.
"Police ke paas jaaye kya?" asked Rinni.
"Lekin humaare paas koi saboot types nahin hai Vishesh ke khilaaf" said Aashi.
"I have a plan" said Swayam with a smirk.
Kriya had left college after rehearsals as she had some important personal work. She was at her house when there was a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw a man with a gift box and a card in his hand.
"Delivery for Miss Kriya Ghai" said the man.
Kriya was a bit confused why there was a delivery at this hour.
She took the box and went inside her room. She opened the package and the card. There was a small teddy bear and a card which had a love poem written in it. A big smile plastered on Kriya's face when she read the name of the person who sent her the gifts. She felt like screaming and dancing out of excitement when she read the name...Rey.
