He removed her blindfold and cupped her face in his hands to look into her eyes, a strange urge which had suddenly come over him. And what he saw made him speechless. It was those same pair of eyes! The same pair of eyes which he saw while he was dancing! When he touched her, he could feel the same emotion which he had felt while he was dancing.
When he stared into her eyes, she stared back into his, her brown orbs deep and hollow that he could see right through her soul and felt as if she saw his too. But the only thing was that she could not see it. But, she could feel it. Beneath this rich and popular celebrity mask, she could feel the lost and broken human which craved for love.
Her hand reached for his chest and placed on him, feeling his heartbeat. He closed his eyes in anticipation, feeling her hand on his heart. She rested her head on his chest, listening to his rhythmic heartbeat. Neither of them knew how long they stayed like that. But, given if an option, they would have stayed that way for eternity.
Suddenly, coming back to her senses, Sharon quickly moves away from him, bewildering Swayam to the zenith. She looked scared. A shade of crimson spread across her cheeks, making her look beautiful than ever. His lips pulled into an involuntary smile as he looked at her blush.
"Did I... did I hurt you?" he asked, utterly confused by her sudden reaction
"I'm very very sorry! I didn't mean to..." she said, trying to find words to say.
She didn't have words to say, neither did he. She made him feel alive, away from the "great celebrity" persona, while he made her feel complete. Neither of them could figure out the undefined connection they felt or even shared when there are around each other. But, the only thing they knew was, that they needed each other.
"Yeh kya kar rahi hoon main? Swayam Shekhawat ek celebrity hai. Voh bohot hi popular hai. Just because voh mujhpe taras dikha raha hai iska matlab yeh nahi ki main uska faida nahi uthaungi!" she thought, as she tried to push away that tingling feeling when he touched her.
Swayam was confused. He knew that their feeling was mutual, whatever the feeling was. She too had responded to his touch. He knew that she felt the magic which he had felt too. But, he was at a loss to understand this sudden behavior of hers. He went towards her, gently snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her to him, plastering his body to hers.
As soon as they made physical contact, her breathing grew shallow and heavier, heart rate increased and blood raced through her body, sending shivers down her spine. Her legs felt so weak that she would have sunk through the floor any moment, if he hadn't been holding her. His touch felt so good to her, but, it also felt wrong... dangerous. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, bringing his face closer to hers, his hot breathe fanning her face, their lips just inches apart.
Swayam drew his face closer to hers, his lips parting, wanting to close all the distances between them. Their noses touched each others. Sharon tightened her grip by clutching his shirt. She didn't want to feel this emotion. But, it seemed to over-take her, making her want this.
Just as their lips met... Swayam's phone buzzed, bringing both of them to their senses. Sharon roughly pushed Swayam away and moved to the farthest end of the room, keeping the maximum distance between them and turning her back to him.
Cursing his luck, Swayam looked at his phone's caller ID which read "Mark calling". Throwing one last, frustrated look at Sharon, who still didn't want to face him, he walked away from there, leaving a devastated and confused Sharon behind.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What do you want Mark?" snapped Swayam on phone, not understanding what is making him so angry.
"Sir... where are you? Everybody is waiting for you to have their lunch!" exclaimed Mark, confused by Swayam's moody tone.
A feeling of guilt washed over Swayam as he remembered that he promised to have lunch with the college staff. Cursing himself to the fiery pit of Hades, he made his way to the place where the lunch was being served.
"I'm very sorry! I just got held up with some personal thoughts." he told the college principal as soon as he reached there.
"Its okay sir, I can understand." said the principal. He led Swayam to the banquet hall. Swayam was in no mood for a feast. He just wanted to be alone with his thoughts. His thoughts were totally fixed on Sharon. Staying in this very college brought Sharon's thought back to him. Probably, this was the last time he will be feeling all this. After today, everything will be back to normal. Everything will be back to his usual routine. He will as usual be pre-occupied with his hectic schedule. There won't be anymore stupid magic. He wouldn't have to break his head over a silly girl anymore. He will never ever meet her again... probably even hear of her again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is it!" thought Sharon, after she done crying for what seemed hours.
"Kal se mera life phir se normal hojaayega. Koi jaadu nahi hoga. Phir se main akele hi rahungi, koi nahi rahega mujhse baat karne ke liye, mujhe pyaar karne ke liye. Mujh jaise logon ko pyaar milega hi nahi. Shayad main kisi ke pyaar ki laayak nahi hoon." she thought as she wiped her tears and got ready to face the real world again.
Those moments with Swayam seemed like magic to her now. His touch, his laugh, his voice... thinking of all this, she wanted nothing more than to be with him right now. Even though she spent just few hours with him, it felt as if she knew him since a lifetime. But, to her, he seemed too good to be true. He seemed like a fairytale prince. She laughed at her stupidity for wanting him so much. The truth was that, they were never meant to be, she thought bitterly.

Jise zindagi dhoondh rahi hai
Kya ye woh makaam mera hai
Yahaan chain se bas ruk jaaun
Kyun dil ye mujhe kehta hai
Jazbaat naye se mile hain
Jaane kya asar ye huaa hai
Ik aas mili phir mujhko
Jo qubool kisi ne kiya hai
As he lay across his bed, his eyes closed, all he could see was her face. Her eyes, the deep brown orbs that dazzled him, the flawless moves that concealed a thousand emotions in them and most of all, the soft touch which brought out the normal human in him. When he was in her arms, for the first time after he earned his name and fame, he felt like a normal being, away from the famous celebrity persona.
Haan..
Kisi shaayar ki ghazal
Jo de rooh ko sukoon ke pal
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjaare ko ghar
Main mausam ki sehar
Yaa sard mein dopahar
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjare ko ghar
Hmm...
For the first time he felt peace. For the first time, he felt something called pain. The pain of separation. This pain is what shows you that you too have a heart. For the first time, he felt human. All this while, he was a lonely wanderer. For the first time, he felt like he found a home... in her arms... or better defined, in her heart.
Jaise koi kinaara
Deta ho sahaara
Mujhe wo mila kisi mod par
Koi raat ka taara
Karta ho ujaala
Waise hi roshan kare woh shehar
He had never known love ever since his childhood. His parents had died in 2-3 years of his birth, leaving him alone to fight this cruel world. The only love he had ever known was the love for his passion... his dance. But this new feeling surpassed every other he had felt before.
Dard mere woh bhula hi gayaa
Kuch aisa asar huaa
Jeena mujhe woh phir se woh sikha raha
Hmm.. Jaise baarish kar de tar
Yaa marham dard par
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjare ko ghar
Main mausam ki sehar
Yaa sard mein dopahar
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjaare ko ghar
When he remembered her face, pain was far from nearing him. Remembering her flawless moves made him feel bliss. He felt as if he had taken a re-birth. She was a cure, an ointment to all his wounds. She was his solace.
His lips pulled into an involuntary smile as he re-lived her memories. She changed him. Because of him, he had learnt not just to exist, but live in this world. She made understand the real world through her thoughts. And it time that he made her see the world with his eyes.
Suddenly, he knew what he had to do. He had already lost many things in his life. And this time, he didn't want to lose her. The fear of losing her was making him frenzy. It made him restless. Whatever, undefined connection he shared with Sharon, time had come to define it now. Because, he knew, without any confusion, that it was love. It was time to find her... find himself.
